"I wouldn't say I know a lot about food, just enough to know what wine should go with us..... Actually that is a lie, I asked the waitress who asked the cook who knew all about it. They are just going to make the food and deliver the wines that match with it to us. I was just trying to be impressive to be honest." Slavko admitted with a slight chuckle. "I am no where near that sophisticated." He stated. Then the topics of movies came up. "I don't think you could ever complain about a star wars movie, it just isn't possible. I liked the character of Rey, and the little thing she had going with Finn. It was kind of cute I must admit, and Finn wasn't half bad looking either." Slavko chuckled. "Have you ever seen the movie V for Vendetta. That is one of my personal favourites. Sometimes I like movies that provide a little bit of commentary on civilization, what we think and feel and how we can follow something so blindly until one event changes all that."

"So broken? What do you mean?" Corvo asked. Apparently, the Queen knew something he didn't and by the sounds of it, it was something that he should have been told but wasn't. He had a feeling that the number of things of that nature was only going to increase over the coming days. He dismissed her comment about breaking him. "More than you realise, Titania. I must confess I wonder the same thing about you. Being Queen for hundreds of years must wear terribly on the soul."
"The Rune of Judgement has found her guilty. That means that she needs to be returned to Alicante for proper judgement. For now, I entrust her in your care. But first..."
As if on cue, the girl woke up and she didn't waste any time in being offensive and making demands. He crossed his hands over his chest and tutted at her as if she was a naughty child.
"Roxanne, that is no way to talk to a fellow Shadow Hunter is it?" He said admonishingly. He flipped out her phone. "We need to have a talk first, then I'll let you go. You see, there are a few questions I need to ask you. First amongst them, what's the passcode for your phone? I'm going to give you the same choice as I did someone else earlier, the easy way or the hard way. Judging by the look on the face and the screams of the person who chose the hard way, it was the single most painful mistake of their existence. As a Shadow Hunter, I can inscribe several Runes on to your body safely, rather than risking it with Downworlders. What this means, Roxanne, is that I can make you wish you were dead. That you had never been born."
"Second question, what do you know about the plot against the Clave? Don't bother lying to me girl, I'll know if you do."
Corvo flipped out his Stele and began to spin it around his fingers, his cold eyes watching her on the table.

"And you kidnapping a fellow shadowhunter is any better than what I have to say?" She spit back. Probably not the smartest idea given her predicament, but she couldn't help herself. There were times that words just came from her mouth without her thinking of what she was saying, this was one of these times. Roxanne stared straight at Corvo, hate in her eyes, that was until he took her phone out. Her eyes then flicked down as she grit her teeth. There was nothing she hated more than people having her phone.

"Give it back! Give it back!" She demanded. Despite the threats he was making, all she could think of is how much she didn't want him seeing things she kept hidden on her phone. The locked screen was already a picture of a cute baby girl, her little sister. The only family she had left alive, but the child was taken from her and she wasn't allowed to see her. However to Roxanne that wasn't the worst of things she kept on her phone. If accessed, the background was a picture of her previous fiance, and in her text long was a great deal of text messages she had saved from the two of them talking. In there was everything from the good mushy days, to her worst days. He talked her through all of it. She didn't want anyone to see that. It meant everything to her. She was not going to give him her password. As for the other question however...

Through angry, shaky breath Roxanne tried to focus her brain enough to speak properly.
"I don't know anything about the plot. I swear. I wanted no part of anything that was going on, I don't even quite understand it. I just wanted my routine back... I just needed something familiar, and you stopped even that! You b*stard." She could't keep her temper in check it seemed and she knew that was a mistake, but her mind was already breaking. She couldn't focus properly or think clearly. She thought she had started to calm herself down after the chaos of the last couple days, but that was going down hill quickly it seemed. She hadn't got full control again when all this happened, and now she was losing it.

Nick smiled at Ryan "I haven't seen that movie, but I will now" he said.

