Kingdom Hearts II The mystery of the "door"

Ya know, have u ever realized that when Sora and his freinds enter the door that pops out of nowhere on the Altar of Naught, well, looking at it closely, the door when into a EXACT same dimension as the World that Never Was. How is this possible, since there isnt more than 2 places in the game technically, the door therefore made NO sense whatsoever. Anyways, if you look at it, when Sora and freinds walk thru the door, theres a shiny glowing dimension on that side of the door, but wait, they enter from a shiny dimension, not the altar of naught where they SHOULD have entered from. Did the creators pull off a double take on us?

Xemnas was the ruler of Kingdom hearts at that time, so I assume he fashioned it how he wanted.

 

I think I get the question you are asking but if not feel free to correct me here. When Sora, Riku and King Mickey had to open the door at the Altar of Naught, it was to go to Xemnas. Yes, they appeared in the city again, in a way but I think this was a fabricated city and scenario in Nothingness to face Xemnas. Xemnas's power element was Nothingness and played by his rules. I think we are just left to understand that the two characters and Xemnas fought on a different planar level of TWTNW. After all, in the regular world, obviously buildings weren't being tossed and they weren't flying around etc.

I kind of took TWTNW to be not a world in itself but like the Nobodies, what remained after worlds were taken by the Heartless, or more like the memories of places that existed after the Heartless consumed those places, given a fabricated body like the Nobodies were. The door basically went on to Xemnas's control and connection to the place as he was the first Nobody. Almost like a dreamscape of some sort. I know I am not explaining this well but it is hard and well, speculation.

As for the Door to Darkness in KH1 that went to the real Kingdom Hearts, that door also led to Darkness which is why Riku had to remain there and King Mickey had to seal it from the other side too. That door was different from TWTNW door we see at the end of KH2. Also, Sora and his friends had to go through to the End of the World to face 'Ansem' which was holding the -actual- remains and chunks of places that the Heartless had destroyed of the worlds. TWTNW I looked at as holding the 'memories' of places kind of like the Nobodies also had their memories for the most part. Hope this helped at all. When I'm more awake after work perhaps we can theorize a bit more on it, but yes, it was never explained very well at all, which does leave some holes.

 

I found the final 'door' in the second game to be impressive. I'd expected it, but it was bigger and more amazing looking than I'd expected. Walking up to it and opening it was a thrill, and had a mixture of excitement, with the battles and ending to come, and sadness, that world story was over in the game.

 

If you're saying "Why they reapered at the Altar of Naught after tha battle",then it's because when Xemnas was destroyed,that door vanished,and that dimension was goneas well,so they all reapeared at the place the door was,the Altar of Naught,was bothers me,is how Mickey got intothat Dimension.

 

The door didn't take them to the World That Never Was. Since Xemnas controled Kingdom Hearts at the time he could make it lead wherever he wanted it to.
