she sighed

 

Ada thought for a second, before something clicked...

 

"whats up?Lyra said

 

"This diary, it tells of subjects being tested, yet showing rare signs of actual mutation. And this parchment, this type has only just started to be used...so the diary can't be that old...Are you guessing WHat im guessing?"

 

"we're screwed?"

 

"No...I Never came across any body's that could have been subjects to the infection when I was in the facility...Nor did you guys, So who where, or are, the subjects?"

 

"my be they died?"

 

"For some reason, I doubt that...Lyra, whose Idea was it to come here?"

 

"My grandpa Spinnetts..why?"

 

"No reason..." Ada frowned, thinking...

 

she looked at her

 

"Try to piece this together, 'Cuz my minds blocked. There are subjects on the island, this diary states they arrived the same week we did. I found a wand on the plane, but it wasnt mine. New parchment, no scent of any bodies that could have been used as subjects, and there just happens to be a boat here....Please, someone explain that this is just some coincidence.."

 

she shrugged

 

Ada thought, "do you think...Nah."

"when your grandparents gave you the tickets, were they acting normaly?"

 

lyra looked at jordan,"grandma was..."

 

"Thats It!...Do your grandparents have any contact with people at the ministry?"
