Kyla listened from the bottom of the stairs to the song. She closed her eyes and smiled. 'They love each other. At least they are happy now.'

She checked no one was following and slipped up the stairs. She remembered her father telling her about the curse and how she could love no one and not allow herself to get close.

'Maybe fantasies can come true. Zeke and Scarlet certainly seem suited to each other.'

 

*zeke and scarlet walks out of game room*

then scarlet went down the stairs and happen to see kyla

Kyla went into the master bedroom and sat on the bed. She took a small box out of the draw in the bedside table. Inside was a necklace with a strange crystal in it. She smiled and then closed the box.

"Oh hi, please come in. Zeke is very sensitive, isn't he? It's nothing really, just me dreaming. Just thinking about things that can never happen. Did you enjoy the dance?"

Kyla put the box back in the draw. "Lets go down stairs and join the others."

When I was a little girl,my father taught me about the curse that is passed down in my family. He warned me never to allow anyone to get close to me or allow myself the same. Someone tried once, and paid for it with his life.

I just saw you and Zeke together and it got me thinking. Stupid really. No one would want to come near me, not with my track record. Anyway, its not important.

Kyla looked confused. Zarax? She cared for him like a brother. Scarlet's radar was off target.

She entered the main room and smiled at Zeke. "How about some online clothes shopping, or would you like to go to the mall. Anyone else care to join us."

 

zeke: online shopping? *looks at scarlet* what did you guys talk about exactly?

Kyla laughed to herself. It seemed to be becoming a game of 'who does Kyla fancy?' but she wasn't getting drawn in.

She sat at the computer with Zeke and Scarlet, looking at various sites and buying favoured items.

'Are you alright Zarax?' she thought.

It seemed everyone could read her mind.

Kyla got up and wandered over to the table near the front door. There was a large envelope on it. "These are yours Shadonic, the ownership papers and keys to the bike outside."

She flashed a look at Scarlet which said 'Don't even think it.'

"I'm making coffee, anyone want some?"
