The New Era

" I remeber lying on the ground. I woke up in Old Dalan's house."

 

"I wish I knew what happened." Ni hugged him tighter.

 

Des took off his helmet. He tilted Ni's chin upward. He leans in close.

 

Ni leaned closer, having stand on her toes to reach. Their lips touched.

 

Des was happy but angry ath the same time.

"Sweet. THis is the best day of our life!" said the teenager in Des.

"This is wrong. Stop this now! You are in so much trouble." Said the inner judge.

"Shut up judge. let him be a teenager for a minute."

 

As Ni sank into the kiss she became oblivious to the people around her, not caring about anything but the moment. Her and Des. This was the happiest she had felt in years.

 

Des didn't want it to stop. Ever.

 

Ni felt safe, warm, wanted for the first time she could remember.

 

Des used to hate getting up. Now things are diffrent.

 

Ni wraped her arms around Des's neck.

Her life seemed barable, even enjoyable now that Des was in it.

 

Des put his arms around Ni's waist. He was so happy that he picked her up off the ground.

 

As Ni was lifted she bent her knees and pushed herself closer to him.

 

Des was even happier now.

Ni was so happy that she couldn't belive that this was her life, that this was happening to her.

Des is so overjoyed. He has to stop to breathe.

Des takes off his armor. Fully clothed as a normal person, he is slightly taller than Ni.
