BIC: I looked out across the large town. The sunset matched the town's appearance perfectly. "Yes....it's a very pretty sight...." I said, scanning the town. I then sat down on the edge of the ledge, staring out at the town.

 

Nebx sat down next to Saxilesm.

 

I stared out across the town. "....This is the kind of town I wanted to be in when I was human....instead of that dreadful city...." I told Nebx.

 

"I see." Nebx said.

 

I looked at Nebx, staring straight in his eyes. I wanted to know more about him. I was rather curious, now. "Hey...Nebx? What was your past like?" I asked him.

 

Nebx was silent and said, "I don't want to talk about it."

 

I looked down when he said that. I was silent. I continued staring down, thinking back to when Sara and I would work together to steal from robbers, and make use of the money we took. I hated all the bad I did....even if I had no choice but to do so....

 

"I hate my past life..." Nebx said.

 

I still stared down. "....Your not the only one...." I replied. "...You don't even know what I've had to do....just to live....from selfishness....from hate...." I told Nebx, my voice cracking with the last two words...

 

"I was brutally murdered by my fellow villagers." Nebx said.

 

I looked up at him as soon as he said that. "....You were?" I asked him quietly. "...Why?"

 

"The villagers believed that the only way to realize the true goodness of human beings was to put all the evil onto one person and blame him as the true source of any human evil. And guess how they picked." Nebx said.

 

"....They picked you...." I said quietly. I then sighed, looking down. "....Have you done anything...bad?" I asked him, really thinking hard about the things I had done...

 

"Well if you count making weapons and trying to save people and failing every time and they all died by accedents, then no." Nebx said.

 

"Heh..." I closed my eyes. "....Well....then you deserved this second chance. Not me, though....I've done many bad things...." I said.

 

Nebx sighed deeply and said, "Let's go."

 

I stared down at the town a bit longer. "....Twenty four suicide attempts? He must hate his life...." I whispered. I then stood up, and faced Nebx. I frowned a bit, thinking about what he told me.

 

Nebx put his arm around Saxilesm and opened up a portal back to the world that never was.

 

I stepped through the portal with Nebx. I then sighed, staring at the ground. My past was starting to haunt me. I kept thinking back to the death of all my friends....

 

Nebx lead Saxilesm to her room and said, "Here's your room."
