oh, so you're the one keeping me from using that type.....
Oh yeah, do you count Black and White after you beat N, or after you beat Alder the first time? And I can't give you any pictures when I beat it, there's just no way for me to take any with my DS

By end, I mean [Bicycle riding into the sunset/Credits roll] End.
After that you can choose another type after a waiting period of 3 days.

Also yes, I seem to be putting off going to fight Lugia.
Trying to complete it so it can be open again.

Umm, there's a Bicycle riding scene at the end of Emerald and Platinum, but Black and White just have the credits role and slowly zooming out of the pokemon that's the same color as your game, Zekrom/Black and Reshiram/White

Just beat Pokemon White a few hours ago. Although since I have to wait 3 days, it gives me time to train this team and see how well I do with all fire against an Elite Four, Champion, and Cynthia

ALRIGHT! It's time for me to attempt my third type! I have chosen the Grass type and Pokemon Platinum. This will be a little bit of a challenge, but I should be able to do it. I will be playing it the "Old-fashioned" way with an actual Nintendo DS. Luckily, I have a special device so I can start a new game, but not lose my old profile. Here are my stats!

    Name: Leon
    Nickname: The Natural Power
    Version: Pokemon Platinum
    Starter: Turtwig

    Let the battle BEGIN!

Will hopefully beat the game either tomorrow or sometime over the weekend. I just have to get through the Elite 4 with all my Normal Types.

My god Marshall is going to freaking murder me :/

well, as long as your pokemon are high enough, and you have 6, you should be fine. I think you're biggest concern might be Shauntal

I do have 6, and considering I only raised 4 up until Victory Road, my Pokemon are all over level 50.
But he could still probably kick my @ss pretty easily if he somehow manages to out speed me.

I'm honestly not that worried about Shauntal. I have some dark moves I can use to my advantage, and she's limited to few moves being able to affect me.

You might want to still be careful of that Chandelure. I didn't think it was much, but after using one myself, that things Sp. Atk is ridiculously high. Getting hit by a fire move from it is going to hurt you big time

I raised one myself on my first play through of White, an I agree with you, but I should still be okay assuming I play my cards right.

Sorry, but when I noticed that grass was FINALLY open, i needed to take it. I've always started out with a grass type starter during my first playthrough of any game. Especially because Torterra is one of my top 10 favorite pokemon, in the top 5 to be more exact.

Also, the Psychic type is VERY powerful in the first gen games (Red, Blue/Green, Yellow) almost nothing can stop it. It's also very formidable in the gen 2 games (Gold, Silver, Crystal).

except the first and second generation games are the only ones I don't own. I sold my SoulSilver because even though it was good, it just wasn't all that great to play over and over like the others. I just like the later games because they have a huge part with the Organizations. Soul Silver is a letdown fighting Team Rocket. And also the way they designed how you rematched gym leaders, I hated that. And I haven't owned a firered/leaf green in years. Those games both got lost on me somehow, and I never really felt like getting one again

    Updated.
I made it through Whirl Islands and Victory Road.
I just need to beat the Elite for and Champion now.
Going to be harder without a Psychic type. Can't get the Psychic TM until I head to Kanto. -_-
Could always train a Golduck I suppose...
