she smiled,and lay on her stomach once they;d reached the lake

 

Casey muttered something to himself and threw a pebble across the lake, it bouncing of the surface of the water.

 

she looked in the water,watching the flying sea horses trying to get up

 

Casey hurled another rock towards the centre of the lake and ducked down with a yelp as the pebble was slapped back the tenticle of the Giant Squid. "What the hell..." He laughed

 

she laughed

 

"It's never done that before!" He laughed sitting down on the cold pebbles.

 

"then whys it doing it now? "lyra said grinning

 

"I guess it's finally sick of me doing that after 7 years." He laughed lying down on his back.

 

"probley"she said

 

"So I can annoy inverebrates living in ponds... That's just great."

 

she laughed,then lay on her back

 

"So you're screwed if I can irritate creatures that live miles beneath the surface." He grinned, looking across at her.

 

she grinned"i dunno...i could probley annoy any one too..."Lyra said

 

"I doubt that."

 

you never know..."she said putting her hands behind her head

 

"True, but I'm special. That's why I so talented at being a pest."

 

she grinned

 

"At least that's what my Mum said." Casey laughed.

"My mum says that to jordan all the time...and dad..."Lyra said sitting up
