The Not-so Original Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network seriously needs to be more original, that fact they are now remaking Transformers and they are now making George or the Jungle and they are taking ALOT of shows from 4kids, they are now getting Johnney Test on there but every single cartoon from 4kids never lasted

 

Cartoon Network is terrible, they just copy whatever the other channels are doing, like those 'live action' shows and such. The cartoons went downhill from what I remember watching there, and they do rip alot of shows from other channels as well. Nothing there is original anymore.

I personally think it's more of the state of animation in the western market in general, it's either for kids or a comedy, which both don't require huge budgets for animation nor much care is needed. Unlike Japan where animation is taken as seriously as live action. But it's not changing here because it's getting hits. So until people take it more seriously and want more originality it isn't going to change.

 

It's very sad, but true.

this is what has happened to movies, tv, and music.
they all copy stuff from older ideas!!
ex for movies- whenever you see a good movie i can bet you that movie was either about a old cartoon, or a book, that some director had to remake in a movie!!!!

Show- lilo and stich the series, the emporers new school(which has overstayed its welcome with me!!!).

I don't think CN is as bad as some other channels. I mean...I really do not like the artwork for so many cartoons out now. It's just awful. There are a couple cartoons showing up with decent artwork but then I have to see things like Sponge Bob. I'm also kind of sick of Pokemon and some other stuff. Cartoon Network always did take cartoons from other places to put on there and revive old stuff. It's been the way the network ran since well, they tried to grab up old shows to let people still be able to see them. I do think they could use some new things though, as others say. I just can't say though they are yet as bad as Disney or Nickelodeon, which other than 1 or 2 shows, I really don't like.

Sad, but true, Cartoon Network isn't seeing it's best days right now. They used to be awesome with shows like Samurai Jack and Megas XLR, but now it's just crap. The **** definetly hit the fan for them.

 

OMG i loved that show!!!! Jack was a hot beastly thing :D i liked turning the lights off on the show, because they always had awesome flash (surprised i never had a seizure!)

 

Yeah, those were some good times. The movie was awesome. I've been keeping my eye open for the DVD since Cartoon Network stopped playing the show.

Which reminds me, why did they get rid of the awesome shows, but still keep the lamer shows?

I think Cartoon Network needs to work it out. It used to be nice with all the original shows, but having series like Transformers...it killed the whole franchise.

Samurai Jack was cool. Hopefully they will grab up some other newer things and start moving on again. I don't really watch CN much though except for Adult Swim anymore. I guess I've lost touch with it. Instead of George of the Jungle they should get rights to Freakazoid or Animaniacs, since they aren't used anymore. That would be more amusing to me.

 

Its sad, you got to wake up so early to catch these shows, like Cow and Chicken and Tom and Jerry
