The Reaper's Game

Rina blinked suddenly and realized that Ari hadn't been there. She had forgotten about him since she had been caught up in the battle. Rina had... enjoyed fighting those noise...It was kinda... Fun... In a way.. Maybe because she was so used to being a loner that she was hadn't realized he was gone. Damn it seemed she was really going to have to get used to having a partner. Guess it was time to stop being her antisocial self... although it would be much easier if she could fringing talk! She sighed and nodded. she took out the note book and wrote "I'm OK. That was weird... We each didn't see each other.."

 

Tracy didn't understand. He didn't understand why he was lying on the ground in a crowded street, and he didn't understand why no one stopped to help him up. As he pulled himself to his feet, he noticed that he was holding something. Surprised, Tracy opened his fist.


What was this pin doing in his hand? How did he get this pin? Everything was so confusing.
Just then Tracy got a text message. It startled him so badly that he jumped to his feet. He never got texts, ever.
Round one:
The round will end at 104.
You have twenty four hours.
Fail and be eliminated.

Tracy had barely finished reading the message when he felt a sudden burning pain in his hand.
"Ouch." He said. A timer had appeared on his hand, counting down from twenty four hours.
"What the junk?" Tracy said. "A timer? Whats the timer for?"
But Tracy didn't have much time to think. Frog like creatures were beginning to appear. Then the frogs began to attack him. Tracy couldn't fight them. These frogs were a lot tougher then they looked. The only choice Tracy had was to run. He had to get away from these monsters before he was killed. He started running.

 

"Yeah well, we don't exactly get to pick our names, ya know?"
Taka looked up at his phone to check the message, and sure enough it was identical to the one she had gotten.
"Hey, I think we should listen to the text. I mean, after what I'VE seen, I don't wanna be around here when those things get back. Plus elimination doesn't exactly sound fun."
She turned toward ten-four and clutched her flame pin in her hand.
I got lucky that one time... I don't know how I managed to stop those things or why this pin saved me, but I know it probably won't happen again.
As she looked at her other pins in her pocket, she noticed that most of them were from her normal brand, Mus Rattus. She didn't LOVE their stuff, but it was better than the skanky stuff the other stores sold.

Confused.-Thats all that could be used to describe how he felt waking up in an alley.Of course he didn't expect anyone to help him up.
You couldn't exactly find the most friendly people in the world in the middle of and alley;Still,there were at least some people near him,they didn't even look in his direction or make jokes.Fine then he thought.He pulled himself off the floor.
Whats this?He felt something in his palm.Not too eager to figure out what it was he stuffed it in his pocket.
He had just exited the alley when he revived a message on his phone. (?)

"Round 1:
The round will end at 104.
You have 24 hours.
Fail and be eliminated."

"What is this?" He wondered what the truth behind this was,He decided to take this seriously,If his life was on the line
-Or whatever would be eliminated,he sure didn't wanna be the first one."Maybe..." Dakota caught on fast.
He reached for his pocket and pulled out then pin,Holding it in his hand.

-Then,
a burning sensation. "Oww!" Dakota cursed (loopholes rule)
He looked at his hand.A timer?He could keep time fairly well,He didn't need a burn mark into his hand.
Hmm... He thought.He headed towards the designated location.He saw "Things" emerging from the ground.He ran for it,to his destination. ​

Tracy ran toward 104. He still barely knew what all this was about, but the text said something about being eliminated, and he didn't like the sound of that. Rounding a corner, he was faced with a bunch of frog creatures again. "Agh!" he yelled. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Then he saw a boy standing there, and the monsters looked like they were attacking him, too. Whatever this wierd stuff is, he thought. It looks like he's a part of this, too. "Hey," he yelled, running towards the boy. "Make a pact with me! I've heard of this game before!" He had heard about the game when he was alive, but he had never really paid any attention to it. Who knew how real it really was? The Reaper's attack you, trying to erase you before you can win. "If we don't make a pact, we're Reaper chow!"

OOC: Sorry I took so long to post, I've been really busy all day, and my sister is hogging the computer. XP

 

The man in red smiled as the kids took out the Noise. "Objective met," he said, clearing the wall. From here, the only thing keeping the Players from their destination was the crowds of people, and they were no threat at all. Besides, only one player needs to complete the mission, and they're all safe. The timer might as well go off now. Day one was always the easiest.​

 

Hmm?Dakota turned to the boy,He seemed to be the only one that could hear him;still,What was he talking about?Uhh... He opened his mouth but nothing came out.The frogu things got closer,Dakota tried to punch one of them,Nothing.He opened his mouth hoping he could speak ,Fear aralzed his voice.I-I form a pact with you!He covered his face and body expecting some giant spark or something,nothing.Outta my way ! He yelled at the noise,Running to the boy."Since you know so much,Here,I don't know how to use It,So." He handed him his pin.He then stood behind him quietly.​

He had a pin too? Ahh, yes. Now he remembered. in order to use pins, you had to use something called "Psychs." It was like you had to focus your energy through the pin and send the attack to the Noise. He took the pin the boy had given him and used it to destroy the frog things. In no time at all, they were gone. He turned back to the strange boy and smiled, handing him the pin. "Thanks," he said. "I would have been toast if you hadn't come along." He looked around, the Noise seemed to stop attacking him now that he had formed a pact. "Name's Tracy," he said. "I guess we're partners now. Let's get over to 104. What's your name?"

