she grinned"Mine bit me...not as bad as josh mc nickle...his bit his a**"she said laughing alittle "It was sooooo funny!"

"I can imagine..."lily mutterd

 

"Oh yeah, nasty biters those things. Remember one almost got me once, evil little f*cker. You alright Lily?" Conni asked, almost as an after thought "We're nearly out of here."

 

"something doesnt feel right..."she said looking around

"Oh yeah...right mum...you always say that...right dad?"
"Yep."he said grinning
"Lyra! move now!"lily said pulling her out the way,she had seen a green light head their way,it hit lily,instead of lyra....she crumpled to the ground
"LILY!"
MUM! NO!" Lyra said looking around,stopping the man that did it,"son of a B*TCH!"She screamed,turning and running back up the stairs
lewis dropped next to his wives body"Lily..."

 

"Lily! Oh, you f*cker... No... Lyra!"Conni yelled, torn between staying with Lily or going after Lyra. God... I can't help Lily now... Least I can do is... Lily... I'm sorry... She thought before chasing after Lyra I know it's what you'd want me to do... "Casey, stay here. Don't you dare go anywhere without Lewis." She called back "Lyra!"

 

she looked behind her,but kept going,she found the hooded man"you little sh*t! ruducto!"she said walking to him,when he had fell,pointing her wand at his heart"if you can kill..so can i..."she mutterd,tears rolling past her cheeks

 

"Lyra!" Conni yelled as she turned the corner "It's not worth it." She said quietly as she came behind her "You know your mother wouldn't want to be the reason you tear your soul in half. You know that..."

 

"But he killed her....he should die..."she said looking at her"mum didnt do nothing...and he killed her..."

 

"Your mother just died for you Lyra, she wouldn't want the life she saved to become a murderer. She saved you so you could live, not so you could kill. Don't you dare use your mother as an excuse to kill, it's an insult to her and to everything she stands for." Conni warned, her voice sounding as though she was fighting back tears. "It's not what she would of wanted, it's not what your father wants and it's damn well not something any of the rest of us want you to go through. So don't you even think of it."

 

"but..."she said,but her wand lowerd,no longer pointing at anything but the ground,biting her lip,trying to not let anymore tears get past her eyes,but she failed,not even wiping her eyes stopped it...

 

"Lyra... Go back to your father and Casey... and your mum... It's the best thing alright? Just leave this, don't sink to his level. Go on..." She sighed "Go."

 

she nodded,turning and walking away,she slowly made her way down the stairs,wiping her eyes,looking at her father.
he got up and hugged her,not wanting to let go...holding her tighter as she put her hed his shoulder

 

Conni silently waited for Lyra to leave then turned on the figure of the murderer. A look of pure evil and hatred on her face "Don't think I did that to save you. I did it to save her. Luckily enough killing scum like you is my job, not her's." She snarled before a bright green light filled the corridor.

A few moments later Conni came back down the stairs, looking no different then she had done before Lyra had left for her family.

 

he let go of her,and sniffed slightly..."well...well lets...go back to the others then..."he said quietly"ill carry her..."

"where's alex and uncle albus?"lyra said looking around

"Here ly...we're here...what-what happend?"he said seeing lily

"Oh..no...no...no...lily...."albus mutterd

 

"Surprise attack... She took the curse for Ly... Nothing any of us could of done..." Conni sighed placing a hand on Casey's shoulder as she spoke to them. He slowly raised his hand and placed ontop of his mother's.

 

she looked at the floor
"Ly..."
lewis picked lily up,and headed out the castle,lyraa started to follow

 

Conni sighed tearfully as a single tear fell down her face, before she turned to follow the others. Casey soon fell into step between Lyra and his mother. Pale faced and unsure of what to do...

 

Vincent stood in the doorway of the castle, tears lightly flowed from his eyes. He felt like that something had happened to one of his friends. Kai ran past him when he saw Casey and Lyra and their families come from the forest. Kai looked like she was crying hard.

She turned to Conni, tears streamed down her face. "Conni, is Lily......." She couldn't continue, and started to cry harder.

 

she sighed,glancing at her father now and again

 

Conni nodded sadly "Yeah... She's gone..." She said in barely more then a whisper, her voice cracking as she tired not to cry. But it was too late, tears had already begun to stream donw her pale cheeks. "The b*stastard who did it is too..." Conni added weakly.

Casey watched Lyra carfulling from the corner of his eye, feeling not only his greif at loosing the closet thing to a aunt he'd ever know but Lyra's pain too. It was killing him inside.
