The Night Shift

Abbie's eyes sparkled when the white gleamed off her eyes. Her body was still locked up, and she watched him attack. She could only make a whimpering sound in the back of her throat. Her body wouldn't listen to the commands and run.

 

Kain stepped infront of the blast before it reach Abbie taking the whole thing. He roared in agony as it scorched his torso.

Marcus leapt across the roofs using his Berserk power to make himself catch up with Jacob, "Good evening", He mocked laughing sadistically. He was a vampire too but he enjoyed killing his own kind too much.

Khaos lowered his arm and looked at Kain as his smile disappeared and his eyes became colder, "How did you not turn to dust?", he asked keeping his sword at his side.

"I'm different than last time", Kain muttered from his heavy breathing.

 

She shook slightly, and watched Kain... She twitched and the crates behind her smashed into walls. She held her hand up to Kain, barely touching his chest.
"You... okay?" she whispered out... her arms finally listened to her.

 

Kain pushed Abbie's hand aside, "I told you to leave", he said sounding angry, it was his source of strength. His hand still had the Fury lit and he swiftly turned, ran and punched Khaos in the chest surprisingly knocking him into a stack of crates a few feet behind him. "I guess I don't know my own strength", he punned as he quickly grabbed Abbie's arm and dragged her with him as he took the chance to escape.

 

Jacob was practicly running like a scared dog"come on fighting is so over rated i mean we could have some blood instead of doing such useless things"he said to him

 

She watched him punch the Paladin, and shivered, her eyes still wide, never blinking. Her feet wouldn't listen to her, and when he started pulling on her, her feet wouldn't move at all. Her feet were starting to drag.

 

Marcus kept up with Jacob, "I like my job, I also have a bit of a cannabalistic side", he said as he reached for his sword ready to cleave off an arm.

kain using his supierior strength easily dragged Abbie back to the sanctuary. He needed to remain here for sometime to heal as well as avoid the paladins.

 

She moved her feet a few times, trying to walk, but she felt jerked instead of dragged. She kept dragging her feet, panting trying to keep up.

Jacob saw him reach for his sword then he jumped down to a group of people and used his charm ability on a man that had a gient sword"slice him into bits and pieces"he commanded and the man started swinging his sword at his attacker while Jacob ran further away.

 

She pushed herself away from Kain, standing on her knees, taking a deep breath.
"Are you.. okay?" she asked.

 

"I just need to catch my breath", Kain lied still out of breath, he was seriously injured but he wouldn't die.

Marcus drew his sword and cut charmed man down, he was weak in comparison to Marcus. Seeing how Marcus is considered an older vampire his strength was greater than normal, he was after all a captain 200 years ago.

 

Jacob looked back to see his puppet cut down easily"useless humens"he sighed while he ran for his life

 

Marcus prepared to use his power, then thought he could let him get away thinking of the bigger prize. He stopped and used his berserk power to dash off into the crowds of people.

 

Jacob went into an alley then slumped against a wall"that was a close one" he said to himself

 

Abbie shook her head, and frowned. She looked at the wound on his chest.
"Like hell, you do. You need to fully rest, that wound is too serious," she said, worried. It was her fault anyways for getting him hurt... She felt guilty.

 

Kain looked at Abbie, "This, is, nothing", He said slowly. He knew what he must do to recover, "Stay here i'm going to recover", he said heading back onto the streets near the hideout to feed on human. Blood recovered injuries quicker.

Khaos got up and looked at where his enemy was. He then looked at the rooftops, "Marcus", He said as he headed towards where Marcus was.

Marcus paniced when he saw Khaos coming, he had let the vampire get away for tactical reasons but Khaos wouldn't care.

 

She frowned, her vision fading in and out again. She closed her eyes and opened them again, seeing the sonar.
"Crap," she said, not able to see again.

 

Kain took his fill of blood, it closed the wounds but left the injury. He need a new garb now seeing how his coat was destroyed. He went to the tailor that would make clothes for vampires, Kain was already fitted here and had multiple suits kept in storage. He got his nobleman suit and headed back to the sanctuary in it.

 

Abbie followed him, watching her vision still fade in and out.
"I'm sorry," she apologized.
