No, I don't think you can. Your Minecraft is linked with your profile on Minecraft.net, and you need to log in there to change your skin. So I'd imagine it would go back to default whilst offline, like KH2man said.

The skin is just a PNG image, they look something like this;

its an image, on single player,you can change it your self open MC, Texture packs, Open TP folder, Close MC, go back one folder to the ".Minecraft" folder, Bin, right click "Minecraft" Open with winrar or winzip, open the folder named "mob", rename your Skin image file to "Char" (the file must be a .png image), put it in the mob folder, open Minecraft and "Periodo-ni"!

however to change it on a multiplayer you must change it on your account on Minecraft.net.

 

Oh, I never realised you could do it that way. I guess that's pretty cool. I always use Minecraft.net to change my skin, since it's the easiest way to go about it. But the way you've told us about would end up being quite useful if it was necessary to use.

I'm in the same boat here, actually. Though I haven't used any other texture packs apart from the default one.

Oh well, have you searched around on youtube for "Top 10 Texture Packs" or some such? You can find some pretty nice ones on there.

 

i used the soul eater Pack for a while, but now im sick of it, ill check out MC wikia, they have some cool ones!

Let's see. Now I can vent my seething rage.

Oh my God. Since then, I've been trying to maneuver my way back to my main base that is like a whole map away, and it's blasphemy. I respawned back at a smaller base I made along the way.

If you do that all the the people w/ default skins on Multi Player, have your skin, its cool, however, It is a way to do it since its a resort for when you have no interenet conection, and my only way, since i have no premium account, i will get one in july when i have money however, unlike you all i have no rich parents or buckets of money.

You do know you get a premium account when you buy the game, right?
Not to be rude or anything but, the game itself isn't THAT expensive, although it probably depends on the currency you use.
In GBP it really isn't that dear, but I suppose in dollars it's about 34$?

 

Yes i do, i did not buy the game, and 20 £ is 67 R$ and that is a lot here, damm economy, but yes that is the value in dollars.

On my birthday i will get money and then buy it.