And so the date went on, and Nick truly enjoyed himself. They talked about life in general, and hobbies. When Ryan tried to bring the subject to family, Nick gently steered the conversation away onto lighter subjects. Hours went by, they had a wonderful meal (which the cook recommended) and even had dessert.

Suddenly, Nick looked at his watch
"Oh, is that the time?" he said loudly. Two men entered the restaurant, clad in black and stood by Nick's side "Oh hello! Nice of you to join us. Please, meet my friend. He calls himself Ryan Reynolds but that's not his real name. He's a demon, aren't you Ryan?" Nick suddenly turned on Slavko with a smirk and a glare of fire "We first met in a motel and I killed him. He came back obviously and tried to trick me again, I was almost fooled. He underestimates me greatly. Anyway, my friends, I believe you wanted a demon?" the men were dressed in long trench coats, they could have any weapon under there
"Come along then, date's over, it's time for you to be heading home" one of the men told the demon in a threatening tone "Come out with us, we'll walk you home. It can be dangerous out there"

"Well I'm glad that's how it turned out" Masque replied "I don't like killing. Well, I don't like it after I've done it. But sometimes I just need to express violent urges. I can't control it! I do want to make the world a brighter place but it's so hard"

Corvo sighed and threw his Stele up into the air and caught it with a swift hand. He shook his head at her.
"Roxanne, I'm the Inquisitor." He replied simply, allowing that to sink in. "Now, you told me that something was going on, and there's something on your phone. I'm going to give you a little bit of encouragement, and then I'd like you to tell me." He'd start with her leg, and he wouldn't Amplify it. There was no need to resort to that quite yet. After witnessing its effect on Clarity, he wanted to make sure that she was capable of speech. It was always annoying when they refused to talk like this. The Rune of Pain was completed on her left thigh and he folded his arms behind her back, watching how she reacted to the pain that she was going to be experiencing.
"Roxanne, I have the power to do that again. I also have an Amplification Rune, and a Cancellation Rune. I can remove a Rune and put it back on Amplify it as many times as I'd like." Corvo explained calmly, looking her in the eye as he spoke. "So I will ask you a second time. What is your passcode, and what is going on with the plot? Even if you don't understand it fully, I'd like you to tell me everything you know." The Inquisitor paced around the room and added something as an aside before she could speak.
"And I know you've been a bad girl Roxanne. I know you broke the Accords." He spoke, his voice becoming menacing. "That means that you need to be punished. Of course, if you were to give me the information I'm looking for I can always reduce your punishment. After all, you're aiding the Inquisitor in the course of justice. I think you're a reasonable girl underneath all that brash anger, and I think that we'll come to a good understanding. Won't we Roxanne?" The question was very much rhetorical.

"So keep to ourselves then, I can handle that much." Creed said following Rhett's explanation of what they were going to be doing. It sounded easy enough, well the keep out of trouble part anyway. Though much he couldn't promise that he would do something should something arise. That said though if things didn't come to that, then there wouldn't be much to worry about from his end anyway.

Creed wasn't sure what Brianne meant when she warned him not to drink the liquor. It wasn't like he actually planned on drinking any in the first place. While Rhett convince the doorman to let them in, Creed continued with his relaxed appearance as he followed behind them.

It appeared to be just one thing after another as they arrived at the Institute. It had been some time since the last time Sien had been here, but it wasn't long enough for it to start looking like the way it did. nor for it for become a small den for werewolves. Alarick had asked for any suggestions on the matter at hand and Aethelrick was the first to come up with something. "We could try splitting them up while driving them out." That was pretty much the best that he could come up with.

Titania laughed as Corvo commented on the burden of ruling. She was saved the trouble of causing the Nephilim emotional turmoil with her response by the girl waking up. The Seelie Queen relished the emotions she saw ruling the girl's eyes; so much pain and despair. She would have been much happier with a challenge, but never let it be said that she looked every gift horse in the mouth. Especially those that were rabid.

