The Sanctuary

Larenzo patted the girls head softly. Barely considering the question a real one, the madman responded in an equally uninterested manner.


"They are my enemies and they wanted me dead. I suspect you won't have to worry about them though."

 

He still hadn't returned. Dressing herself in jeans and a long sleeved shirt, she walked back out into the street, blinking. She hadn't regained her energy, or her sensible state of mind, but she followed her way back to where the fight had taken place. "Dad?" she whispered.

 

Rea looked up at him. She was suddenly very serious. "I will have to worry about them. If they threaten you, their my enemies too..." She said to him with fierce, determined eyes. She blinked, not believing how serious she was. "Oh... I mean..."

 

In the center of the alleyway a broken body laid, spread eagle and twitching. The response was only a groaned, words lost past the lips. Victor was barely awake, but at least he knew she was there.

Slowly, Larenzo cupped his hand over his mouth. His body spasmed while he bent double. In a flash, the maniac snapped back up, laughing manaically before gripping Rea in a big hug.

"Aww, how much fire in that belly of yours. You don't look it, but your a real warrior, a true manic. Don't you think so drake?"

 

Eva knelt down, gently pulling her foster father up and wrapping one arm around his waist, the other holding his arm around her neck. "Come on, let's get you home." she murmured, worried, but hiding it.

 

Victor tried to laugh though his clouded vison, his legs barely supporting him. "What took you so long? I had an amazin nap. Never knew how comfy concrete can feel on old bones."

 

Rea blinked, surprised by the laugh and the hug. When she heard what Larenzo said, she smiled and slowly hugged him back. "Warrior? Manic?" She giggled. "I never really thought of myself like that... but... it means a lot that you do, Larenzo." Her grin widened.

 

Eva winced, slowly helping him walk toward the house. "I was angry. And I wouldn't want to be seen walking through the streets, naked with you. That would be just a little awkward. Now help me get you home and you can rest, and I'll make supper."

 

"Awww!" Victor mock groaned.

"Can't I just sleep here? It's convenient and you don't have to walk far. you're dressed right?"

 

Drake had his arms crossed with a smile "you really chose a good comrade. I can tell she will be a great help to us" Drake said with a smile as he looked at Rea

Seth ran up towards where the alleyway was after hearing some noise. He entered the allyway and looked around. There was still a bit of dust around the area I guess I missed the action Seth thought to himself and then noticed two people up ahead of him. Due to the dust he couldn't really see who it was

 

Eva laughed slightly. "Yes, I'm dressed, and no, you aren't sleeping here. Just a bit longer and you can sleep again, okay?" she bit her lip, watching him as she helped him walk. He needed to stop fighting and let her take care of herself.

 

Rea smiled. She finally had friends, her dream of being accepted by everyone was slowly, but surely, coming true. She didn't care what she had to do, she would make herself useful to Larenzo.

 

Seth walked forward and was surprised when he saw the two people ahead of him "Its Eva..........and the director" Seth said. His curiosity grew more. He wondered why the two were in the alleyway out of all places

Drake smirked and looked over at Larenzo "so what are we going to so next" Drake said

 

"I think..." Larenzo murmured absent mindedly, a finger to his chin.

"I think, personally, we should paint the town next door red. Then work our way back here. What do you say? Sound like fun?"

 

Rea blinked. She was suddenly nervous. "Um... what do you mean by, 'paint the town next door red'?"She asked. She hoped it wasn't what she thought it was... she really didn't want to do that... but she would if Larenzo asked it of her.

 

Drake closed his eyes "that sounds like an excellent idea" Drake said and smiled as he opened his eyes and looked over at Rea and noticed that she was nervous "Is something wrong?" Drake said still smiling

Seth walked up to Eva and Victor "so what happened here" Seth said with his hands in his pockets. He was happy to see Eva again but not so happy seeing Victor

 

Eva looked up, then blew her hair out of her face, offering a half smile at Seth. "We had a little trouble with old friends." she murmured, looking over at Victor. "I need to get him home, before...if they come back." She played out the rest of the plan in her mind. She would fight, and let him run. If he could run. Looking back over at Victor, she wondered how long he would last.

 

Seth looked down at Victor who was laying down infront of him. Victor was one of the people Seth hated a lot. He looked up at Eva and sighed. Wanting to help Eva, Seth grabbed Victor's arm and pulled him up. He then put Victor's arm behind his neck and got ready to carry him "leat the way" Seth said as he looked over to Eva

 

OOC: She already was carrying him.

BIC: Eva blinked, surprised. "Um...okay." She lead the way down the street, took a left, and unlocked her front door, waiting for him. "Why are you helping?" she asked, being a more straightforward person. "It's not like he's your friend."

 

OOC: Sorry I've been away, I've been really busy lately.

IC:
The way Leon reacted confirmed Rei's suspicion that he was bothered by something, but she decided to drop the subject. "Alright," she said, "let's go." She followed him to the door.
