Ash eyed the other warlock for a moment, raising his eyebrow at the immaturity displayed. Responding simply to agitate or validate Masque's behavior was beneath him so, instead, Ash chose to ignore him. His interest was on Morrigan's reaction towards his long-winded story. The spell had ended before she had much chance to give him a better read on how she felt over it but, from the look in her eyes, that was enough for him.

    "
Brianne and Rhett? I don't see much of a point going after them. The Lightwoods are capable of taking care of themselves and Rhett is hardly a pushover." The truth was, he wanted to check on them but time was too short. He had to get used to the idea that he couldn't be everywhere at once. Sometimes there was no way around allowing others to put themselves in danger. How could Rhett grow if he did not allow the werewolf to act on his own? The same principle held with Clary...although the ifrit was proving to be more than difficult.

    "
They will be fine. Have faith in the young, Morrigan." He pulled a small piece of paper from his pocket and unfolded it to reveal an intricate design that looked vaguely like a rectangular door albeit with hundreds of runes drawn across it. There was more than one way to make a portal and Ash had researched just about every kind during his time in the Spiral but, being who he was, decided to create his own spell which none but him could replicate. It was always better to be safe than sorry. The last thing he'd want done with his own spells was for them to be used in any way he did not intend.

    He offered the paper to
Morrigan and took out his satchel once more, pulling out a bowl made of brass. "Can you help me draw this?" He pointed over towards one of the walls that looked to have enough space. "The intricacies of this spell would take me an unreasonable amount of time to duplicate it on my own." He back to pour a black powder into the brass bowl before dipping his finger into it, causing the power to suddenly transform into a substance closer to oil, before tracing the outline of the door to give Morrigan an idea of the dimensions it was to be. "It would have been easier for the two of us to go alone. I'm sure you are decades, or centuries, overdue for a vacation." He muttered lowly, half serious.

Rhett stepped beside Brianne, having finally caught up, and held his hand out to tell the other werewolves to stand back. He did not want any bloodshed and he was sure they were sure to start a fight at the slightest sign of trouble. Hopefully, that fact alone would keep the other wolves in check. Rhett eyed the Brianne's arms, glancing at where she had hidden her wounded hand, and breathed in and out slowly. The smell of blood was clear to his nose but it was something more than just that which kept his attention. He wanted to speak to her desperately but whatever he wished to say was best left between the two of them. His stomach sank as he mulled over it but there would be time to settle that particular issue later.

He looked at the pack before him, shifting his eyes towards the damaged Institute for an instant, before he spotted the alpha. The female was already in wolf form. He couldn't help but smile with relief. This was no Keller. "
Is there really a need for words, ange-er-Brianne? I'm sure they're just leaving." Rhett turned his attention towards the pack occupying the Institute. He spotted an ifrit. "Oh right. That's Clarity. Yeah, I recognize her. You see? There was nothing to worry about. No one's dead and you're getting the Institute back."

He spoke towards the pack. "
You guys aren't going to be stupid and risk dying over territory that was never yours, right? There's bigger fish to fry." That was the second time he used a fish analogy today. He was hungry for fish. The sooner they were done here, the sooner they could have a food break.

He made a further mental note: Don't piss off the Seelie Queen too much. The Inquisitor was not scared by her display, but he was concerned about the future after what he had said. He watched the sudden and violent death by plant that was faced by the Seelie Knight, and it became clear to him that he was by no means, safe. And she had put him very much in an awkward position. He was bound by these plants, and he didn't even try to resist. He knew that they would be too strong for him to break through. Her grip was painful and her nails dug into his flesh, but he showed no sign of fear or pain on his face. He had seen things in his line of work. What happened when Nephilim became involved with those who toyed with Demons and what happened when it backfired. He had seen bloody scenes. He had seen Nephilim horrifically tortured and Nephilim horrifically torturing Downworlders in the hope of a confession. The kiss would probably have been pleasant too, if the situation had not been so serious and not meant as a method of taunting him.
"Fine, I'll play your game, Seelie Queen." He replied. There was no other way of doing it. He was already coming up with plans though. It was clear that there was going to be a war on two fronts. He was going to have to fight the traitors, and the Seelie Queen. That meant that he was going to have to call Yorick and get the old man to have supplies delivered. He was going to need a lot of iron. He wondered to himself whether it was appropriate for an Inquisitor to kill the Seelie Queen. He wouldn't hesitate if he got the chance. If he could bait her out of her homeland, then he had a chance. Right here was the seat of her power though. "I'm going to need to resupply first." Once he was released, he brushed himself off and looked back at Roxanne.
"Calm down Roxanne, everything will be alright. As Inquisitor, guardian of the Nephilim, I promise that it will be alright." He offered some words of reassurance. "Just listen to your messages and it will be okay." He looked over at Titania again.
"Care to inform me of what happened? It might be useful intelligence for the hunt." He reasoned. "If you want me to kill a traitor, then information is the best way to arm me. You do want her dead, don't you?"

Felicia simply watched as the other alpha and his pack entered, along with the female who had left the institute with Athelrick and Hendrick earlier. While Brianne talked in a somewhat civil tone towards her, requesting her to be human, Rhett was not as polite. Felicia suddenly shifted so she was now sitting on a step in human form instead of wolf form, studying those in front of her. She held a knife in hand as she began to toss it up and catch it. It was silent for a long moment before she began to speak.

"No. I wasn't about to leave, and if you have an issue with that, there are plenty of others here you could take it up with. Perhaps the grumpy one who wouldn't listen to the stipulation of me leaving, or the Ifrit who I chased in here and in the end talked the grumpy one into letting me stay for the time being. But don't worry about your little pack. Mine already know to behave, so unless you pick a fight, there is no fight to be had." Felicia stated, keeping her eyes on Rhett and only Rhett. If he was going to challenge her for authority, so be it. If he was happy leading his pack and willing to leave hers alone, then that was fine too.