    "Oh
Inquisitor, if only you had been born into the right species." She purred, drifting to the other side of the table to watch. There was no reason for her to interfere, and really, she was entertained simply by watching. After all, the best kind of spectators made plans while they played at being bystanders. And Titania had thousands of years of experience in pretending.

Clarity tensed when Ash touched her. "Sorry, but I missed the part where you became my dad." She hissed, pulling away from the warlock and wincing as she hoisted herself off the table. "Have fun on your trip. Sleep around. Get drunk. Have fun. I have work to do." She waved a hand at the warlock before strolling out of the room as quickly as her injuries would allow, shoving open the door and stepping outside.

She waited until she was a few blocks down, in an abandoned alley before she turned and punched the wall, gritting her teeth as it pulled on her broken ribs. Always leaving. Why am I never worth staying behind for? She would never have admitted these words out loud, and especially not to the
warlock who had pretty much raised her. Because he always left, and even if he had returned in the past, there was always the chance he wouldn't. And she would never get used to it.

Yanking out her cracked cell phone, she sent a message to Alarick, and blinked when she quickly received a reply. "It seems I am needed after all." she muttered, giving the wall one more resounding punch before she left.

Alarick smiled grimly at the response he received from Clarity. "I swear, every time Brianne takes a step she lands into a deeper hell. Angel only knows what would happen if she deserted her post and went to Somalia in my place." Though now that he thought about it, it was very likely Brianne was no longer considered the Head of the New York Institute. He smiled to himself as he imagined the Clave appointing a new Head, only to find them returned in badly broken condition.

None of them would give up New York without a decent fight. Even though Alarick had only been in and out of the city every so often, it was Brianne's home, and it was best she remained away from Alicante. Those two things were enough for Alarick to determine it was worth giving every ounce of extra energy into keeping her here.

A short amount of time later because Magick cannot keep writing filler~

    Clarity arrived, nodding briefly to
Aethelrick before staring at Sien, and finally turning her gaze to Alarick. "Good to see you in one piece." He commented, to which she inclined her head. "Could say the same of you. I should start handing out a waiver when I take on clients." She narrowed her eyes at Aetherick before running her hands through her hair with a wince. "Right. Well I'm missing two knives, and my sword. I want them back. If the Inquisitor doesn't have them, they'll be in there."

Without waiting for Alarick, she turned and strolled up to the wolves at the door. "Hey gorgeousness." She addressed the one on the left. "Love to stay and chat, but I'm in a hurry to speak with
Felicia. You know, your Alpha?" She smiled sweetly. "Yeah, so I need to talk to her. Like now." Patting the werewolf's cheek, she turned to walk inside as Alarick watched, half amused while he remained in position. Leave it to Clarity to walk into the wolves' den without the slightest bit of fear.

Morrigan perched on the edge of a chair, her braid falling over one shoulder. "Couldn't you channel that into protecting something, or someone?" She asked the warlock softly, one hand reaching up to twist a stray hair around her finger. "When I was dying, I tried to fight for my life, because I realized I wanted to find freedom, maybe love, one day. And then when I wanted to give up again, when I thought all was lost, I had someone remind me..." She grimaced at the painful memory of Ash wrapping his hands around her throat. That would be one for the nightmares.

"And now I have more reasons to fight then I know what to do with." She finally said, shrugging. "Is it possible that you could find a reason to fight, but not to kill? Just to protect that reason?"

Brianne raised her eyebrows at Rhett's suggestion of a suggestion, but didn't pursue the matter. She had too much going on right now to try and complicate anything else. "You probably shouldn't throw that around. It's only a matter of time before someone like Kellar or worse hears you bragging and decides to take you on." She warned the werewolf, skirting the door man with a wide berth.

Just because she was a trusting person didn't mean she explicably trusted all Downworlders. Especially with the challenge to kill all Shadowhunters still fresh in her mind. "Right, so where do we go from here?" She asked, eyes narrowing as she examined the bar area. She didn't plan on drinking, if only to keep the two males in her company out of trouble. Her eyes trailed to
Creed to make sure he was keeping up with them alright before scanning the room for trouble.

