Casey silently crept in through the portraithole, hoping not to be seen.

 

"Ok well maybe i was...."she said"but the way you and him act...its like...i dunno..."she said laughing

alex snuck in after him

 

"Just mates. Seriously, the flirty stuff is just me winding him up all the time. He's not my type at all."

"Nice to see Lyra's happy now I guess..." Casey muttered soundlessly under his breath.

 

"really?"she said grinning

he looked around the corner at them,then tried to get up to the dorms

 

"He's too... I dunno, stupid I guess. I know I don't date gueniouses but they're not really my type either. Just whoever shows up with the offer really." She shrugged. "No, he's deffinatly not my type."

 

she grinned"i dont think your his type either...look at his girl friend...then look at your sef...he like blonde dumb nice lookin' girls..."she said"always has..."

 

"I coulda been blonde. It's well unfair that Casey's the blonde. I got stupid mousy brown sh*tty hair..."

"She's never gonna let that die..." Casey muttered "15 years is long enough to get over that..."

 

"i likw your hair colour..."she said"its nice...."

 

"Seriously? This isn't my natural colour though. I dyed it this shade, this is my real hair colour." She said lifting up the bottom of her long hair, showing the dull, almost greyish, brown of her true hair tone.

Casey slowly edged closer to the end of the wall, "We're so not getting past them..."

 

"never know..."He said

"really? the dyed brown it nicer"she said

 

"If we run like five times the speed of sound we might have a chance."

"Yeah, now you see why I hate Casey for being blonde. My hair just looks like it couldn't decide where it wanted to go."
