Actually, iwantedtoexplode is almost never in the Code Vault, oddly enough. He's always on the homepage.

 

Here's the problem as I see it. The joke was over after that first line. That's fine. It made sense, hell, I even smiled at it. The issue I have with it is exactly what you've been talking about: the context. Don't get me wrong, I don't get butthurt about jokes; I do find rape jokes funny. Would I say one to someone if I knew it would be a trigger, though? No. However, the context of your statement about them not being funny -the one that Hatok dug up- was specifically about them not being funny and amounting to making fun of "a horrible, traumatic experience that will ruin a person forever." And yet, you just casually threw a joke out there using rape as part of it. Regardless of whether or not it's a punchline, you used rape because you found it to be the most comical way to beef up the joke. You could have, as someone else said, used any other crime (stealing a car), but it wouldn't have the punch that rape would have. "I think it could be imposing but I don't know... But I did call off those burglary charges in exchange.." Whereas rape hyperbolizes the situation (dropping rape charges over a forum avatar), so either you went with it specifically for that reason -then you're a hypocrite- or you could have used any other crime, but didn't because of carelessness -then you're not very adamant in that principle as your quote led others to believe. Instead of owning up to it or even just ignoring it, you decided to turn it around on everyone else because you don't care...yet you're sitting there in your parents' basement wasting the effort to explain why everyone else is wrong.
The real victim here is comedy.

Code vault history:

iwantedtoexplode was put on the staff team as more of a "manager" than a "coder" especially due to the fact that he actually doesn't know how to hack at all. Back when the code vault was super active there was a lot that needed to be edited/deleted in terms of people's post and the OP of each "kh code thread". Each Kingdom Hearts game is given one thread where all the codes/discussion go. The OP of those threads hold all of the codes for their respective games. So it needs to be edited often and organized in a way that draws people in, because usually if you are going to use these codes you check back rather often so it needs to be neat and organized.

However since activity has been very bad lately, he more or less hasn't had a job to do in the first place. However I do him on a fair bit compared to the old coders who were demoted. He is a really nice guy do, so he is a great person to have when it comes to social interaction within the section, but there is none, so yeah.

 

I'm going with someone that punches people that are hugging, because it's funnier that way.

I respect this critique and IT'S INSULTING. It's telling me I'm a blame thrower (I took fault for a lot of things dude, I was making fun of their wordings because it's funny), it's telling me I waste my life, whatever, we read it. It's way passed blunt and stepping into insulting. Yet, I can't argue with you. You're completely right- it was carelessness and bad wording. I took ownership of that already. I don't think I'm a hypocrite because sometimes people slip, get over it. I don't know what the hell I said in that thread. You shouldn't joke about rape- it's bad, it can trigger someone you aren't expecting it to and then you're suddenly the bad guy for putting them back in that place. Is it a word you can use still? Yes. I tried to use the word, I worded it as a rape joke and frigged up the punch line AND THEN I RAPED COMEDY. Okay? I thought I already took ownership of this BUT I'LL DO IT 'GAIN. I GOOFED.

I won't take ownership of passing blame though- because I didn't. I didn't say they made me tell it, or anything like that, I said the way they thought of me and why they had to critique me lately was funny. Because it is.
