The Shadow Period

'Zarax, where are you? I need to find you. Please Zarax, answer me.'

Kyla concentrated through tear filled eyes. She then realised Zarax must have heard everything. 'Oh Zarax, I'm so sorry. I never realised. WHAT HAVE I DONE?'

Kyla fell to her knees.

 

*puts hand on kyla's shoulder* ''kyla whats wrong?''

 

"Zarax is in grave danger. He heard everything. I didn't realise how he felt about me. I think I've killed him."

Kyla gave up trying to be brave and collapsed into floods of tears. Nothing seemed to be simple.

 

*slaps kyla* get up!!!!!!! stop soaking if zarax is in troble we gattah find him and help him , c'mon lets find him love conquers all!!!

 

"You're right, we have to find him. But how can I face him. I've broken his heart. I never thought he would see me like that. Poor Zarax. Why did he never tell me? Am I so hard to talk to?"

 

no it takes boys longer to say they love us , it took zeke a month t say he liked me.

 

"Now I've put Necros in danger, and Zarax as well! I can see the last places he saw. Perhaps we can work it out!"

"By the way, why are my emotions so fascinating to you Scarlet?"

 

well i was born with the gift of feeling other ppls emotions and white magic.......but ur emotions seems stronger than the others dont kno why , and sorry for guessing who u liked earlier. I almost for got take these their heart charms give it to the one u truely love and on the battle field both u and ur love will become stronger , me and zeke hav one probably i can use mine to find him..........

 

"It's not fair. Why are you torturing me. I love Necros, I should have guessed earlier. I seem to understand him the best. But Zarax....I love him as well. Differently! I can't cope. once Zarax is safe I will leave. This will solve everything."

Kyla had hidden from her emotions most of her life, and couldn't cope with everything that was going on.

maybe u needed another girl to talk to i mean hanging with boys is kindah stressful....

 

"Why don't we track both Zarax and Zeke? You are linked to Zeke, and I have a bond to Zarax. His link bonds us close together. I am such a fool. I didn't see the gift for what it is. yea his shadows link us,but i hav a feeling zeke dosent want to be found he wants to do this on his own........lets find zarax first then we'll search for zeke.......

 

"Ok, if you're sure. But should you feel Zeke really needs help just say. I think Zarax is trying to hide from me. I really wish he wouldn't. I need to know that he is ok and I need to see it with my own eyes."

"I can sense him! Zarax is at the house." Kyla ran back and looked up at the roof.

"Stay there Zarax, we need to talk. Don't run this time."

She kicked off her shoes and climbed the side of the house. Sitting next to Zarax, she looked him squarely in the face. "I'm so sorry. I didn't realise how deeply you felt. You kept running, as if you didn't fully trust me. Please stay. We need you........I need you!"

 

Zarax didnt understand what was happening to him he knew he cared so much for Kyla when he realised his feelings he thought about what Xenka said as a child.

Zarax watched Xenka walk infront of him.
Xenka: Come on Zarax we gotta get home soon. Mother and Father said they have a present for us.
Zarax: Um, Okay
(Zarax scuttled a little faster)
Xenka: So Zara have you got a girl you like?
Zarax:Huh? Wah?
Xenka: You know, I like that girl who sits next to us. Shes nice to me.
Zarax: Uh, I, I don't know, sorry?
Xenka: Dont say sowwy, youll find a girl someday and when you do she will make you vewy happy, thats what dad says.

Zarax stop imediatly he didnt want to remember anymore all he knew is that Kyla made him feel that way, Zarax didnt want to hurt Kyla at all if she was happier with Necros then so be it, Zarax would live on as he always did, in the shadows, in darkness, alone.
Zarax watched Kyla come up to him, he tried to stop the tears dript down his eyes.
"Kyla, I am leaving, you cant stop me but please, just know this I never ran away I always left to divert the danger from you no matter how much it would hurt to fight alone, Since I met you things have been, amazing."
Zarax took of his knecklace and put it in Kyla's hand the knecklace then turned white and a dark deamon like shadowy figure apeared it was Zarax's body the body ran up to Zarax snatchnig the Knecklace. "NOOOOOOOOO, DONT!!!!" Zarax felt to the floor his body was turning black to purple and changing rapidly wing grew huge and hands turned into claws a large tail came out of his back and scales grew down his back arms and legs Zarax then cried out in pain as he couldnt control himself "NOooOooo, This Cant be!!!" Zarax's voice sounded diferent it sounded warped and deeper Zarax knew he would hurt everyone around him so with his last ounce of free will he ran towards the figure snatching of the knecklace and throwing it towards Kyla, Zarax then jumped of the roof and onto the floor opening up a portal Zarax and the body snatched fell through leaving the Portal open for a few seconds after. Zarax then apeared in a desolate wastland where he fought the creature he knew he couldnt beat the creature without the "Love of a Fair Maiden" as the Fable fortold, Zarax had opened the Portal in a world where time was not of the esscense there was no time just eternal prisons, there was no way to get out of here unless Zarax defeated the Creature. Zarax carried on battleing the Body Snatched creating loud clashs of claws smashing cries of pain and wings flaping.

 

'You can't leave like this.' Kyla dove after Zarax. She would not let him suffer alone. Whatever he was going through she would be at his side, as she promised. Death had never scared her, she was prepared for it. She would die with him if necessary. She closed her eyes and fell.

The portal he had passed through was still open. She would be with him until the end. He deserved that. Zarax had never been anything but gentle and kind. Necros would survive, get over her. He was young and would find someone else. Zarax seemed to have no one else. He was truely alone until now.

'Reach for me with your mind. I've come for you. I understand now and should never have hurt you.'

 

Zarax saw Kyla apear through the portal Zarax was shoked he hessitated and was stricken straight to the ground by this daemon, the daeomn stood above him and Laughed "AHAHAHAHAAAA You will never beat me, theres a reason I attacked you at this time, your in love, you could have got rid of me!! Ha You still havent remembered my name have you! "Triskth" " Zarax laid on the floor after being hit down he was frozen that name had remainded in his Nightmares forever he couldnt get back up but that wasnt a problem because Triskith picked him up and through him at Kyla, Zarax knew if he hit her in the form he was that it would hurt her so he grabbed Triskth's arm and ripped it of "AAAAARRGHHHH NOOO THATS MY WEAKNESSS.....AHAHAAA You still dont understand do you?" Triskith's arm quickly grew back but this time with a huge sword he struck Zarax on the shoulder leaving a large gash Zarax howled out in pain he didnt want Kyla to see him like this so he got up and ran as fast as he could at Triskith and when he touched him he bashed him miles away, Zarax through a sword at Kyla, on the sword a small message on black paper was written.

Dear Kyla,
I will never stop feeling the way I do for you I just dont want you to get hurt this sword is ancient it was made by "His" Bones if you lift it above you head and.........and shout the name of the one you love it will take you to that person znd Necros is outside this dimension please go, This may be the last time I see you like this.

Zarax closed his eyes for a second hoping that she would choose Necros so she could get outa here, and at that second Trsinkth slashed Zarax on the chest "Zarax come back to me when you can actually fight" Trisnkth shook his head and walked of into the distance leaving Zarax bleading to death on the floor but strangely all Zarax was thinking about was Kyla, Zarax then fell unconcious.
