he grinned"can we go in yet and see her? and him?"jordan said

lily nodded

he walked to the door"you comin' in casey?"he asked

 

"Huh? Oh yeah, of course." Casey said jumping up from the cold floor.

 

he walked inside

lyra was half-sitting,half-laying down in the bed,holding the baby

 

"Hey." Casey said quietly walking over.

 

"hiya.."she said

jordan sat on the edge of her bed"you ok?"He asked"well that was a stupid question...you just had a baby......well erm...how do you feel?"

"tired but,they says i can get outta here soon and mum says i can stay here,with the baby,cos i begged to stay...he wont be any trouble..."

 

"You sure it's a good idea staying here? I mean, what if somthing happens?" Casey asked worriedly sitting down carfully on the other side of her bed.

 

"Im sure,nothing bad could happen...i think anyways...mum says i can stay as long as im happy....which i am..."lyra said

 

"Good to know." Casey smiled "And I'm sure if you don't think anythings gonna happen nothing prob'ley will."

 

she smiled,and sat cory up a little and fixed a tuff of his hair down,and fixed his clothes alittle

"where'd he get them from?"jordan said

"Mum and dad...they thought i'd be having a boy and bought him them,corse they were too big so mum shrunk them with magic,cute eh?"she said

"yeah..."Jordan said

 

"He's so small..." Casey muttered looking at the tiny baby boy.

 

"I know,but they said he'd be fine...and hed get bigger and stuff,that i really care about,that hes fine and everythings ok with him and stuff"Lyra said

 

"So your ok?" Casey asked "And stuff." he added with a chuckle

 

"Yeah,and now i dont feel so tired anymore,wish i could get outta here though....hate it here...its got a...weird feeling...like the feeling of illness or something ...dead depressing in here...."Lyra said

 

"Hospitals do that." he smirked

 

"Oh yeah.."she said

 

Casey looked away and breathed in deeply then looked back at Lyra and the baby and smiled again "I...I umm, I..." he dropped his head and gave up with a sigh "I was wondering what you're gonna do about homework and stuff, as dumb as that sounds. I mean, you're gonna be in here a while."

"I dunno,probly just have it sent along here or something..."Lyra said

 

"Yeah... That seems like a good idea..." Casey muttered idiot...

 

"yeah..."she said

 

"You want me to go?" Casey asked, "You gotta be tired."
