"i dont like him..."lyra said "and i only ran into him because i was talking to you becauese you were picking your blisters..."lyra said pulling a face

he grinned"yeah....suuure ly,you like him...you cant laugh...i know who he is....if you like him....better hurry up and ask him to the dance...loads of girls are after him..."Jordan said grinning"bet you couldnt ask him..."

"bet i could..."lyra said sitting up

"its a bet then...ten sickles, i get them if you dont..you get them if you do..."jordan said grinning

"today....at dinner..."Jordan said"in front of everybody..." he said sticking out his hand

"right,just wait....i'll be wanting those ten sickels..." she said shaking it then letting go.

Elle shook her head and looked up at her brother "So did all this happen before or after you started to sing about which team you bat for Casey?"

"I didn't say anything like that you little--" Casey snarled stopping himself from snapping at her.
"You practicly waltzed outta the closet singing West Side Story!" Elle cackled.

"its not casey thats gay....its jordan..."lyra said

"elle he has my brother...and well i havent seen you swing but i bet that you dont swing like that" chrizlee said laughing at jordans comment