"I never claimed this place as my own, no matter what everyone assumes so calm your tits. I can leave if you really want, but I want a promise that the man who tried to murder Clarity and is coming after me next would be dealt with without my help. See I would do it myself but that would require being around where he would return. But hey if you want me gone I would be more than happy to protect my pack and let yours handle it." Felicia said with a shrug. And it was more than true. She was supposed to be brought up as a ruthless leader, but Felicia actually cared for those she lead. She would do what she could to protect them and if that meant that she was the first to head into battle, she would. If she had to leave everything she was trying to accomplish to others in order to keep them safe, then she would do that too. However if she was going to be hunted she would be prepared the best she could, because that was going to be her best chance of survival. If they thought they were safe hiding and he found them, then it could cause a bloody mess, one she didn't care to deal with.

While raiding the fridge he looked around to see for something to snack on, dinner would have to wait for now, well at this rate it would probably classify as a midnight snack. He found some liverwurst and confiscated it for quality inspection, taking a bite out of it he decided to see where the hell everyone else was, not that he was gonna share that thing, well okay he found in their fridge so he would share it with the other Nephilim. He found the others quickly enough and saw it had gotten a whole lot busier in here. "Well then, it would appear it has gotten rather crowded over here.." Aethel said to no one in particular. He took note of all the people in the room, knew the significant ones with the exception of one, which was Nick, but there was time for that later. He decided to be rude once more and mix himself into the conversation between Rhett and Felicia, the latter of which said she was gonna leave on a promise of dealing with the big I, well of course the Inquisitor would be dealt with. "No worries, wolfie, I promise I'll take care of it, after all it's kinda my fault he's after you in the first place. And it would be rather convenient for me as well were he out of the equation." Aethel said, in a rather light tone, forgetting he still had that liverwurst in his hand.

"That's good too." Creed replied. Of course being alive was a good thing, but that didn't truly mean that one was truly okay. He's still alive and there have been times where he was anything but okay. Those weren't times that Creed was proud of and he avoided reminding himself of them whenever he could. Brianne briefly holding his hand quelled his concerned for the time being, but they most certainly hadn't gone away for good.

Stepping into the institute Creed started to feel uneasy, probably because of the sheer amount of wolves that were inside. Well this certainly sucked to a certain degee, but at least they didn't seemed to be hostile enough to attack on sight, that much was a relief.
"Can we not start another fight, isn't that against the reason we came here." Creed said. Granted the reason they came here was cause someone had messaged Brianne so he wasn't sure just how much to that statement was true, but they didn't need to know that.

Sien was busy sitting down on a nearby chair he had found, trying to piece things together where yet another group of wolves had arrived. This group was accompanied by Brianne and two people that he didn't know, but did remember seeing at the safe house. That and Nick had returned from wherever the hell he went so there's that too. Not knowing whay to say right now, Sien silently observed the situation before him.

"I have had..." Titania turned, and in the blink of an eye had Corvo by the throat, her nose nearly touching his, "enough of your disrespect. Shadowhunters may not teach their inferiors the art of respect," her eyes were brighter then luminescent paint, "but I assure you, Corvo, continue to press me, and you will not live long enough to understand the nature of your mistake."

She shoved him away as the Seelie Knights closed ranks in front of her, their emotionless faces watching the two Shadowhunters. "Get out." Titania turned, striding to the far side of the room. "You said you're a guardian of the Nephilim,
Corvo. Well I can't imagine that should be a hindrance for you in this task." A tree burst from the ground, shaking the room as it grew, the trunk becoming large enough it would be a struggle to circle her arms around it. With a twist of her fingers, the tree shaped itself into a shape similar to a chair, where she lay, snapping her fingers once more. A small once human girl appeared, kneeling as she held a bowl of water in her hands. The Seelie Queen traced the surface of the water, preparing it for contact.

Brianne massaged her hand with the other, the small ache beginning to annoy her. "Leave, stay, whatever." She snapped. "There will be no fighting, not when there's bigger issues to work out. I expect you both to have resolved this issue like adults, by the time I return. Am I f*cking clear?" Not bothering to wait for the reaction from either Felicia or Rhett, she strode away, slamming open the door to the room that had previously held Masque, Sien, and Alarick. The shards of the broken compact yet remained as Brianne collapsed onto the sofa, rubbing her head with one hand. She went back to massaging the cramp in her hand, gritting her teeth.

She would remain here, knowing Alarick and Clarity would come when they were ready. She might as well leave it up to them, because she would never be ready. Not for this.

Roxanne had expected death, or torment, or something for not agreeing to go along with the Seelie Queen's demands, but nothing came. The Seelie Queen was more focused on Corvo, it was his task it seemed not hers, but she was expected to go along. She had agreed to work with Corvo and now he was her only hope at survival, but the only way she would survive was if he killed Brianne, and Roxanne couldn't let that happen either. The situation was really grim and she had nothing that she was able to do about it.

    As the
Queen finished yelling at Corvo, he told her to get her phone and listen to her message. She knew that he just wanted her to calm down. She would make an effort to, for the sake of she couldn't even function enough to stand at this point, but she didn't even want to. She didn't want to stand up and face the reality she had been forced into. Part of her even thought it was better to die. The problem was, if she died here then there was no way that she would be able to save Brianne. She had to at least try.

