Actually, that does'nt even show many classic cartoons anymore...
I mean, they air Baby Looney Tunes, but not classic Looney Tunes!?!!? The former is garbage by any standards. Tom & Jerry are the only cartoons airing on that channel that are actually "classic", IIRC.

So it also seems that their "Boomerang" seems to also lose it's appeal as classic original toons.

I think Cartoon Network itself is trying to aim the new generation, which is this relation to this made-up slogan of mine:

"Old things are old and are not to be seen ever. New? now that's nice"

    something like that

but personally, I think it's a mistake if that really was the case.

Probably the last 'good' show that Cartoon Network had that left was JLU. The only other decent one they have these days that I have very little complaint over is Ben 10.

Boomerang has more shows worth watching, in my opinion.

George of the Jungle is on Disney Channel hun - still gay though

Yes they should make up new ideas, I mean what ver happened to the shows we used to watch as kids.. like Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, KND and others. Sure there still on but I think theyre trying to push them back a bit. I sweat CN will be taken off TV soon

IMO, Nickelodeon is much better. Their image really hasn't changed over the past years, which is a good thing. They give their cartoonists a bit more leeway than other networks would (Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and SpongeBob are all great, but I don't like them in the same sense I do of the classic stuff).
They were also the only network you could see Bosko, Bugs Bunny, and Speedy Gonzales in the same half-hour, even if it was for a few years.
And they cared about the classic cartoon WB shorts. They were the ONLY network to play black-and-white cartoons along side color ones.
Nickelodeon also played an unannounced marathon of Looney Tunes when they learned that their contract was up in late 1999. That's a network that cares.

Gawd, I miss everything good about CN.

    Especially Samurai Jack and KND.
I grew up with KND. It was my last obsession before I became and anime nerd<3 and now I hear they're ending the series?! Not fair, man.

The only things I can stand to watch anymore are Chowder and Billy and Mandy =/ Anything else there just kinda annoys me with how much fail its made of.

Oh and KKR, I lost all respect for Nick when they took off Invader Zim. Thats's the worst thing any network can do =/

Kappa Mikey, too. Once again, epic show.

    Sorry for butting in on the conversation... ^_^;

...But I totally agree with you. All the awesome shows were discontinued, but they decided to make lamer ones? I don't get it. George of the Jungle looks like a really stupid show.

I found the Samurai Jack 1st season on DVD at my library, and got it right away. Total stroke of luck. ^_^

One of the new shows I like. And that is Chowder. I happen to think it's very funny.

I was VERY sad to hear that they were ending KND. I made a character for that show. I even fancied myself being in the KND. I watched the last episode (the hour long one), and after it was over, I almost cried. T_T At least there'll be DVDs, right?

MadiYasha, I miss Invader Zim too. They do have reruns on Nicktoons Network sometimes, though.

I hate the fact that they took DBZ off the air for some time, and now I like watch it once a week :/

I also miss the Powerpuff girls ;~; I grew up on them, Looney Toons, and DBZ

I can actually remember about 6 years ago i was at my old house swinging around my closet watching powerpuff girls marathon lol

Ohmygawd I know... I felt like my childhood was over when KND ended D=
As a kid my life revolved around that show. It was to me then what Death Note is to me now. Me and my friends had numbers and everything o_O
I cried too. Numbuh 1 sorta pissed me off though D< He really should've just stayed.
And the end was LOL. With the live action adult KND xDD

Anyways, KND is a perfect example of one of the very good shows that didn't deserve to end. On top of that we're getting tons of crappy shows to take over. The only good thing left is Chowder =/
They even ruined transformers! The animated series is crap!
