I want to ask about the replication program, I know Xion
is no 1 in the program
    and the Riku in CoM
    also belongs to the program
    but why didn't they
make more during the time xion was in the game?
(sorry if the tags are annoying but I don't want to spoil any for someone who hasn't played it)

i think its because they just were testing the program with xion and riku replica. and when they realize what the puppets can d, and seeing that they can get off from them control they didn't make another puppet

Wasn't Vexen in charge of the replica program. Since him and the other members of castle oblivion died so early in 358 days. Since Vexen died so early he wasn't able to monitor Xion

This is just what I think.
I believe the point of the Replica Project was to create perfect beings with no conscious. Replicas like that are less likely to rebel. And I think the reason they didn't make more was Xion failed as well as the Riku Replica, that's 2 failed replicas in a row. I believe Xemnas just shut down the project.

Yes, Xemnas ended the project indefinatly. But when Vexen was killed the replica project stayed intact, this may not be correct at all, or it couldn't be further from the truth at all, hear me out though:

Perhaps Xion and Repliku were made to test the effects of the project's stability in creating "servent" beings. Copies of the originals to serve the organization or others when the time came. But when Vexen was destroyed the project data was destroyed along with it.

Then some time in the future, the replica project shall make a come back and a replica Sora, Aqua, Kairi, whoever, will be made.

And this concludes my thoery, any gaps I missed?

I thought that Xemnas still had infomation on the replica program even after Vexen was distroyed? Other that that I think jet588's theroy will probably ring the most true

Vexen may have been in charge of it, but Repliku and Xion were test subjects, made to see how the program would work. Both were "successes", technically. They acted as if they were real people, so much so that Sora couldn't tell Repliku from Riku for a bit. Roxas and Axel accepted Xion as another Nobody, even a strange one.

The point that failed for the Organization, was that the two test subjects began to act out on their own, Repliku helping Sora, so he could ultimately protect Namine, and Xion trying to find who she was. That was probably why they suspended the project, because they lost Xion and Roxas when that failed, and they lost Namine and Sora when Repliku failed them. Then when Sora woke up, he began to eliminate members, so there was probably no time or members left to be able to continue it.

Yea, I also think that's why they didn't continue. Since Vexen was dead, they couldn't. Anyway, it might also have been because they believed Xion was all they needed, and any more replicas might just make it harder for just one of them to get Sora's powers.

After Xion disappeared, I really don't know. Maybe they thought that the entire project was a failure, so they refused to ever try it again. Or maybe because Xemnas finally got fed up and got off his ass to just go and get Sora (no offense to people who like Xemnas!!!).

Repliku and Xion were made around the same time, give or take a month or so, right? So maybe the intention was to have two replicas and Vexen (assuming he lead the replica program) was testing different environments on them. Repliku was placed in Castle Oblivion were he could be monitored constantly and given was given direct orders, while Xion stayed in TWTNW and allowed to travel worlds with the other members, this may have been done to see if the environment surrounding the replica could affect how they shaped.

Vexen was around long enough to see Repliku fail, but could do the same for Xion. Vexen fading could be why there weren't any more replicas.

Now, assuming Xemnas was also part of the program, after Vexen faded Xemnas decided to overlook Xion and when he noticed she was starting to become a 'person' opposed to a replica he decided she needed to be eliminated.

This is just my theory anyway, and I had to type this twice because just as I went to post it the first time, my internet crashed, so I had to retype it all and I know I forgot some stuff.
