The Night Shift

The crate shattered on his armour, "Miss, your going to have to try harder", he mocked giving a cold stare.

Kain backed up, "I can't kill him now, I discovered that the hard way", he said trying to get them out of there.

 

She looked back at him.
"I wasn't even trying...It was a reflex," she said, frightened... She stood next to Kain and looked up at him, her eyes full of sadness.
"Is he going to kill us?" she asked.

 

"He can try. Now you escape and find more vampires and i'll distract him long enough for that to be possible", Kain plotted and got into a fighting stance extending his claws as a red light appeared on his right hand. It was his fury ability that every vampire has.

 

"There is no one around.... I've been around the city for a long time, you're the only one I've ever been able to sense another one" she said, pulling out her blades, using her telekinesis to hold them out at the Paladin.
"I'm not about to abandon you..." she said...

 

"alright have a good sleep" Jacob said waving goodbye to her with a smile then he went into an abandoned build and laid on a bed"i just wonder if this guy named kain is realy the vampire who created the first night shift"he said wondering.

 

"Fool, I won't be killed here but if you stay you will", Kain said keeping his eyes on the stationary and calm looking Paladin.

 

Lyra stood up, making her way around the city in the dark. She stared up at the sky, sighing, before continuing on her walk.

 

"How can you be so sure of that? I'm staying..." she said. She was always stubborn when it came to helping others that didn't want help.

 

"Let the girl stay, It'll make my job easier", Khaos said stepping forward slowly reaching for his broadsword.

Kain stepped back, his body was reacting to fear although his mind rejected it. "Do you even know who this is girl?", Kain asked.

 

She shook her head, bracing herself, breathing deep. The blood still filled through her head and she shuddered.
"No... i don't...." she admitted.

 

"He's the first Paladin, the king of this citadel and the one who slew me", Kain explained keeping his eyes on the ever approaching enemy.

 

Jacob was walking the alleys and he havnt had anything to drink yet then he saw a girl"she looks breathtaking and delicuous"he said to himself with an evil smile."Hey can somebody help me"he said getting the girls attention then she came to the alley he was at"whats wrong"she asked Jacob. His eyes glowed gold while he was using charm"nothing my dear i just need somebody to be close to me"he said commanding her to stand infront of him"now relax"he said when he huged her then he sank his fangs into her neck and started to drink the sweet red blood.

 

She hesitated, and looked back at him, a sweatdrop rolled down the side of her face, and she took a step back. Everything behind her lifted off the ground.

 

"Your dark gifts won't save you", Khaos said drawing his sword as a light burst from its blade as it was pulled from its scabbard. His face was depicted with a vicious smile.

Kain was ready to attack and then flee taking the girl with him but he knew that sword was too dangerous, it was what beat him before.

 

Kevin walked down the alley while he wiped the blood from his mouth"that was refreshing"he said to himself with a smile then he heard a noise and he jumped on top a building looking down at a paladin and two vampires"this should be interesting"he said to himself while he watched them.

 

Abbie looked at the sword. It looked and sensed strong. She was frozen. All her joints locked it. Her powers went out of control. Windows broke on the buildings and she hesitated. She wouldn't blink.

 

Kain was trying not to be distracted by the telekinetic force as well as not let his eyes slip from his opponent knowing that the moment they do he'll attack.

Khaos raised his left, unarmed hand and began chanting as a white glow appeared around his hand. He was using paladin white magic.

Marcus stood on a rooftop near the fight as well as oposite to Jacob. He kept himself from getting caught in the ruckus knowing that Khaos would kill him too even though he served him.

 

Jacob almost fell of the building when he saw all the windows shatter"what the heck just happened"he said loudly then he coverd his mouth"crap i just blew my cover"he thought to himself nervously.

 

Marcus saw Jacob, "I best get rid of this one before Khaos sees me doing nothing", he mumbled to himself as he ran across the rooftops towards his target, Jacob.

Kain shifted his eyes from sheer reaction and saw the other vampire then realising the paladin had attacked.

Khaos finished the spell and fired a white flash at Abbie and Kain. His face gleamed now like a chessure cat.