Roxanne scrounged around on the floor until she found her phone and had it gripped tight in her hand. She slowly worked on getting the message up for herself once again, though her fingers felt clumsy at this point. When she managed to do it she played the message, not just once but three times. By that point her breathing had become normal and she stopped shaking nearly as much. She stared at her phone screen for a moment before she finally put it away. Forcing herself to her feet, she felt unstable at first standing but managed to stay upright. She didn't say a word, fearing that acknowledging the situation would simply set her off again. She had to stay strong, she needed to keep her wits about her long enough to find a way to stop
Corvo from going through with the Seelie Queen's plans and to keep herself from dying because of that. Right now however she was unstable and unarmed, there was very little she could do but wait for Corvo to lead her out of here and hope fresh air would clear her head a little bit.

He turned around on his heel and began to walk out. He paused momentarily and looked back at the Seelie Queen.
"May the odds be in your favour, Titania." He quoted her own benediction at her and departed, leaving with Roxanne following him. Immediately, he pulled out his phone. "Roxanne, your number? We'll need to communicate." Once she had given it over, the Inquisitor started to type out a text. He knew what she was capable of. If she could find Roxanne, she could certainly find him. That meant that he was going to have to keep any plans secret, or at least in a way that she couldn't see them. He was willing to wager that she wasn't able to read his texts. Human technology was a boon in this age, as most magic couldn't do anything about it. So far, magic and technology had remained distinct forces as far as he was aware, meaning that it was easy enough to bypass one using the other. Neither interacted, and that meant that the phone was the best way of getting around her surveillance. He finished a text and sent it off.

Seelie Queen is probably watching us both. We'll need to be careful until the Brianne situation is resolved.

"There, it should have sent." Corvo said to the other Shadow Hunter. "Here's the plan, we're going back to my apartment. I need to get in touch with Yorick and let him know that you and I are working together. Then, I'm going to need some equipment. All I say is this - I ask you to trust me." His mind whirled as he tried to come up with a reasonable plan of action. There was only one real option to this situation, and that was to fake Brianne's death. He knew a little about human medicine. Drugs existed which caused clinical death, and they could be revived from that state if they acted quick enough. That meant that he was going to have to make sure the plan went off flawlessly. He had three days. One of those he knew he would have to wait for his equipment to come through most likely, but during that time he should be able to acquire the other part of the plan. That drug. He knew that he didn't have any at Alicante, because it was a very specific requirement for a very specific type of mission. There was a nearby hospital. As most Nephilim were, he was able to Glamour himself. He could feasibly sneak inside and retrieve what he needed, then sneak out again. Then, he'd need some of his other equipment to administer it. It was going to have to be done from range, that must was clear. Now that Roxanne was available, she would be the perfect bait and so long as he didn't let her in on the plan, then she could pull off a convincing act and he severely doubted that she would go anywhere alone now that she knew he was here. One thing bugged him about this situation though, and that was the comment of the Seelie Queen. I can't imagine that should be a hindrance for you in this task. She didn't seem the type to say things meaninglessly, so what did that mean?

Rhett turned his attention away from Felicia and towards Brianne as she stormed inside the Institute angrily. He would have followed after her had he not been forced to stick by his pack as "muscle". His thoughts were interrupted with the low growl coming from one of the werewolves standing uncomfortably close behind him, causing Rhett to step forward to get some more personal space. With his mind situated back on the present, he took a short moment to process the words Felicia had said just to make sure he could recall them correctly. It would have been embarrassing to ask the girl to repeat herself just because he had been distracted.

While he could have asked her what her deal was considering she had no right to be giving attitude after making the first mistake, he figured that would have only made her grow more upset. Perhaps she was just having a really bad day. Maybe it was that time of the month. No, not the werewolf kind. The female kind. Or maybe she was just hungry. Unfortunately, he didn't bring any food with him.

    "
I don't understand what part of your plan requires you being here though." Rhett scratched the back of his head. "Look, if you want someone to look after Clarity, she's got plenty of people here willing to do that. Myself included." Just speaking the ifrit's name reminded him about the level of sass she had. Thankfully, at least half of his interactions with her were just directing her to Ash. He wondered how and why he would ever deal with a girl like her considering he never took payment from her and never once asked a favor of her.

    "
Hey, if you're so worried, why don't we work together? Two packs are stronger than one and this guy you're talking about isn't going to be the only problem. Bigger fish to fry, as they say."

Nick fliched slightly as Alarick confronted him "Woah woah slow down. I went home to get some stuff, I packed for Somalia and made sure my cat would be fed while I was gone. I'm a really indecisive packer, I spent about fifteen minutes just deciding which tie to bring. But I'm ready now" he explained convincingly, Nick was an adept at lying. He patted the luggage he carried as if reassuring Alarick "And I'm changed because there was blood all over my old clothes!" He exclaimed indignantly "I always say, whenever you're going somewhere make sure you look good" Nick then noticed a strange woman with them and looked at her quizzically "This... may be an odd question but... do you know the song 'I'm blue'?" Nick asked with a coy smirk "Nephilim. Friend. I try to stay away from alcohol. Nick. My name" he explained copying her speech patterns.

Masque was about ready to stab someone when suddenly Morrigan wrapped her arms around him. He was shocked for a moment, then instinct kicked in and was repulsed at being touched. get off me get off me get off me get off me... but while normally he hated being touched this situation was different, her words soothed him. She said just what he wanted to hear for so long.
"...thank you" he murmured. He couldn't remember the last time he'd said those words. When was the last time somebody had been nice to him?

Paragon watched the screen with a smirk. Nobody had noticed the bug he'd left in Titania's room and he watched with delight the confrontation between the queen and the inquisitor.

Doctor Bishop narrowed his eyes and sighed
"You don't seem to understand the predicament you've found yourself in. I ask a question and you answer, no matter how relevant it may be" Doctor Bishop made a gesture and a woman went into the cell from another door. She was dressed all in black and seemed humanlike, but she held a black stele. She was flanked by the two men in trenchcoats from the restaurant. "This is Black Knight. She's an expert demon hunter and knows how to make them talk. Hold still" Slavko, in chains, was unable to move away as the nephilim drew a small rune on the demon "Feel that? It should itch a bit. Every time you defy me she'll apply another one, the pain with ramp up exponentially. So, I'll ask again. What is your master's bidding?"

