The Night Shift

"Humans have known about our kind for about 300 years", Kain said, "Why else would we have a sanctuary, In this age we are hunted."

 

She shook her head, and blinked. She could remember something... It was like she used her eyes for her memories.
"We are...hunted..." she said, putting it in her mind. She tried to think...
"I got...amnesia a few days ago... I can't remember anything... But i do remember that i used to see..." she said softly.

 

"I see, well maybe you will recover your memories and eyes then become an asset", Kain hypothosised.

 

"Who knows?" she asked, taking a deep breath.
"I woke up in an alley, covered in a tarp... I thought it was just dark, but then, a blue essence came into view... Everytime something moved, i could barely see it... Noises echo off the walls, and barely make it available to see a little better.

 

"You may have twice the enhanced senses a vampire would already have", Kain explained pondering on the thought, "Well without your sight the other four would improve", he continued to think on it, he had heard of a blind monk who was as powerful as a vampire from such a thing.

 

She shook her head.
"I can hear better... and hearing can make it easier on my eyes..." she said. She leaned back, hoping a wall was there, but instead fell back.

 

Kain did nothing as he watched her fall, "It looks like you will need your eyes", He said coldly. He was in a sense heartless.

 

She frowned and sat up blinking. She couldn't see the tears in her eyes, but she felt them slightly sting from the strain. She blinked and felt them roll down her cheeks. She looked away when she realized she was crying.
"It's not my fault," she said, sniffling.

 

"If you can't help yourself how will you be able to survive in this world?", Kain asked rehtorically.

Jacob got done waking up and he looked around to see if he could do anything"lets see what can i do" he said to himself.While he was walking he saw some vampires but nobodie he would talk to" i wonder should i join those night shifts i heard about"he said to himself thinking what his decision would be.

 

She stood up, holding against a wall.
"What do you want me to do.. Magically fix my eyes!?" she asked.

 

"That would be perfect", Kain mocked looking to the entrance, "It's about time I looked for the others", he said as he began to head out.

 

She scoffed and slid down the wall, blinking alot, hoping it was a way to fix her eyes. She tried to remember something from her past, but nothing could come to mind.
"Damn eyes," she said, punching a hole in the concrete wall.

Jacob was in town leaning against a building and then he saw a vampire that seemed different then he walked up to him"yo im looking for a way to be in the night shift can you tell me how i can get in"he asked hoping the guy knew anything about it.

Max slumped down onto an old tree stump. She had been walking for many hours now, not stopping for a single second. Next time, I'll remember to bring a jug of water. Max thought and gave a little shrug.

Abbie made her way back outside. Her vision snapped for a minute, and she could finally see her surroundings. She looked around for a second, then blinked. Her eyes became the sonar again. She frowned. It was wonderful while it lasted.

Lyra hissed angrily. She had no choice but to move backwards when Kain looked towards the bushes. When she tried to follow, she lost the trail. Instead she made her way around a few old buildings, bored.
