I hate it when YouTube does that...I had the majority of my videos deleted when Viacom threw a fit over all of it's shows on there. >_>;;

Do you mean for watching them? There's a media player called VLC, and it plays those files with the weird extensions. Like .mlv or whatever.

It's an .avi file though. It just has this brand new codec or whatever so I can't view it. I can hear it, just can't view it. =/

Next time, I'm getting a Mac. Because the only games I play on my computer anyway can be played on a Mac and I use iTunes all the time. >>
And guess what? TOSHIBA DOESN'T ALLOW ITUNES! I know, it's stupid. So I have to use my old laptop to put new songs on my iPod. >>

I'm thinking about what kind of laptop I should get when I get my own?

 

I'm finishing up my SotW entry, and I'm starting to read Catcher in the Rye now.
Apparently it's depressing, but the first chapters are actually funny in a cynical kind of way. xD

Aerith: If you like Windows, get a Dell. Those are usually the most reliable and Vista runs "well" on them.
And I use the terms "run well" and "with Vista" lightly.

Unless your willing to spend $800 or more.
The ones under $800 are horrible.

Get HP, Compaq, or Sony. I was actually supposed to get a Sony, but no, I got a Toshiba.
I'm just happy that I have a laptop, though.

Yeah, but Dell computers/laptops are horrible if they are less than $800. Trust me, I would know.
We went through 3 laptops/computers that were Dell. All of them were in the price range from $600-750 and all of them only lasted a year before they crashed.
My Dad had one that was $850 and he's still using it after 5 years. So yeah, be willing to spend $800 or more if you plan on getting a Dell laptop.

But yes, I'd have to agree with you there. They may be shiny, but they run like...bleh. xD