"Produced it." Clarity replied, but she was grinning. "Also wrote it, and dragged the singer from a crack filled alleyway. But that's a story for another time. Right now, I wanna know why-" She was cut off as she heard Brianne shouting. Shouting. The ifrit exchanged a glance with Alarick, who looked equally worried. "Nick, lovely to meet you, you're a liar, I can smell it on your breath." She reached into her pocket with some difficulty and tossed him her last stick of gum. "It's not safe to drink and hunt demons, you know. Might want to check him for demon pox. Slowly" she suggested to Alarick with a wink before striding after the female Shadowhunter.

Alarick raised his eyebrows at Clarity's comment about Nick's breath; and she was right. How could he have missed that? Because your sister is more upset then you can recall ever seeing her? Yeah, that would probably do it. He gave Nick an appraising look, one that told the other Shadowhunter they would discuss this later. He was a little hurt that Nick wasn't telling him everything, if he was honest, but that would have to wait.

He followed Clarity into the backroom where Masque had been held, sealing the door with a rune behind him. When he turned, his heart sank and his stomach tightened. Brianne was sitting on the couch, her head in her hands, sobbing. Clarity knelt in front of her, light eyes unusually solemn...and scared.

"Brianne..." he stopped as she held up a hand. Two small gashes lined the insides of her ring and middle finger. Nothing to be concerned about..except...He peered closer, then snatched her hand. Black lines spread from one of the gashes, nearly reaching the back of her hand. "Where." He said, his voice tight, his own hands shaking. His mind was a blank as he stared at the sight in front of him. "The werewolf bar on the corner of-"

"Who?" He dropped the hand as Clarity stepped forward, her eyes only on Alarick. Brianne didn't answer, clutching her hand to her chest. "Who?" He asked again, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. Still she would not answer, only confirming his suspicions. He whirled around, yanking his bo staff from its holster and striding forward. Small, wiry arms wrapped around him, a grunt of pain accompanying the action.

"Let go." Alarick said, quite calm. Clarity rested her head against his back, speaking quickly, and quietly. "You know he would never do anything to hurt you. You know I wouldn't lie to you, and I've seen the way he cares for her. They're friends, it was probably a mistake. You need to calm down Alarick, you need to think. If you hurt him, that leaves Brianne without her creator. Without her creator she will go mad, and you'll be tasked to kill her. At least with him she has a chance, Alarick." Was Clarity crying? The wet spot on his back gave him his answer. "If you do this, you damn her to a far worse fate." The arms tightened around Alarick. "You're going to find the Mother of Fairies, right? She's been around for thousands of years, since the beginning. Ask her. Maybe there's a way she can save Brianne."

Alarick paused, and slowly, his mind began to work once more, analyzing and debating the angles to everything Clarity had said. With a sharp nod, minutes later he finally slipped his bo staff back into its holster, though the pit in his stomach remained. Clarity untangled her arms, and left to sit next to Brianne. "I'm staying in New York, I'll be with her. Never leave her side." She promised the Shadowhunter, wrapping an arm around Brianne. Alarick knelt in front of his baby sister, and she touched his face with her uninjured hand, tears in her eyes. "I'll find a way to help you. I swear it." He intoned, his voice low and gravelly. "I'll never abandon you." He reached up and kissed her forehead before leaving, carelessly shattering the Containment Rune as he went. Stalking through the great hall, he ignored everyone, but
Rhett. Staring at the wolf with a look he wished would have killed, he turned and grabbed Nick. "We need to go, before I paint the walls with his blood."

The younger Shadowhunter's arm in a vice grip, he pulled him out the door and onto the road, back towards his safe house. "
Sien, let's go." He didn't wait for the mage to follow in his haste.

Morrigan offered a gentle smile towards Masque before turning to help Ash. taking the paper and some of the powder. "Vacation is a word that mundanes invented. I don't think it applies to the rest of us." she replied, focusing on the paper with her brow furrowed. "And I don't know if Gaia would have agreed to meet with us if we hadn't shown a unified front. I just....have a feeling." She started to draw the lines, being very careful not to make any mistakes. They didn't want to end up in the ocean, after all. She had the strangest idea that Masque couldn't swim.

Brianne remained in the room with Clarity for a little longer, leaning her head on the ifrit's shoulder. "You handle him well." She murmured. "It's a shame you're not his type."

"Judging by the way he was looking at Nick, I'd say I'm the entirely wrong gender." She sighed, stroking Brianne's hair with a grimace. "You know he won't make it back in time."

Brianne shut her eyes. "Yeah, I know."

In a land not so terribly far away...

Gaia rubbed the plant leaves between her fingers, the sharp scent of aloe lingering in the air as she dabbed the juice along the sunburned back of a child. "Mahadsanid." The child said in her small voice, to which Gaia responded with a smile and a pat on the girl's head. As the girl scampered off, she dipped her hands in the nearby river, letting the cool water run them clean.

To the humans who lived here, she was a kind woman who knew a little about plants, and stopped by to help them. She was glamoured to mimic their own physiology, though her own skin was much lighter, and her hair a different texture. She would stand out much more in her actual form then the one she now carried, and though she didn't think the locals would mind, Gaia had decided that centuries of being worshipped as a goddess left little in the way of actual human interaction. And though they were human, she couldn't help but feel a mothering instinct towards them.

Leaving a basket of potatoes and carrots with one of the women, Gaia made her way back towards the Seelie Court. It wasn't the original, nor was it as fine as the one she had left behind, but she found the naturalist take was much more to her liking. Her people, a combination of fey and Downworlders had built their homes into the giant trees that reached above the earth, ensuring they would never be found, if they didn't want to be.

