The New Kingdom

While Dante was walking through the town, he made a few stops just to see what was around here. He'd a few things of interest and even ended up buying some fruit from a vender. Right now he was taking a bite out of the apple that he'd gotten as a snack right now. With the way he eats, something this small can he him satisfied until he ate something else and if needed the rest of the day. Currently he was planning on heading outside the kingdom just to get a look at the land. His curiosity was the only reason he needed to do that.

Click! Clang! Clang! Click! Clang!

The metal from her shoes and its contact to the cold, damp stone floors of the dungeon stair cases caused all the click and clangs to echo through the dungeon halls. One noise followed after the other as the teenaged soldier ran back towards the male she imprisoned. She ran her hand along the dungeon walls as progressed through it, letting it guide her through the dimly lit prison.

Billie was running as fast as she could, but still cautious since she still felt really bad about putting the guy in there without knowing about him - even though it was an order. She clutched the keys that would secure his freedom in her hand. A smile ran across her lips when she noticed the cell that contained him was right ahead.

"It's time to get you out of there, soldier!"

She grabbed one of the metal bars of his cell to help her stop her momentum, which helped as she yanked herself back to the front of his cell. She gave him a reassuring smile before putting the keys into the keyhole of the cell and unlocking it.

"I'm incredibly sorry for putting you there in the first place. Totally 'my bad' if you get what I mean." Billie giggled, then she swung his door open. "And you're free to go! Sorry again, I hope you can forgive my mistakes. Luckily I bumped into one of the guards on my way to the king who told me that the princess ordered someone - which was you - to be put out of prison."

Aloys watched Risit pick on a knight, knowing that was a common sight back at the castle. This caused him to worry about tricks and things being played on him though so far luck smiled upon him. However this luck did not seem to apply to other things as the familiar sound of an arrow zooming by was picked up by his ears.

Realizing the threat his bow was ready within seconds as he looked around for the source. Several bandits seemed to have found them and all were ready to attack. With this level of danger he would not wait for an order thus sending an arrow of his own out. The mark was hit but at the same time a knight beside him fell. That sent the boy to duck for cover while he readied the next arrow.

“If it’s anyone’s fault it’s your captain Beta” he said as he left his cell and undid the straps on his armour letting it fall on the ground with a clank, his regular clothes were on underneath since he didn’t wear chainmail “I request you have my armour fixed, mostly the arm guards” he said as he quickly wrapped up his bleeding arms and then grabbing his Claymore and strapping to his back “I also need my horse, where is it?” he asked quickly as prepared to hunt his target. “It won’t be long until he realises I am free” he said quietly to himself as he left the dungeon.​

he awoke from his nap. Beta felt rejuvenated as he breathed in the fresh air flowing into the castle by the gate. "Tomorrow is almost here. The wedding will soon be ready. I wonder how the food will taste?" With that question, he arose to check on the chefs and their preparations. They were key to his plan to eradicate the royal family. Making his way through the castle, the closer he approached the kitchen, the stronger the smell of delicious food radiated from it. He entered to see many of the chefs scrambling to get the food done. It was necessary to start early on some of the goods being that they took some time to prepare.

One of the chefs was coming around with what looked like to be the wine and punch that would be served. The best of wines that could be offered in fact. Beta stopped in front of him. "Care for a sip Sir Beta? We just prepared this batch."
"I think I will pass, thank you. If you will allow me, I'll take these to the dining hall for you."
"Oh no, sir. I couldn't ask of you to do something like that."
"Tomorrow is a big day. It would be best if you continued to make our king's favorite meals."
"If you insist. Thank you." The chef handed over the cart to Beta and went off to continue baking.

Beta gave a slight smirk as his plan was coming to life. He went down the hall with the cart and saw no one had been there. "Perfect." He reached into his armor and pulled out a bottle. He dropped some of the liquid inside to each of the bowls. It would take 15 hours to completely poison the drinks. The perfect thing was, none of them would be affected in taste. He hurried down to the dining hall and set the cart down. He took a sip of the wine and then the punch. "Ah. they taste much better." This was to ensure that no one know what he had did if they saw him. He would appear unharmed and walk away free... for now. Many new Beta with his alcohol problem and hated the taste. Someone would just suspect that he watered it down. He was caught for doing this in the past.

The idea of having a garden was most pleasing and was being taken under serious consideration. A list of plants they would have was even made in her mind as the princess stood and moved to the window. But before it could get very long something had startled the young female, causing the queen to stand as well and move to look outside.

"They seemed to have imprison someone without any discussion. How rash men are." It was a shame, being represented like this in front of the one to marry her son. But hopefully she would understand and will have a better impression once the matter was settled. "A traitor though... I must hear of this."

She made her way to the cells, figuring the other two would either follow or go to do something else, but when she made it to the cell where their newest prisoner was held she found him already out. And demanding things too. How bold.

"Before you go," she spoke as she stopped in the hall, "please tell me your name and of your reason for being here."

 

It was suppose to be just a simple errand. See what's in stock at a few markets at Korr for his uncle. Good news, he did it, and made a list. Bad news, he started sight-seeing, which wasn't on his to-do list. He hated himself for admitting it(not liking Korr in general), but the kingdom looked pretty good. It was a miracle he managed to get here alive with the rough trip he had to endure alone. Maybe some time off couldn't be THAT bad.

Turns it, it would. He looked at the sun, and determined the time. He was about 10 minutes late, and by the time he got back home, it'd be at most maybe, what, a few hours?, which would definitely get his family worried. "Well, farewell, Kingdom of Korr!" And on that note, he left, to walk all the way back to Lazinth...alone...With nothing but two swords...and sneakers.

