The Night Shift

Marcus blocked what he could of her attacks but was hit a few times. The blood seeped from his injuries on his body and he couldn't get a chance to attack at this range. He let his fury attack fade as he defended himself while thinking of a plan.

 

While she used both her blades with one hand, she pulled her other arm over to the side, and using her power to lift up a crate. She threw it at him, making a sound in effort.

 

Marcus saw the crate coming at the last second and punched it making it shatter on his hand cutting it while he was being sliced by Abbie's Sai's. This wasn't going well for him.

 

She pulled back on her blades.
"So... errand boy... I can keep this up all day, " she offered. She blinked a few times, and then her eye sight went pitch black. Her sonar didn't work for some odd reason. She gasped, feeling her eyes clouding up. She tried to blink it away, but her eye sight wouldn't return. She could only gasp slightly, and keep the blades in her power.

 

"Your lucky you have a power like that otherwise i'd of killed you by now", Marcus said stepping away, "I must go recover, I will kill you and Kain next time", he stated before fleeing.

 

She stumbled around, not seeing where he ran off to. She breathed harshly, bumping into the walls and into crates. She heard nothing now. No one was anywhere near her. The sonar was the only thing that helped her.
"Hello! Can anyone help me?" she asked. The wound on her body from the first hit started its effect. She felt dizzy, and she couldn't see at all. She was afraid to be left alone in such a big place now. She whimpered.
"Kain!" she called out. She truely felt safe with him. She wanted to cry now. She felt herself bump into another wall. She fell back, and kicked away from the wall. She felt soaking wet from the rain. She whimpered and pushed away from the ground, not using her telekinesis. She could feel the blood pouring down her body now. It was much thicker than the rainwater.

 

Someone helped Abbie to her feet and guided her back to the sanctuary helping her in.

Kain stood up off his chair seeing Abbie and the stranger. "What happened?", he asked walking over to the two and helping Abbie to a seat with the aid of the stanger.

"She fought Marcus", the voice said it sounded old and rough.

"Marcus? The paladins didn't kill him after all", Kain said sounding let down. "Morbius, why didn't you return sooner?", Kain continued also identifing the stranger.

"Kain, I know what has happened here but I couldnot do a thing when there where those beast preventing my passage here", he said.

Abbie was scared to see nothing. The blue pulse wasn't anywhere to guide her, but she felt someone help her. Her chest bled and ached, but she felt he rain come to a halt. She heard voices... One being Kain. She finally felt safe again. She moved her hands around, trying to find something to support on.

 

"Abbie you should rest, stay seated for a while", Kain said seeing how she and Morbius where the only ones left in the night shift for now.

Morbius stepped infront of Abbie, "Do you need anything? I see you have somesort of issue with your eyes", he asked while stating that he understood her blindness.

 

She backed up a few steps, blinking a few times, still getting no results.
"My sonar isn't working..." she stated.

 

Morbius thought for a moment, "Have you tried using your telekinesis as a method of sight?", he asked, his voice sounded caring.

 

She gasped and moved her face down, while pulling her hands in her sight. She closed her eyes and felt some sort of force on herself. She opened her eyes slowly, looking at her hands in front of her, soaked in rain and blood. They glowed the blue aura. She looked up, at Morbius. She smiled.
"Thank you..." she said, then looked over at Kain, frowning.
"Kain... are you... mad?" she asked.

 

Jacob was walking around and finnaly found the sanctuary"is this the place"he said to himself then he saw a group of vampires and he walked up to the one he hoped was kain"um sir are you kain"he asked him

 

Kain slammed his fist into a wall, "If Marcus is alive and with the Paladins then...", Kain rambled to himself sounding annoyed at the fact that Marcus is around.

"You'll have to forgive Kain, he hasn't had the best of a life", Morbius said, he sounded like a father figure. "By the way my name is Morbius, i'm rather old hence my different appearance", he stated, "and you are?".

Kain looked at Jacob, "If your here to sign up talk to the green one over there", he said pointing to Morbius.

 

Jacob started to shake a little when he saw kain mad and then he heard an caring voice then he smiled"my name is Jacob its nice to meet you Morbius and i would like to sign up and may i request if one of my friends sign up as well"he said to Morbius

 

She jumped when Kain punched the wall, becoming frightened. She listened to Morbius.
"I'm Abbie... what do you mean he's... had a bad life?" she asked. She could barely remember hers.

 

Morbius looked at the two talking to him, "Well, Kain started the war with the paladins seeing how they took his family from him, He's a lot older than he appears", Morbius explained.

Kain left the room into a room called the stratergy room. He came here to think of a way he would defeat his former allies that he believed would now be with the paladins.

 

She watched Kain walk off.
"Did I.. do bad? Fighting that guy?" she asked Morbius.

 

"No, Kain just hates betrayal and Marcus has turned on all our kind", Morbius said folding his arms and looking down. He was tall, very tall.

 

She frowned, and looked up. She felt very short, and belittled, though she didnt know why... He was only tall...
"I see... so I wasn't supposed to fight him?" she asked, confused.
