The Road Ahead

Even though the day was rough
and you feel as though you cannot move
just remember the good times
and take that next step forward
for nobody will know what lies ahead
unless you take that chance

And even if that chance
leads to many problems
do not be afraid
for you will find a way around them
and eventually become
who you wanted to be

By taking that one step
you too can be as great
as even the King of all lands
but you must realize
that it will not be easy

The road that lies ahead
can be dark and treacherous
but know that there is someone
who watches over you
from above
and will let no harm
come to you

Be weary and be watchful
for you know not what lies ahead
but you cannot be afraid to take the risk
for if you are brave
then you will be
stronger than any man alive

He watches you from above
and makes sure you are safe
so why can't you take
that next step?
It's simple and easy
so just follow the path
of friendship
and you'll be fine

anyways... this poem describes how life can be rough sometimes but if you are brave and you stay on the right track then it can turn out in the way you want... :)

you really think so...? hmm... I didn't think the impact was strong at all... >.< I am going to put my poems on a disk and show them to my writing teacher... she might be a little worried that they seem so depressing... but she'll be glad I'm getting more into writing... :)

 

Good length Destiny....good free verse.....like the atmosphere....your becoming quite the poet......keep it up I like it....although I like your happy poems more than your little more dark ones lol.......*hug*......
