The New Keyblade Journey

"Muh? Where did those come from...eh, whatever floats your boat. But be careful-they are REEEAAAL finicky about who holds them."

 

Rei went to grab the two 'keyblades' that she picked, but before she could, they disappeared. "What?!" she exclaimed. Suddenly, they appeared in her hands. The white in her left and the black in her right. She smirked. "Well, they seem to like me enough," she said and smiled.

 

"Awsome. Well, wanna see what they can do? If so, lemmie just grab Ultima and Soul Eater, here..."

 

"Oathkeeper... Oblivion... I don't know, something is telling me that's what they're called. Sweet!

 

"I know, isn't it AWSOME? Now watch..." Soul Eater shot a purple flame at the wall, burning a hole in it. Then Ultima shot a green beam of light, repairing it.

 

"Holy...! What the?!.....That's frickin' awesome!" Rei walked towrds Ryan with excitment. "You know what this means, don't you? We have ultimate power! What do ya wanna do with it?" Rei asked, jokingly.

 

"I dunno. Steal a PS3? Save the whales? Teach that windbag of a mayor what happens when he screws with our heads?"

 

"Hey, that third choice sounds pretty good," Rei said.
Suddenly there was a huge jerk, shaking the whole town. Rei and Ryan fell over, and it felt like the whole world was about to explode. As soon as it subsided, there were slight aftershocks. Rei got up and rubbed her shoulder. "You ok?"

 

"Oh man...OH MAN..." He said, looking out the window.

 

"What? Are the damages really bad?" Rei asked as she approached the window.

 

"Bl-bl-black things. Lots and lots of black things. Lots and lots of black things killing people." He said, eyes widened to the size of dinner plates.

 

There was a series of quakes, one of which almost knocking Eva out the window. "What's..." She jumped off her windowsill, heading outside to try and find out what was going on.

 

"K-killing things? You don't think this has anything to do with..." Rei said as she looked at her newly found weapons.

"I dunno, but this ticks me off. No friggin way some monsters are gunna trash MY hood. C'MON, REI!" He roared a battle cry, then raced outside, catching the monsters by suprise.

Rei sighed at his pathetic 'battle cry' and followed. When she caught up with him, he was already fighting three of the little black things. One came up on her, and she slashed it with both keyblades out of anger. "Get offa' me!" She continued to fight until they began to retreat. Rei smiled until she found out that they didn't drive them off, it was what was behind her. She turned to see an even larger black monster.

 

"Buh-big, buh-buh-big..." He then looked at Ultima and Soul Eater. "...I can do this." He thought. "HYAAH!" He plunged Ultima into its chest, when suddenly he noticed..."It has no heart...it's heartless..."

 

"Heart...less." Rei said. She shook the thought and ran towards it. Dragging both keyblades on the ground, light and dark sparks flew. She lunged towards its hand, which was on the ground. The beast yelled in pain as she and Ryan continued to attack it.

 

"Now's your chance, Rei! YAH!" He shot a purple flame, blinding it.

 

Rei nodded and began to run up its arm. As soon as she was at its head, she took both Oathkeeper and Oblivion and rammed them into its face. As she withdrew her weapons, a blast of light shot out of it's head. Rei jumped down onto the ground, nearly killing herself and stumbled to her feet. They watched the monster wail and moan. All of a sudden, a swirling vortex appeared and started sucking up everything in its path. The monster was succumbed by it and half the town was already gone. Rei and Ryan held onto a nearby building, but were eventually taken into the abyss.....

 

Ryan awoke to darkness. He was floating, keyblades in hand. "...What? ...Woah! ...Where...am I...?" He then realized his friend was missing. "Rei? Rei! REI! WHERE ARE YOU, HUH? C'MON, YOU'RE FREAKING ME OUT! REI!"
