This might be old news but here's the petition to stop Zac Efron from playing

Light/ Kira in the American adaptation of Death Note

He looks like him..so what's the matter.He's just an actor.It could be anyone.
I happen to like Zac EFRON not Effron.
And that petition is not going to get you anywhere.
If you want my advice, enjoy the storyline..Not what's who's in it.

 

I'm not a fan of Zac, in fact I hate HSM, etc. but if I were him I'd be quite offended by this. It's ridiculous, you're only embarrasing yourselves.

 

No Zac. Anyone but Zac. Why don't they just put in Jessie McCarthy as Near while there at it?

 

Doesn't matter to me. I think it's probably going to suck no matter who's in it.

 

Its kind of like when Will Smith switched from doing comedy to doing action/drama movies. Or when Jim Cary did The #23. They suck at those type of movies! There are some movies that they should leave alone.

 

I think Zac would do pretty good.

 

I honestly didn't see the problem with Will Smith doing I, Robot and I Am Legend. I think he did an excellent job. But, hey, it's your personal opinion.

In my honest opinion, I think Zac looks like him, and considering I've never watched Death Note in my life, I don't know how he'd play as Light. But he actually pulled off quite a few rolls. He was in CSI and in some medical show, it might've been ER or something like that, but he played a good role, and I actually cried watching his character get shot.

I'm just trying to say that he could pull it off if he really tried. But that's just me. A lot of people think that because he did all three High School Musicals that he can't do anything else except for Disney stuff. You just have to give him a chance.

 

He would have to do one hell of an acting job to pull this off.

Exactly. Zac's quite a good actor. If he wasn't in HSM, this petition obviously would not exist.

 

You do realise that Zac Effton cannot destroy us with a fictional book that kills people through TV. Besides he looks alot like Light so he would probibly be the best look a like for the job but his voice and crumpet face type smile might be what would be harmful to people. I'd sign it if it was a joke but since it's not in the spamzone (unless someone feels it's in the wrong place and moves it *shrugs* ) I cannot sign it.
