The Red War

Cherry nodded then gasped in pain as her back was slammed into the side as they went round the corner, as soon as they escaped these demons she was going to heal herself. She gritted her teeth and hoped that was soon.

 

He was leaving, walking away. Another person who thought of her as too weak, and leaving. There was nothing she could do, words wouldn't come out, nothing she could say to make him stop. All she had to do was tell him the truth, tell him she was one of him, they were the same, but would that work? Wouldn't that just be digging her a bigger hole? Since she hadn't helped him when he was being attacked, she just stood there. If he thought she was a human than maybe she could get away for her cowardness, but if she told him who she was then that would be admitting she was a coward and a weakling. Suddenly she smelt it, it came up quick, did he notice to? She stared at his back, he didn't seem to notice. Was it acting? No, he really didn't notice, it was comming, closer, still no reaction from the man. Suddenly it appeared, another demon, it sprang off of a rooftop and was heading straight for him. Without thinking she transformed and sprang at the spindly creature with huge teeth. Grabbing it's neck with her teeth in mid air she broke it's neck before it even knew what had hit it. She landed gracefully in front of him and dropped the now dead demon on the ground and turned to look at him, just now realizing what she had done.

 

Ryo was running away from a hoard of demons that were after him. Ryo had managed to take care of a good amount of demons that where after him but the amount that was after him was pretty overwhelming. Ryo had been cut many different places. Some of these cuts where scrapes and others were pretty deep wounds. Ryo just kept on running trying to survive

 

"So you're one to..." he muttered, more so talking to himself then he was to her, as he stared at her, not blinking once.
"Are you in a pack?" he asked her in a cold tone. Most wolves would her found her original weakness to have been what was disturbing, but for him, it was whether they were a part of a pack or not. He was a lone wolf and had made it a big point in his life to avoid all packs.

 

Nox began to slow down. Their were no more demons on the street, "any ideas were to go now?"

 

"Somewhere safe would be helpful but no, sorry" Cherry said, happier now they'd slowed down.

 

She changed back to her original form looking defeated. "No." She muttered.

 

Nox stoped the car and took a deep breath, "is everyone alright?"
Nox felt paniced inside it was dawning on him that he could be killed. This wasn't like before were he showed his badge and arrest some drug dealer who couldn't really fight.

 

Cherry nodded, though she was shaking a little "Yeah, I need to heal myself at some point but the only problem is while I'm healing I'm completely vunrable to attack"

 

"Just do it now while we have time," Nox said. He rested his head back and closed his eyes. Calm down your not dead theres nothing around.

 

"Okay, just don't wake me up till it's done" Cherry crossed her legs, threw her head back and began to mutter a string of strange words. Her eyes glazed over and she went into a kind of trance. Her back beneath her top almost instantly began to heal gradually.

 

"Hmmm. Odd. What's a werewolf not doing in a pack? Especially a female of all things?" he asked the girl. It was common knowledge that females had been more valued then males when it came to packs due to other purposes, so such occurances were indeed rare.

 

"Um....it's kind of a long story, but pretty much I.....ah...I...couldn't keep up." Mizuki muttered.

 

Nox waited tired he rested his head on his seat and waited for the girl to heal herself.

 

"I see..." Saint mumbled, being silent for only a few seconds.
"You have a safe place you can hide then? If you aren't that great a fighter then it'd be best for you to take shelter." He said to her, not minding at all that she wasn't in a pack. It was more so a relief.

 

Cherry stayed in the same position, her eyes glazed over and muttering strange words but her back healed itself beneath her shirt until it was virtually gone except from the dried blood on her clothes.

 

Nox thought he saw something move in the distance. He turned the key. The engin roared to life. Nox wish it had been quieter, he worried it would give their postion away.

 

"Um... yeah...I have an apartment, but it's on the 4th floor so I don't think that would be very safe." Mizuki replied.

 

Cherry's head moved up and her eyes refocused, she smiled as she felt much better but then frowned as she realised the cars engine was on, "What's going on?"

 

"Maybe it's nothing," Nox muttered to himself. He observed the streets. Nothing. He looked up the buildings. Nothing. He turned his head back to look behind them. Nothing.
