The Shadow Period

'Zarax, I think you are inside me somehow....was it the other entity that did this to you. We need to track him and get your body back. Do you share my abilities or are you still separate? I will protect you as much as I can, and if need be you can control my abilities as well as your own.'

Kyla was beginning to wonder how much stranger life was going to get. This was the third time she had shared her body with others. At least she wasn't alone.

 

Zarax could only see what Kyla could see which made it harder. "Kyla, I think I can still use my abilities, but I think if I use them they may hurt you the only real ability I can give you that I can truely control are my wings and my wooden shadow blade, if you want them then spread your arm out and I will give it to you"

 

Starr looked at Kyla and thought, i want to help, I've never had any friends or met people who've had bonds like this. These people seem almost like family to each other or more.
Starr didn't want to reveal all her powers yet or for that matter her weakness as she still didn't know them well enough.

"kyla can I help you."
" I don't know how i could, but if I can I will."

 

Zarax through Kylas eyes and looked at Starr he sent Starr a Telepathic thought
{Starr If you ever want to learn how to use your wings? I could always help you?}
Zarax awaited Kylas reply for his powers.

 

Starr realised she was getting a telepathic message , she focused on It and wondered why Zarax thought that she needed help with her wings. She just didn't like to get them out they were huge when opened and overshadowed her slight form.
They were also her protection barrier from attack. Starr thought, perhaps she might benefit from a little help and wondered if Zarax used his wings a lot for protection too.

'Yes thank you Zarax'

 

scarlet then came out of the room limping then she tripped down the stairs

where is zeke, i heard him yell and he sound angry*tears fall*......just tell me where he went.......''

 

Zarax looked at Starr through Kyla's eyes.
{I was just thinking because I didnt ever get taught to use my wings also I perfected a way to turn wings into weapons, I just wondered if you wanted to know?}
Zarax then saw Scarlet fall down the stars he ran straight to her but was in a spirit form he ran to hold her but she went straight through her Zarax then pushed the sofa under her, he looked at his hands they where black and ghost like, he stood over Scarlet "Im not sure I was unconcious I think but Im not sure sorry, I think Kyla was going to go help him."

 

Kyla raised her arm and thought 'it may help you to have familiar powers. Can you reda mine and use them. I am willing to surrender my physical body for you to control, Zarax. Just tell me when you want to try this and I will let you take control. I trust you.'

To Starr she said "Thanks. Please help Scarlet if you can. I will heal her if she is harmed.'

Kyla ran to the stairs to help Scarlet. 'Sorry Zarax, this must be terrible for you.'

 

Zarax looked at Kyla and then in Kylas hand apeared Zarax's wooden sword but this time it was white and flaming, "WHAT! Thats not exactly my sword? Somethings happened to it? Maybe because I am without darkness, no that cant be I am the Darkness?" Zarax then looked at Kyla again and large wings apeared on her back but again they wear white and flaming.
Zarax shook his head "Kyla it is okay, I must go to his grave I will take his body and he will be mine at last" Zarax ran through towards the door but disapeared before he got to the door, Zarax then apeared in a black wasteland where in the middle was a long metal spike beneath it was a grave Zarax stood on the grave and then laid down he sunk into the ground.

A hand then apeared a large one with claws with a gauntlet on the person smashed out of the grave, "He will have no place to go if he dies." Zarax then picked up the large metal spike for it to then turn into a large BroadSword Zarax then walked out into the waste land and then apeared back at the house "Dont be afraid its me, Zarax, Ive taken his body, the deamon who stole my body, I am going to stop him...." He then looked at Scarlet "After we save Zeke I dont know all the abilities of this body but I know they are powerful and acient."

 

Kyla shook her head and looked at Zarax. "Is this what you will look like from now on? Could you not use my abilities?"

She grabbed the flame sword. "Where you go, I go. There is no way I will let you fight alone. I promised you that I would always be there for you. I......."

She looked at him pleading silently for him to say yes.

 

Zarax shook his head and looked down to Kyla "No, I will not look like this from now on I have to take my body back from the Deamon, I must question him privately though if anyone hears.............." Zarax put his cold rusty armoured arm on Kyla's shoulder "I will never leave your side but you cannot here what I must talk to him about"
Zarax then walked over to Starr "I will teach you the full extent and abilities of your wings. Later now we must go save Zeke"

 

"I understand" Kyla smiled at him. "I will check on Scarlet, she may need healing"

She walked past Zarax and Starr and left the room.

Outside she leaned against the wall, smiling to herself.

Perhaps I should ask Zarax's advice as to whether I can help with the sceptre, kind of keep it in the family! She also wanted desperately to know why Zarax could or would not accept her help when he was in her body. The smile faded, as she thought how she had failed them all so far.

 

Zarax folowed Kyla outside he put his arm around her, he didnt mean to read her mind but because of this body his powers are multipied.
{You havent failed us at all, you have helped me quite alot, with you I feel needed as Ive said so many times, I will stay by your side forever}
Zarax looked at Kyla to reasure her he was telling the truth.

 

Kyla smiled up at him. 'Thank you. It means a lot to me.'

She had no doubt that Zarax was telling her the truth. 'You are always welcome to read my thoughts when ever you want. I have no secrets from you.'

She kissed him on the cheek.

'Shall we get your body back?'

Starr stayed back when Zarax went out to Kyla , she could see by his face that he needed to be with her alone.Starr gave them the space as she didn't want to feel like a gooseberry if that what their relationship was. Starr knew from before that these people were like family or more and didn't want to intrude on the private moments. She remembered she'd already heard by accident a conversation that was not for her ears.


After a few minutes Starr went out she spoke to Zarax

"Where would your friend Zeke go? He isn't going to do anything stupid is he?."

Starr wondered if Zarax was going to get his wings out to search for Zeke

 

scarlet went to lean agenst the wall

{zeke i dont want you to think ur alone again......i promise i'll find u and just to make sure i do *balls up fist* i'll get stronger}

meanwhile deep in the forest..........

{zarax if u can hear this dont help kyla look for the sceptre and dont you all try looking for me or i may hav to harm everyone , dont tell anyone of this message plz dont.......}

 

"Everyone gather round I have something to show you all..."

 

"What is it Necros?"

Kyla looked in interest. Perhaps Necros had the key to one of the problems. He was smart and knowledgable.

She called Starr over to her. "Do you know Starr? She's just joined us."

'

 

"Yes I know her but I want to show you all something else..."

 

Kyla looked at Necros. "Well, what is it. Her eyes gleamed. Things were starting to get interesting around here...she listened carefully.
