The Shadow Period

*zeke gets up and picks up scarlet* ''hey i'm zeke'' said as he walked past starr with out eye contact...

*puts scarlet's body on a bed*i'm sorry......i'm really sorry...'' *zeke leaves the room and goes to where everyone else is....

 

Kyla groaned and started to open her eyes. She could sense warmth, love and concern.

"Zarax, is that you? I can't let Mephilas get to you. I'm sorry I'm not strong enough to do it all on my own."

She started to rise when she realised that he was holding her.

"How long have you been holding me like this? I'm sorry if I have caused you pain and concern."

 

Starr got to the top of the stairs and entered the bedroom. She saw the male who answered the door sitting on the bed holding a woman.

" How can I help?"

Starr looks around the room nervously thinking what has she got into. She sees Zeke and says "hello I am Starr"

Starr hoped no one would ask too much of her, she was not a healer.

 

Zarax shook his head "No, dont apologies, I heard what Mephilas said, dont be afraid he would never be able to attain my amount of shadow also alot of my powers are locked away and also he wouldnt be able to control them I am the Darkness I live in the Shadows." Zarax hugged Kyla "Do not Worry about me." He smiled at Kyla.

 

"You are the Darkness? What do you mean? Oh Zarax, are you the other missing experiment? If so I will protect you and Zeke together. I would give my life to protect you. Please take care."

Kyla rested her head agaist Zarax, confused. She trusted him, yet his words had disturbed her. Was he the evil that Mephilas had described a FR-001?

 

Zarax shook his head "No I am not another Experiment I was meant to exist yet I am still an Accident" Zarax made himself comfortable and told Kyla his story "I am complete darkness, I am the shadows I was meant to be the evil that balanced out this world but something happened and I was given a heart a soul a goodness, my life has been tragic and I dont know my point of living so I create one, Ive been searching for it. Now, I think Ive found it, here with you I feel needed. I have found my reason and I will protect it, I may be able to track this FR-001 if he really is controlled by evil." Zarax held Kyla's hand in a way that made her feel safe.

 

'Zarax, I can sense someone else in the room, a stranger. How did they get in?'

Kyla struggled to sit up.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my home?"

She wished she had regained enough strength to defend herself should the stranger attack, but she was confident Zarax would protect her.

 

Zarax looked at Kyla and then looked at the door "Dont worry that is just Starr I invited her in if you dont mind, she is the same as me, I feel that she needs someone and somewhere to stay, is that okay?" Zarax smiled at Kyla and got up sudenly he got a headache he was in agony he looked at kyla "ARGGH Sorry, Kyla I have to...ARGGHHHH......I wont let them ARRGH Get you..." Zarax felt to the floor and then looked at Kyla and smiled sadly "Im sorry, for this I will keep him at bay I will try and stop him." Zarax then went unconcious.

Starr saw the woman sit up, noticed the red eyes and realised she wasn't human either. Starr also noticed how uneasy she looked.

"Hello I am Starr, I was just delivering pizza, and you friend let me in. I first thought you'd just had a mad rave by the damage but obviously not. Your friend made me welcome. I needed somewhere to stay. Is that alright?"

Starr felt uneasy as she had accidently overheard the conversation.

 

Kyla stood up. "ZEKE, NECROS, SHADONIC, HELP ME!" she shouted.

She looked at Starr. "I'm Kyla, please make yourself at home. I don't suppose you can help me lift Zarax onto the bed? He is unconscious."

Kyla doubted that the thin girl would be much help.

 

"Hello Kyla, I can help you and Zarax, if you trust me."

Starr closed her eys and concentrated, Zarax's unconscious body rose up of the floor and floated onto the bed.

"Thats all I can do for him at the moment."

 

Kyla smiled at Starr. "Thank you, I really appreciate this." She was amazed at the slight girl's ability.

Kyla gently moved over to Zarax, and layed a quilt over his prone form. 'I don't know whether you can hear me, but I will always be here for you.'

She absently stroked his forehead, wondering what Starr was making of the strange events so far.

"Um, it's not always so hectic in this house, though we do have the occasional drama. Welcome to the family!"

Kyla hoped that Starr hadn't been put off staying.

 

*sits on the floor with hood over head*

''mephilas........u hav caused to much trouble in this house..........and you hav hurt scarlet........AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!''

zeke then punch a hole in the wall.....

''i must find a way to get you out of my mind...........''

 

Kyla heard the thump against the wall.

She was unhappy leaving Zarax in his vulnerable state, but she felt that an investigation was needed.

'I'll be back soon Zarax, if you need me just call.' She wasn't sure he could hear her.

Kyla found Zeke distressed and in pain.

"Zeke, what's the matter?" Kyla went over to Zeke and put a hand on his shoulder. "Scarlet will recover you know, she just needs rest."

'I really need more time to recover, I'm not at full strength. I'll manage though, I have to for the sake of the others. I can't be weak.''

 

''its not about scarlet.........its mephilas..............i gattah leave thnx for letting me stay here but i;m not coming bac until mephilas is gone...........''

 

"But you'll be on your own. I can help you fight him, and Zarax has offered to help. ou can barely control him on your own. Don't be a hero on your own. Please Zeke, I beg you!"

Kyla had seen Mephilas take over Zeke, and doubted that he could control the evil on his own. If they combined their power somehow then perhaps Zeke stood a chance.

"Look Zeke, Mephilas told me that he was originally trapped in the sceptre by Gharanth's Grandfather, Tar Mathan. I am the direct ancestor of Tar Mathan, perhaps I will be able to trap him again with everyone's support. I don't have evil plans for the sceptre, and I trust you all to help me remember who I am. It's worth a shot."

 

''no..........i'll find the septre i dont want anyone else to get hurt especially scarlet......i'll beat mephilas myself cuz i'm the only one that can beat him.....''

zeke then went out the door........

 

"Ok, you find the sceptre and then what? You can barely control him, let alone trap him. What you're planning to do is suicide! Listen to me and please stop trying to destroy my house any more than it already is."

 

''DONT YOU SEE THATS THE REASON I MUST LEAVE ITS BECAUSE IF I STAY ANY LONGER MEPHILAS WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!''

Zarax could here shouting in the back ground and a door slam he then felt Kyla's emotion change. Zarax didnt understand why he was in this state of unconciousnes and paralasis all he could see was darkness he then saw the Knecklace arond his neck fall on the floor and smash and then the face of the deamon apeared it was laughing at Zarax sudenly Zarax felt like he was falling, he could open his eyes but to his dismay only to see the pavement coming up very fast he then closed his eyes and was back in the room, Zarax opened his eyes he wanted to just lay there for a bit to be rested but he got up, he was controlling his body his body just got up zarax tried to sit back dont but he couldnt do anything all he could see was haziness and whatever was happening.

Zarax was moving towards Kyla his hand was now on her shoulder Zarax then felt a sinking feeling and then saw the face of the deamon "Im putting you inside her so I wont have to deal with you!!! Im going to go free myself for a bit, I hope you have fun." Zarax then opened his eyes and saw what Kyla was seeing and then Zarax's body was walking away towards the door.