Felicia was exhausted and her shoulder was in pain, but finally challengers had stopped stepping up for the time being. They left her alone at last seeing that she could take down anyone that they threw her way. She would still fight if she had to, but fighting was one thing she didn't care to do right now. They all knew better by this point in time. Felicia sat on the floor, back pressed against the wall as she nursed her wound once again. It stung like hell and probably would do better with stitches, but she didn't care enough for that. She just needed to make sure it was clean and wrapped.

As the door to the training room opened Felicia instinctively went for a knife, however she soon laid eyes on who it was.
"Couldn't stay away from me? Your did your warlock friend patch you up and kick you out." Felicia asked. When it came to mentioning Ash, he tone was slightly bitter. "I highly doubt you stopped by just to say hi, so what is it that you want?" She asked Clarity knowing the girl well enough that she probably had other motives.

The man's position meant nothing to Roxanne. She had no interest in who had what rule in Alicante, she simple followed the pecking order in her institute, as in Brianne's rule, and even that was only to some extent. The man going around gloating about his title didn't mean anything to her. And then there was him thinking what she said was any sort of information but he didn't under stand it, he didn't understand what she meant at all.

The pain rune was drawn onto her skin and Roxanne began to squirm around in her invisible restraints as the pain grew in her leg. A small whine came from her throat as she squirmed and the
inquisitor demanded answers once again, adding on a threat of more pain. He also made a comment about her breaking Accords. She hadn't thought she had, but now that she thought of it, in her desperation to escape everything she had not hunted an assigned target because that would require going to Brianne for an assignment and she couldn't bring herself to do that. On top of it she did break the order from the Clave to stick with another Shadow hunter under their supervision at all times. "I didn't mean to break the Accords." Roxanne let out another small whimper before she continued to speak. "Make it stop. I swear I didn't mean to. I-I wasn't thinking clearly." She said not sure if anyone would take that as a valid excuse.

"I don't know any plans against the clave. All I know is that they are trying to keep the downworlders safe. They don't want to see them get hurt, so they gathered them. I don't know anything else. Just make it stop." She begged, still avoiding giving the passcode to her cellphone. She did not want to share that information no matter what, but she feared if the Inquisitor pushed it too much further she would have to. The another thought crossed her mind. What if this was Slavko, back to torment her? "J-just stop ruining my life!" Roxanne yelled at the inquisitor, now having it in her mind that he was her worst enemy.
Slavko had honestly enjoyed himself at dinner, even with ulterior motives playing in the back of his mind. Most of the time when he tricked people, it was a one night stand, quick and meaningless, and ended up with the person dead. This time since he planned to draw out the suffering, he had time to actually enjoy himself slightly, but only slightly.

As dinner came to a close
Nick seemed ready to leave. Slavko was about to offer to walk him to his car when two men entered. So this was a trap all along was it? Shedding the body he had been using, Slavko stepped out and looked at the three men. "Very clever of you boy, but you think it would be that easy?" He asked as he pulled out his chain blade and with a flick of his wrist flicked it at a waitress, not killing her but injuring her and keeping her at his mercy. "Move any closer to me, and she dies. All it takes is me to pull." Slavko threatened as he slowly walked towards the girl and away from the three men, heading for his escape.

Aethelrick chuckled at Alarick's remark regarding Brianne's luck. "Wouldn't be entirely impossible to be captured by those damn pirates. If she's lucky that is." Aethel offered, then again he was very much aware of the fact that it was a rhetorical question. After some more standing around and attempting to look pretty which wasn't something that worked out particularly well for Aethelrick since he wasn't getting any younger. Then he was surprised by Clarity joining them. "Cyrus will be happy to hear you got out, he was a wee bit pissed when I told him." Aethelrick said, he caught her narrowing her eyes at him. "Hey, I only did exactly as you told me." He said shrugging, watching as she went over to the Institute, he took out his phone and texted Cyrus the news. She's alright, Cyrus, Clarity got out, just ran into her. After the text was sent, he put it away again, looking to Alarick "So, glorious leader, are we just gonna stand here and look pretty? I mean I guess that's your thing and all, but look at this face, wasn't exactly made for it." Aethelrick could understand waiting for the perfect time to strike, but he was itching to get this over with, partially to see what Cyrus' room was like nowadays. It might just be a bit of a generation gap between him and the Lightwood child, but he liked fieldwork a lot more than standing around, sure there was the nice off-time every now and then, but he didn't want it to start taking up too much of his time.

