what is a roster? and what is a helper?

 

Roster is the pokemon you use.
Helper, I assume is the pokemon you use until you have a decent amount of pokemon of your type.
Also, no, you have to start all over.

 

Oh, I have started my Rock trip in Pokemon Emerald.

By the way, for everyone doing Dragon type, I wouldn't recommend it with only one duplicate to take on Crystal. You will only be able to have 4 Pokemon Total. Two Dragonites and Two Kingdras (You can't get two kingras without cheating)

 

I made it to Sandgem Town. Roster's still a Chimchar.

 

my team is a monferno, a shinx, a geodude, a bidof, a starly and a zubat, all are the only pokemon i have caught so far, and will be my team untill i get my hands on sweet dragons, i am at route 204 and i have only the coal badge.

I beat Steven. Took two or 3 tries but I did it with all of my Pokemon being around level 50.

By the by, I'm real rusty at playing this so yeah.

 

Well I used the traditional method of doing it via gameboy(went through a pair of batteries and nearly killed the secons pair.XD) so a snapshot would be...highly unlikely.XD

That's an impossible challenge. The only rock types you can get before the 2nd gym are Geodude and Nosepass. You'll never make it out of that gym alive.

 

I just took a look at the dex for pear, and...um....yeah, there is only six bugs for here so I'm gonna go ahead put up my roster lol.
Mothim, Wormadon, Vesqueen, Beautifly, Dustox, Kriciktune.

 

That can be only my only team. Those are the only bugs throughout the game before beating elite four.