Pausing by a tree, Gaia pressed her hands to the trunk, accelerating the growth of the already mammoth plant. It shot up, the wood creaking as it expanded much more quickly then the years it would have taken. She smiled, turning away as the tree continued to grow in the form she wished, that of another house, though vacant. After all, they would need a place for their guests of honor to stay.

Well at least someone was at lest trying to understand what was going on and asking about it. Even better Athelrick had shown his face once more and helped take his share of the blame and offered to take care of the problem with this Inquisitor. Well that was good thing but she still figured she should explain to the other alpha what was going on. "The reason I need to be here is because Clarity came here for a job to reunite him" She indicated to Athelrick "with his friend. She snuck into the building while I made a distraction. After we got his friend out someone came into the room and was shooting at Clarity so I went in while everyone else left her. It was the damn inquisitor and he was torturing her for information on who hired her. To keep her safe and him safe I told the inquisitor I hired her to help me take this place as my own. I had enough werewolves coming to scare him away. So where the fact I need to be here comes into play is that as long as the inquisitor sees that this place is run by werewolves he won't pursue and try to question Clarity again any time soon, at least until he deals with me. This keeps both of them safe until I can get a pack together to take care of him. If I leave I can't fortify my current hide out as well as I can here. I can be more prepared and keep them all safer here, if I have to leave though I will, as long as we can make sure the inquisitor doesn't come back for Athelrick and Clarity. I am too far involved in this mess to just walk away completely though." Felicia finally finished her explanation and let out a long sigh. She just hoped that he would understand it.

There was also talk of working together with his band of werewolves
. "I would be willing to consider it if someone bothered to explain exactly what this thing is. I will work with you if you tell me what is going on. If not, why should I bother. And perhaps you would be willing to make more permanent arrangements. Combine our packs and I would make you beta. Though you don't have to take my offer at least consider it. We could make a great team if you allow it." Felicia offered in a more friendly tone than she had been talking to most others. Perhaps that was because Rhett was the only one that bothered to be friendly towards her.

Roxanne kept her head low as she followed Corvo out. She did as he asked and gave him her phone number and soon after read the text that he had sent her. She looked at it and then back up at Corvo giving him a slight nod. She didn't know what to think of everything now. The Queen told Corvo to kill Brianne and he agreed. Roxanne didn't want to get involved in this but now she had no choice not only was Corvo holding her crimes over her head, but now The Seelie Queen was threatening her life as well. She didn't have much choice of what she would do and get involved in, but she wished she did.

The worst part of this was that he asked her to trust him. How could she trust him? He had given her no reason to trust him. He had kidnapped her, hurt her, promised to help her friend, then promised to kill the same person. Now he wanted her to trust him. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't left with much choice though. She had to at least stick with him for the time being.
"Okay." Was all Roxanne could manage to respond as she followed Corvo. She kept her phone clutched tight in hand. Part of her wanted to text Brianne, but part of her feared the consequences.

Slavko rolled his eyes at the so called Black Knight entered the cell. She drew a rune on him that he could feel the effect but it didn't bother him too much. Even still he supposed he could give up his mission. It wasn't that big of a deal, no information he was sure they didn't already know. "My mission is the same old boring thing that most higher demons have. Bring the world to it's knees under the control of demons through force and destruction. Same it has been for centuries, and same as it will be until it comes to pass. Though I am sure you already know this. I mean after all you do have an expert demon hunter." Slavko's tone was almost mocking as he spoke to them. Though the information was true and about all they would get from him until they learned to ask the right questions, which he doubted they ever would.

"Vacation is a word Rhett uses quite often. I don't believe I've ever given him one." Perhaps working with Rhett, even for such a short time, had allowed for some of the wolf's personality to rub off on him. Ash shook his head at the thought and continued on his work. He traced his finger along the wall, not needing to take a second look at the spell he had drawn on the paper. It was his spell. There was no need for him to look at it as he had long since memorized every minute detail of it. Though it appeared that the basin did not have enough "ink" to last them through the entire drawing, the oil which they used never dropped below half its initial volume.

    "
I wonder what she is like. If she has been revered so, then I doubt she could have been anything but benevolent during her rule." His black eyes fell upon Morrigan, a feeling of content washing over him, knowing that as long as she was by his side there was the chance all of this could turn out for the better. He took a deep breath when his eyes returned to the almost-blank canvas before him. "Somalia seems like a strange place for her to reside in. I wonder if she would be willing to answer the questions I have for her. Especially considering the fact that we need her to stop her own daughter." From one so old there was an endless amount of questions that could be answered had they the time. Perhaps, when all was said and done, there would be another chance in the future to speak to her provided she would be willing.

Ash looked at his black fingertips and over at
Morrigan. A completely childish thought came to mind no doubt due to the influence of Rhett's positive and strange attitude. "It would be a welcome change of scenery to return to Scotland. And after that..." He glanced Morrigan's way. "Ireland. Retiring may not be in my nature but I suppose you could convince me otherwise." Reaching towards the basin once more to coat his fingertip, he accidentally touched her cheek, marking it in ink. Ash did not say a word as he went on to continue writing out the multitude of complex runes that comprised his spell but he showed the faintest smile.

"Gonna have to decline that offer, sorry. I could make you my beta though." He joked, though he had a feeling Felicia might not appreciate his humor. The infinitesimal amount that his mood had risen suddenly dropped to a new low as Alarick stepped out into view, his eyes filled with hate as the Shadowhunter glared at Rhett. He knew exactly what that was about and it only made him all the more anxious to get this conversation done and over with to rush to Brianne's side. "Look, the Clave is hunting Downworlders and others allied with them--I'm sure you know that now--but there's going to be hell when Seelie Knights get involved. The Queen is angry and it won't be long before no one is safe. Sticking around the Institute is only going to make the nephilim around here unwilling to work with you leaving you and us with less allies than we'd all like." He spoke quickly, slowly inching towards the very door he had seen Alarick walk out of.