Takumi just nodded at her answers before begining to walk beside her until he stopped to notice some strange marking devour some of the people which in itself, was just odd before froglike creatres with what seemed to be marking engraved upon them, now things were starting to crazy.

"This is new to me." He noted to himself before noticing their attention was focused upon the two of them, it seemed to like they had the intent of doing something to them but what, he didn't want to find out before ran fowards, his jacket flying up in the air with his trides and then grabbed onto a guardrail, leaping over it and came face to face with a few of them.

"Okay now what? I'm sure kicking these things won't do me any favours." He thought to himself before looking at the Pin he held, "If that black pin can make me hear people's thoughts....then maybe this branded pin..." he trailed off before grasping it tightly in his hand as energy have begun to flow and his swing his arm and what seemed to happen is he sliced one of the frogs in half somehow. "A slashing attack?" he thought to himself again, if this was what one Pin could do, what about the others he held within his pocket?

"Taka!" He thought suddenly, remembering he vaulted over the guardrail nearby and didn't see her follow but when he went to look, she wasn't there, now that was strange but he felt she was close-by somewhere.

 

Taka saw her new partner run off and suddenly, she was swept into a fight with those weird symbols. Thing is, they manifested themselves into actual creatures now, frogs.

"Oh man..."
She worried about her partner. She couldn't see him now, and everyone who was in the scramble seemed to disappear as well. She was mad. She may not have cared about the other people, but that didn't mean that these things could go around and kill them all.
Man, i'm toast... WAIT! The pins!
She took out one of her pins and held it out towards the frogs.

As soon as she held it out, they all seemed to freeze. She looked at her pin and smiled. She took out another pin and put the volume on her music to max.

"Well, if you guys won't make your move, then I will!"
Suddenly, the frogs were all blown back and they almost seemed to dissolve. She saw her partner again and she was happy.
Weird... she thought. It never really felt like we were apart back there.
She knew it was strange, but she let that thought go and remembered what they SHOULD be doing.
"Hey, we really should be getting to ten-four.

 

Takumi nodded at Taka and looked at which direction they should be going and looked at her. "Yeah, if anything, we are probably not the only ones here." He suggested and he staretd to walk abeitly slowly so Taka could match her pace with his own, if he wanted to, he could of run for the 104 Building but decided against it, saving energy for fighting these frogs would be a ideal move in itself until he somehow walked into something and stepped back to gather his bearing, there seemed to be some kind of invisible wall blocking the way in, what was this all about?

 

OOC: Actually, the wall was cleared earlier by some other Players. Also, now that you two have formed a pact, the Noise will stop attacking you unprovoked. It should be an easy walk to 104.

 

Tracy ran toward 104. His partner was right behind him and they were going pretty fast, but the timer was ticking and the twenty four hours were nearly up. The entrance to 104 appeared and Tracy could see a couple of kids standing by the entrance. The kids all looked scared, and they all looked like they were in a hurry too. Sprinting passed them Tracy launched into 104. "YES!" He shouted. "We made it on time." Tracy looked down to check the timer and discovered that it wasn't on his hand anymore. It seemed that, as soon as you completed your mission, the timer disappeared. Tracy turned to his partner. "Hey, I just realized that I don't know your name. I can't go on calling you 'kid' if we're gonna be partners."

Taka woke up back in the Scramble. Her partner lay beside her.
Hey... how'd we get back in the middle of the Scramble? And how did we fall asleep?
As she wondered, she realized that she'd never asked her partner's name. She felt stupid. Just as she started to let that feeling sink in, another text came in.
"Oh great, I wonder if today will be any better", she said sarcastically.

She felt the burning pain in her hand again, and somehow, she knew that this would be a bit harder than yesterday. She waited for her partner to wake up. There was no point in going at this alone.

 

Takumi awoke to the pain in hsi hand and sat up, shaking his head to get awake, wait when he did fall aslepp, all he remembered he and Taka got to 104 and after that, nothing else as he noticed his partner beside him and the surroudnings as he came to realize something, did they... sleep together?

"What happened?" He asked first, sterring the thought he had away and looked at Taka.

 

There were walls set up all over the place today.
Center Street was completely blocked.
The Statue of Hachiko was completely blocked.
Pork city was, like always, completely blocked.
The Path from Cadoi City to Molco was completely blocked.
Cat Street was completely blocked.
As for the rest of the place, there was a breakable wall between the Scramble and 104, and another breakable wall between A-East and Dogenzaka. The man in black stood by the entrance to 104,
and the man in red stood by the entrance to Dogenzaka.​

Rina woke up with a startle. She was back in the Scamble... It was wonder of how she had gotten back here... She looked next to her and saw her partner, Ari. Her phone started to ring and it was another text message.
"Round 2:
Defeat the guardian of Dogenzaka.
You have 24 hours.
Fail and be eliminated."
She felt a burning in her hand and the timer appeared again. Damn... time to start a new adventure.

 

Ariya woke up in the middle of the scramble... "Wait, what?" he thought. "Weren't we just standing near 104? I mean, it's just a few meters... BUT HOW DID I MOVE!?" While drifting through his thoughts he felt something in his pocket "A message, again?" It seemed to be similar to the one he got yesterday...

"Huh... hey Rina, you got the same thing too?" She nodded in agreement. "Yesterday was such a let-down. I hope today's a REAL ADVENTURE!" He exclaimed, pushing his partner in a playful manner. "Let's gooo!" He yelled, with the same enthusiasm he had the day before. However, they couldn't walk for long, since there was a guy with a black hoodie... and an impenetrable wall.