"Well, well, that looks interesting..." It had been some time since he'd left, and he found a few bandits(he was conveniently hiding behind a boulder)running towards one direction. Peeking out, he saw a rather large caravan surrounded by bandits. "Just pretend not to see anything...Slowly edge aw--"

"Hey, you!"

"Son of a--" He quickly did a 180 spin, saw a bandit with his knife pointed towards him, and he held up his hands. "Whoa, whoa...No need to--" He grabbed the man's wrist, and gave it a twist, which would've made him yell had Poke not quickly slip behind him, and cover his mouth. "--scream so much." The man, from the pain in his wrist, dropped his knife, which prompted Poke to choke the bandit.

"Messy..." He dusted himself off. The bandit wasn't dead, just unconscious. "Back to edging away..." He quickly took another peek, and this time, he saw a knight go down by an archer. "Guilty conscience, or chicken conscience." He noticed the knife, still there beside the bandit. "Hm..." He picked it up. Pretty light.
"Nope." He tried to let go, but his fingers wouldn't let him. And it wasn't him that was doing it. It was like some physic force, or something else... This creeped him out, not by the unnaturality, but the cause. "Damnit, fine!" And with a minor head ache imminent, he jumped out from behind the boulder, now easily noticeable by any bandits nearby, and threw the knife at one of the bandits surrounding the cart. "GERONIMO!" He yelled, in a spread-eagle stance,hoping to attract some attention(Why would I want that?) "YO, BAND-TARDS!"

Kaileigh was pleased to see that the queen was willing to get to the bottom of things rather than just let a man be enslaved for what was probably nothing. She smiled fondly as they made their way out of the dining hall and to the jail. She had sent word for Alacasta to be released. That seemed to be the case when they arrived. A young female soldier was just letting him out of his cage when they arrived. The princess hung back behind Her Majesty and Prince Varion. It was after all, their kingdom. "Before you go," Queen Abigail spoke as she stopped in the hall, "please tell me your name and of your reason for being here."

She was a wise woman. Kaileigh was beginning to believe that she would not entirely mind living under the queen's thumb rule until Varion took over, if only it were not for her husband. She couldn't put the whispers she had been hearing out of her mind. For now though, it would have to wait. Princess Kaileigh smiled welcomingly at the newly released prisoner. "Good marrow Alacasta. A pleasure it is to see thou once more." She stepped out from behind the Korr royal family so that she could get a better look at him. "How long has it been?" Kaileigh would like to image that they were meeting under better circumstances, but his presence would mean only one thing for the people of Korr and that was bad.

 

Once he'd finished with the apple, he tossed it away. Since it was organic, he was certain that some creature would find it and take care of the remains or it would naturally decay. Still now he was left wonder what he would do next. There was always the castle. After all he was in a different kingdom so why not just get look at it, even if he probably wouldn't be able to get inside. So with his plan of action settled, he headed towards the castles direction.

So... they were under attack suddenly eh? Well... this made things no longer boring, but the King did indeed not even bother getting out of his caravan. Instead, he casually leaned back and yawned. "Hey, Risit. I'll trust you to take care of these losers. I'm gonna have a nap now." For he knew that his adviser could easily take care of himself and ALL the other knights and guards in his charge. ...That is until a knight got shot in the head by an arrow.
"...and now. ...Now I'm pissed off. The nap can wait." Everyone knew that one of the reasons why Archibold Rintz was so well respected as a King was because he cared about every single member of his Kingdom. Another reason he was so well respected was because... Well... Let's just say you don't piss the King off.
He was out the caravan, and walking slowly to the shooter within a few seconds.
"I won't bother dirtying my blade with the likes of you guys. I may be getting old, but I'm nowhere near old enough to not be able to handle a bunch of-" An arrow was shot at his head, but he tilted it to the side and felt the arrow zoom past without even having a stutter in his words. "bandits who can't even shoot straight."He started walking forwards towards the shooter, not breaking his stride. There was a reason he was King. A King emitted an aura, and Archibold was certainly emitting it right now. The Archer was panicking already, trying to fit another arrow into his bow, but thumbling as the King approached, seeming all the more bolder. "Don't get cocky because a lucky arrow caught one of my best. He'll be remembered and honored, but you... No one...-" The king was in striking distance now. The Archer in a panicked state dropped his bow and pulled out a dagger, but already, the King's fist when smashing into the Archer's face, making him crumple in an instant. "NO ONE WILL REMEMBER OR HONOR YOU!"He stood over the unconscious body and looked around at the others. The rest of the knights and guards had fallen into formation, albeit... They were undoubtedly not pleased that their King had just taken such a risk by walking well into the midst of the bandits.
"Right. You have a few choices, because I am a fair man. I'm nice, but not a fool. A King has to keep up appearances and not be weak. I'm certainly not the latter. So listen up. You took one of my men. Now while this.. shmuck isn't worth even a hundredth of him, his life will be taken in exchange to even up the scales. That much is certain. You all however can leave now, but be warned; This offer is only extended once. My group will not be caught off guard again, and they most certainly will kill every single one of you if you do not take my kind offer while it stands. Is that understood?"The King turned around and started to walk back to his caravan. "I'll leave the disposal of that whelp up to you, Risit. As for the others, what happens next is up to them. I have faith in every single one of you. I know that small-fry like these don't even hold a candle to you all, the Might of Lazinth."...And with that. The King had spoken.

When the king went to take a nap Aloys was rather upset with the reaction, though that soon changed. He got up and, so carelessly, went straight for the one who had taken out someone on their side. Such fearful tone and bravery... It made him think back to his master. The boy really wondered how they were doing and if he had disappointed them with his lack of results.

These thoughts did not distract him and stayed out of his expression as a new arrow was drawn and pulled back, ready to be fired at any given moment though held as they awaited the bandits' response and Risit's next move.