"Athelrick and Clarity will be taken care of but there's only so much anyone can do against the bloodbath that's coming. The Institute just might end up being the worst place to stay." Rhett headed toward the door. "If you'll excuse me..." He stopped for a moment before turning towards Felicia realizing that he had never even introduced himself to the werewolf. "I'm Rhett, by the way. I need to...uh...do something but if you're still around when I get back then I'll take it as a sign that maybe you're not that salty. Try to think of a better place to hang out than here. I'm sure there's an abandoned building or two that could house a few dozen werewolves without being the target on everyone's radar." Taking another step towards the door, he decided to leave his pack to watch Felicia's though he knew there would be little need to as it seemed that she did not want to pick a fight...at least not at this moment. He was sure that if she had anything else to say the other people around could keep her company. His mind was too busy focusing on Brianne to make a good conversationalist.

Without another word, he left, heading towards the back of the Institute where he found both Brianne and Clarity. Just seeing Brianne so distraught left a pit in his stomach. He stood at the entryway with a complete loss for words as he stared at the girl. What was there to say? He cleared his throat, hoping for words to come but nothing escaped his lips but an empty sigh. With the way Alarick had looked at him and what he overheard the Shadowhunter say, because of his powerful sense of hearing, he wondered if he deserved to have Brianne forgive him. Assuming that she ever would. "Hey..."

Corvo led her through the streets of New York towards his hotel room. He was silent for the remainder of the trip, becoming increasingly paranoid about the Seelie Queen's powers of observation. He knew that she was watching. She had to be watching. The same way that she had watched Brianne. He had to move quickly to get this off his head. He had made a mistake going to her, and now he was paying for it. Although, it wasn't exactly his choice. After all, the Seelie Knights found him. This place... This place was far, far more dangerous than he had realised. This city was more treacherous than any that he had yet visited. He resisted the urge to clasp and unclasp his hands rapidly. There was another Nephilim here and he had to show absolute confidence and authority. When they made it to the hotel, he nodded to the receptionist to exist they existed and then went to the elevator. He hit the button for his floor, then waited impatiently for the elevator to rise. It dinged, and he stormed out of the lift towards his room. He swiped it with his key and opened it, allowed Roxanne inside and as soon as he was inside, slammed the door behind him. He crossed the room swiftly and picked up the magic mirror that he used to contract Yorick.
"I'm updating the Clave on our situation. I'm going to let them know you're working with me. Whatever it is you've done, that'll keep them off your back for at least a while." He explained. "Feel free to take a seat." There were a couple of chairs at a table on one side of the room. His bed was scattered with his various personal effects, mostly clothes, though the neat boxes for his Contender and the Magic Mirror lay there as well. He activated the communication device.
"Yorick, this is Corvo. Things have taken a turn for the worse here in New York. I require more of my equipment back at Alicante. This operation is going to be a lot more complicated than I initially anticipated to be." He spoke officially in a crisp tone of voice. "I'll need my crossbow. Send all the bolts. I get the impression that I'll either make use of some of them, or die before I get back. It's one of those jobs. Make sure you send the silver, and the iron bolts. I think that I have a case of Rowanwood stakes for my crossbow somewhere. And... Depending on how this goes, I might need reinforcements. This isn't going to be easy." Once he finished listing off what he wanted, he remembered that Roxanne was here.
"Also, Roxanne of the New York Institute is working with me."

Yorick listened to Corvo's requests with an impassive face before nodding slowly. "Luckily, Inquisitor, I happened to foresee this turn of events after Alarick failed to deliver Masque." He turned to face Corvo. "I shall have your armaments delivered before the morning. I will personally see that they get there. As for Roxanne joining you...." he nodded. "This is good. But I must be the bearer of bad news." He stroked his beard before letting his hand drop.

"I have been advised of your current predicament. I would advise you complete the assassination of Brianne Lightwood as quickly as possible, in order to appease our Downworlder allies. Brianne has broken the Accords both knowingly and unknowingly, but that is beside the point now. Within three days she will no longer be a Nephilim, and to kill her then would be to break the Accords ourselves. You must be swift,
Corvo." He paused. "And make sure to take the silver bullets." He waved his hand over the mirror, and turned to his assistant. "Ready my things, and ensure the weapons are packed appropriately. I expect to be in New York before dawn."

Luce looked at Yorick with a smile. "At once, sir." She bowed from the waist before moving away. Yorick had the foresight to have packed Corvo's necessary weapons, minus one thing. Luce didn't understand why Yorick had been so adamant that the iron bullets be removed, but she had done as her master had asked. After all, to disobey him was to disobey the Clave, now.

And Luce had higher aspirations then simply being the assistant to the leader of the Nephilim.

Clarity looked up at the sound of Rhett's voice, feeling Brianne tense next to her. She didn't say anything, didn't need to as she stood up, brushing Brianne's hair back from her face before striding to the werewolf. If she had been in better shape, she would have punched him. As it was, she grabbed his collar, pulling him to an inch from her own face. She could smell the scent of blood, but it was no longer a danger to anyone in the room. Her eyes burned as she stared up at the werewolf.

"What the fuck have you done?" She whispered, no venom in her voice, but no pity either. She was angry, and scared. Angry for Brianne, and scared for both Brianne and Rhett. There were going to be major consequences for her friends...if Brianne even survived. "What did you
do, Rhett?" She dropped him, shoving him back and gasping at the pressure it put on her still healing ribs. "Do you understand what I had to do to make sure Alarick didn't try to murder you then and there? I had to lie to him. Do you know what happens when you lie to Alarick Lightwood?" There were tears in her eyes now, but she dashed them aside, gritting her teeth. "The virus has spread from her finger to her hand, in the span of an hour. What do you think is going to happen when it makes it to the veins in her wrists? To her aorta?" She paused, glancing back at the girl in question.

