Mya pulled out her gunblade. Do you have any expertise on the uses of a gunblade?

 

Dante shook his head. "Not exactly, but i could combine the uses of a sword and a gun to see if it works."

 

Mya smiled. I really shouldn't ask you to do this. You're working hard just for my safety.

 

Dante sighed. "This is only because you are the only one like me that I have seen in a long time. I've seen many like us killed because of our difference. I don't want to see you get hurt or killed." He looked down.

 

Mya sighed. I understand. Just please don't overdo yourself. I don't like it when people get hurt.

 

Dante gave Mya a hug. "Don't worry about me. I've held my own up until now, right?"

 

Mya smiled and hugged him back. I really envy you. You're so strong and hardwilling. I'm just a coward and a weakling.

 

Helisi scratched her head as she turned her attention towards the door. She didn't want to take their food even if she was hungry. She hadn't eaten for quite a while and she was afraid she'd probably eat everything that was in their kitchen. Noticing Kjerstie was getting up, Helisi slightly tilted her head and took a step closer. "Are you feeling better?"

 

Dante frowned. "You aren't weak, you just prooved that. And you aren't a coward. You didn't look very scared before I showed up. You looked bored."

 

She nodded her head. "A bit... I think I'll be okay now." Kjerstie looked up at Helisi and grinned. "Thanks for helping, by the way. Usually people won't help, because they're afraid the sickness might spread to them as well."

BIC: Helisi nodded in response. "You're welcome. As I said before, I've helped many other people with the illness so I don't really mind. I actually thought you simply had a cold at first. Well, that's what I was hoping, anyway." She chuckled a little as she shrugged her shoulders. She pressed her lips together, thinking for a moment before speaking again. "Has your brother ever harmed anyone that had the illness?"

 

She looked down. I wasn't bored, I was sad. Sad for those who died. Sad for those who can't be accepted. Sad for the regular people who can't understand us.

 

Dante picked her chin up. "I know how you feel. We'll Get through this. We just gotta stick together." He smiled at her.

 

She smiled back at him. Yea we will. All we need is courage.

 

Dante stared into her eyes, speachless. He went deep into thought. "Yeah... we might need some more people to stick around with. Having only eachothers back will only work for so long."

 

Kjerstie thought for a moment, trying to recall if her brother ever did or not. He didn't hurt her... and he was always kind enough to the people with the illness. "No... he's only been on the battlefield for a few months, and he told me he hasn't seen any of them. It seems like they're all hiding..." Kjerstie looked over to the piece of paper that was laying on the nightstand next to her bed, pondering what her brother's recent letter said. "He said... it feels wrong. But he has no other way to get us the money that we need."

 

She nodded nervously. Y-yea. We're gonna need to rally some people. She turned away quickly and buried her face in her hands. Omygosh I think he likes me! What should I do?

 

Dante tipped his head in confusion. "Are you alright?"

 

Mya quickly turned her head and shook it quickly. N-no nothings wrong. I'm fine. She laughed nervously.

 

Dante put his hand on Mya's shoulder. "Calm down. Take a deep breath. You seem nervous."
