The New Keyblade Journey

"I already told your little friend! There has been a mistake! Now get out of my office!" He seemed a bit braver when not dealing with Rei.

 

"Pfft. Lost MY vote." And with that, Ryan rushed out to look for Rei. He eventually found her a few blocks away. "Hey, you!"

 

Rei could hear shouting coming from the city hall. Probably her friend Ryan protesting as well. She figured she'd stop and wait for him.

 

Ryan rushed up. "The fat man's lost my vote. Can you BELIEVE THIS?"

 

"Yeah?" She stood against the wall of the building she lived in.

 

"Totally sucks. Rei, do YOU know what his PROBLEM IS?"

 

"I don't know who's been doing this, because the mayor wont lie to me. He's dead scared I'll kill him or something," she said through a smile.

 

They shared a laugh. "Anyways, curfew aside, I need to show you something!"

 

"Really?" Rei asked. He had her attention now.

 

"TO THE BATCAVE!" He joked. He picked up a stray skateboard and grinded to his place across the street. "C'mon!"

 

Rei smiled brightly and ran after him. She could run as fast as he could skate, which was really saying something. "Hey, slow down!" she said, laughing.

 

They went into his basement. "Okay...prepare to witness the 9th wonder of the world!" He pulled out a glass case containing two odd items. They looked like swords, but...they looked like keys. "And watch this!" He held out his hands, and the swords appeared in them.

 

"Whoa! What kinda place did you rip these off from?" Rei said, shocked.

 

Rocking her feet back and forth over the ledge, Eva sighed. 'This place is so boring. There has to be something beyond this...right?'

 

"I didn't! I-look...call me crazy but...they came from a dream..."

 

"Ryan, I think you are dreaming, haha! But really, what are they?!"

 

"I'M SERIOUS! In my dream, a voice said, 'You've been chosen by the keyblade, find your allies, but take heed-the darkness draws near'. I woke up and-bada bing-there they were. RIGHT...ON...MAH...BED. Thus, I named them keyblades."

 

Rei couldn't help laughing, but turned serious when she saw Ryan's face. He's telling the truth! Instead, she said "What in the world is a keyblade?"

 

"THESE!" He pointed at the swords.

 

"Well, you've made your point. What do we do with them?There's four of them, does that mean we get two each? I want those two!" she said as she pointed to a white one and a black one.