"What have you done?" She repeated in a whisper.

Brianne ignored Clarity, ignored Rhett, ignored the pain her chest or the headache in her skull. She stared at the blackened veins in her finger, watching as it slowly, inch by inch, spread to her hand. If she would guess how much time she had left.....two days? Two days, when I used to have a life time. The only gratification was that Alarick wouldn't be here to see it happen, or Nick. At least they didn't have to see her that way.

"Ah thank you Yorick. I'll look forward to receiving -" He expected this? And worse, there was the idea of bad news. He visibly tensed, his paranoia spinning into overdrive. He gritted his teeth and waited to hear what was happening. What Yorick said made him stumble backwards with the gravity of it. He knows about what the Seelie Queen said to me? It continued to get worse. "What? How is that possible? How can Brianne stop being a Nephilim? Was it a vampire? A werewolf? Did they bite her? Is she really beyond help?" Yorick had no answer, and he was left with the advice to take the silver bullets. That was a given, he could be dealing with werewolves. If one of them had got to Brianne, surely she would be seeking help already? What was happening? He looked at Roxanne, an obviously troubled expression on his face. He stepped backwards and sat down on the face, looking around the room. The Seelie Queen. Yorick. They knew everything. She was watching. And she was reporting to Yorick. And he wanted him to kill his fellow Shadow Hunter. Was it a mercy? He looked at Roxanne and placed his hand on the gun in his coat. She heard everything. She'll try to stop me at any cost. She'll try to protect her. The Inquisitor was stuck for once. He had received direct orders from a ranking member of the Council, yet... He didn't want to do it. And yet... It was never an easy choice to enact judgement on a fellow Nephilim. He clenched his left fist. He watched Roxanne intently. He couldn't trust anything right now. The Seelie Queen and Yorick... This was not according to plan at all. What was happening here?
"There's more going on here that I realised..." He spoke, his eyes fixed on Roxanne. He was tense. Ready to move. If anything happened. Anything. He was on edge. Suddenly, things seemed a lot more complicated than before.

Nick scoffed as Clarity accused him of lying "I said I try to stay away from alcohol. I never said I have very good self-control" he smirked. Then they left, and some stuff happened. Nick went and made himself a cup of tea and sipped it slowly, staring curiously at everyone else. Just as he finished, Alarick rushed out and grabbed him by the arm. He was about to make some sassy remark until he saw the look on Alarick's face and decided to shut up. what did the werewolf do? I really hope Alarick calms down before somebody gets hurt. he thought, as he unquestioningly followed Nick

"Good, thank you" the doctor said as he noted something down "Just as we expected, yes. But I always like to make sure. Do you know of the demon..." Doctor Bishop peered at the paper at a word and sounded it out with his lips to try and work out how to pronounce the name "'Abyzathilad?' Currently goes by the name 'Gord'?"

Somewhere else in the city there lay an illustrious dining hall of an expensive hotel. The man, who went by the name "Gord Gottwell" had hired out this particular venue for himself and a group of friends and explicitly asked to be left in complete privacy. The staff had left long ago, and were paranoid about what the hell could be going in there. If they only knew. The ambiance of conversation filled the dining hall as Gord's friends sat and feasted upon what their illustrious host had provided. They were made up of werewolves, vampires, warlocks, all manner of demon spawn, and the man himself sat at the very head of the table in the largest chair the hotel could provide. He gazed upon his feast of decadence with a wide grin, but it was far from friendly. Gord checked his watch and nodded. It was time for the speech. Slowly, the hulking figure stood up. His shirt barely fit around his large belly, and his jacket was far too small, but somehow he still radiated authority. Despite the generally greasy look, his eyes spoke volumes of potential, as if one conversation with him could bring you wealth, health and happiness. He waited two seconds, then cleared his throat. Abruptly, the crowd stopped eating, wiped their mouths with serviettes, and paid attention to their host.
"My friends!" he greeted. Two second wait before speaking again "I hope you are enjoying the feast! You may have noticed this is fresh meat, as opposed to last time when we had to defrost it first" he grinned, and left four seconds for the crowd to laugh at his joke "Yes, the tyrrany of the shadowhunters is no more, they are in tatters. Dissent amongst their own agents, and all of them in the palm of the Seelie Queen. We need not fear them anymore! And thus, our hungers can be sated far easier" four seconds for the crowd to nod and chatter in agreement "A toast. To the fall of the nephilim, and the rise of the demons" Gord raised a goblet of thick red liquid and the crowd did so too echoing his sentiment. He returned to his seat and the hubbub returned. Satisfied his crowd were happy, he began to cut into the meat and gorge himself on the steak that lay before him. He could taste the freshness. It tasted of fear and pain in the last moments of death. Humanity... so delicious.

A lot happened, Brianne going ballistic for example and storming out of the room, seeing Clarity and Alarick went after her he didn't go. He had to wonder though, what had caused her to react like that? Well that was being taken care of and well there were people more quallified and who knew her better to look after her, no matter how curious he was. Rhett didn't seem to understand the simply idea for protection relied on you physicly being there to protect the person. Rhett also mentioned bigger fish to fry, bigger problems than the Inquisitor? Well that wasn't really his problem now was it? He would worm his way out if he did get caught up in it.

    Aethel listened attentively to
Felicia's narration of what had happened. The gaps were filled in and he now had a full account of what had been going on. "He'll come back for me, I can practicly guarantee it, Felicia." Aethel said "But I don't need the protection, I can take care of myself. Pick my time to fight given the chance. Run, hide, it'll be fine." He told her, the offer she made Rhett wasn't a very great plan and the wolf declined it, Aethel only smiled a little at this, was she new to being Alpha? everyone fought for their place, merging the packs would see a good bit of conflict as they established the new order within the pack before everything would run smoothely. Rhett disappeared and he was left with Felicia, realising he still had the liverwurst in hand he cut of a small piece of it for himself to snack on, before offering some to Felicia "You want some?" He asked politely "So what will you do now? I mean I appreciate the offer for protection but I can handle myself keeping myself around you lot will only give you more trouble than it's worth." He said, knowing full well that she might be pissy with him over his little outburst earlier, then again that wasn't anger at all atleast not intended to be, merely stating cold hard facts.

Sien's attempt to get a better understanding on what was going about as well as one could expect given that there were still some information that he was lacking and thus had to assume to have in fit. Needless to say, it wasn't going all that well, so he decided to put this on hold for the time being. For right now he needed to deal with the fact that something had upset Alarick. Sien wasn't sure just what it was that had upset him, but he knew it must have been something big given the expression his face. "Did something happen?" Sien attempted to asked while following behind the nephilim.

The talk between Rhett and Felicia had gone without any fight breaking out which was a good thing, but there was another issue now. After seeing both Alarick and Rhett run off towards the room that Brianne had gone to early. He was right, there was something wrong with her. It must have something to do with why her arm was trembling back at the bar. Creed certainly didn't know just what had happened back then and he wasn't trained to be able to figure out on his own either, but what he did know was that he was going to help her. Not right now though, he got the feeling that this wasn't exactly the best time for that.

Instead he choose to speak with Felicia.
"So, just how long have you been here?" Creed asked. There wasn't a particular reason behind him asking this, just a mixture of curiosity and him just asking the first thing that he could think of.

"I will make you a deal. When this is all over we will have a duel. Whoever wins is the Alpha, the other the beta. Fair way to decide it I would say." Felicia replied To Rhett joking about being the Alpha. She wasn't going to give up her spot easily but if this is what it took to build the pack to it's former glory, she supposed she could live with disappointing her master who was no longer around to judge anyhow.

Rhett went on to explain the situation and Felicia listened intently. So the world had officially completely gone to hell had it? It was a long time coming, but she didn't expect it so soon after coming out of hiding. "If that is the case then I would say you guys could use as much help as you could get, and I would rather make allies and not enemies. I will give you a hand in whatever way I could, for everyone's sake." Felicia replied to Rhett once again. She listened to the rest of what he had to say before she watched him walk away, turning her attention now to Althelrick. But not before shouting her name after Rhett.

"Thanks." Felicia took the offered piece of liverwurst and started eating it. "Well currently he has no proof from what I can tell that you are here. But when he finds out then I am sure you can take care of yourself." She replied. She didn't really know this shadow hunter, and thus didn't overly care what happened to him for the most part. Still part of her wanted to do her part in keeping him as safe as she could without stepping between him and a bullet.

"What will I do now? I don't know, wait for Rhett, leave and then find a way to keep the downworlders safe from the wrath of the Seelie Queen and the Clave. Don't think I will be staying completely out of this mess. I don't think any of us can afford to stay out of it, if we do then the world might just go to hell. Stick together and we may have a chance at stopping it. However we will see how that goes." Felicia replied running her fingers though her hair. It was true, this was a mess, a mess she didn't know if she was the best equipped to deal with. She would see what she was able to do though, she could just sit and watch as the world went to hell after all.

    It was then that the
other man in the room decided to speak up and talk with her. His question was an odd one but she supposed she should answer. "If you mean how long I have been hanging around the institute, only a few hours. Though if you are asking about New York in general, my entire bloody life." She responded. The question was useless at best but it didn't matter too much, just all friendly banter that might help them all feel better. She would play along if she must.

Roxanne had taken a seat in the room on one of the chairs and waited. She simply sat in silence and waited because there was nothing else that she could do. She listened as Corvo listed off what he needed still holding on to the notion that maybe he wouldn't go through with killing Brianne. She was listening to the conversation before the words she dreaded hearing came up again. He was ordered to kill Brianne. She could feel a nervous shake hit her body as her phone slid from her hands and hit the floor. While Corvo yelled at the mirror, at Yorick looking for answers, Roxanne simply let the state of panic overcome her. There was no use fighting it anymore. Yorick had received reports of the conversation with the Seelie Queen. This probably also meant that he had heard word of her crimes. Surely when Brianne was dealt with he would want her taken out as well. Why would he want to keep her around, especially when she couldn't control her mental state well enough to keep control and not break the Accords.

Roxanne covered her face as panic wrapped itself around her mind and froze her body in place. She couldn't loose anyone else, and she couldn't be a part of helping kill her.
"Please." She was almost surprised when her voice came out a sob. "Don't hurt her! You promised not to! Hand me back to the Queen if you want! Just don't hurt my friend." Roxanne begged. Brianne, Nick and Hendrick had become all she had to hold onto and she didn't want to lose any of them. She didn't want to let go that easily. And she defiantly wouldn't have their blood staining her hands. "Please." She begged once more, this time her voice a lot softer as she felt like she was going numb. She didn't move or remove her hands from her face. She simply sat there, shaking as her long hair drifted in front of her hands and face making Roxanne look like as much of a mess as she felt.

"Don't know. Don't care." Slavko passed off the question. He didn't really care to get to know any of the other demons truth be told. He found them so dull. He couldn't play with their emotions in the way that he liked to, so he never interacted with them unless he had to. The worst part of them catching him and questioning him so far is that they seemed only interested in other demons. That almost wounded his pride a little. They could at least worry a little about what he was doing. Was that so hard?