In the safehouse Hendrick's phone buzzed, as he received the text from Aethelrick however, dear old Hendrick had had a long day behind him, even before getting out of the Institute and while he would have been more sensible about reading his texts more quickly to not end up in crazy situations, where people enter through your window with explosives going off shortly after. He had drifted off to sleep rather quickly after laying in the nice cool bed.

It became clear to Corvo that this girl was entirely unsuited to being a Shadow Hunter, Nephilim she may be. He wanted to send her back to Alicante where she could be dealt with properly, whether that meant being retrained or simply being confined there. Apparently she wasn't the smartest of the Shadow Hunters, and somehow didn't realise that she broke an Accord. To think that one could simply overlook breaking one of the fundamental rules of their existence... It seemed ridiculous. He smirked at Titania's comment about him.
"If I had been, I wouldn't be the same I can assure you of that. It's only my species and my job that allow this sort of work." He replied. "Somehow, I doubt that you would have noticed me in the crowd of Fae that undoubtedly seek your favour." Some might consider his comments pessimistic about himself, but it was simple realism as far as he was concerned. Life was a series of opportunities and it was up to the person living to take them. His opportunities appeared purely through coincidence, and the same series likely would not have been repeated. He didn't bother explaining that out loud, as he was sure that she would understand his meaning perfectly. He returned his attention to Roxanne, nodding understandingly at what she was saying in what could best be described as a show of sympathy.
"I understand that this is a painful experience for you, and truthfully I derive no pleasure from this. This is simply a means to an end." He began to draw a second Rune of Pain on her other leg. Considering her reaction to the first, this should be sufficient. "I also understand that this is stressful, but how bad this will be is entirely up to you. You've told me some useful things so far Roxanne. Just give me your phone password and I'll make the pain disappear. If you tell me some extra tidbits, anything I might find useful, I may even let you go."

The second rune that was drawn on her skin made things just that much worse. Tears came to Roxanne's eyes as she whimpered more. She thrashed around more as she tried to escape the pain and escape what was keeping her bound. That she knew wasn't possible without Corvo removing the runes from her, but still she hoped. She just needed to escape the pain. She didn't want to give him the password because she didn't want him seeing all the private things on her phone, but it was only going to get worse from here.

"6.... 5..." Roxanne swallowed hard as she tried to curl up more on the table. She was shaking really badly, but not because of the pain, but the though of giving up access to everything she held onto to do with her fiance. "....9...." She continued, her mind jumped to memories with her fiance, but then to his blood on her hands as he smiled a crooked smile, because it wasn't him but a demon. She let out a sob as she tried to find the words to tell him the last number. "...2...." She finally got out. "Now just let me go. Please!" She begged. She just wanted to run and hide and try to forget, forget it all. There was only so much her broken mind could handle.

Blood dripped off of the gashes covering Ash's body and pooled onto the concrete floor beneath him. He struggled to stand, ignoring the fact that his broken bones fought against his every movement but ignored the pain. He had felt worse. His black eyes fixed on the Greater Demon, his father, who stood before him completely unharmed.

    "
So how did it go in your head? You would come straight from the Spiral and suddenly have the strength to overpower me? I thought you were the smart one, Ashy-boy." The demon gripped his collar and lifted the warlock to his feet. "If I enjoyed being at another's beck and call then I would have chosen to remain in Heaven with all the other feathered snobs." The demon grinned. "Once I'm done turning you into paste, I suppose it would be time for me to have another son. Perhaps I'll teach that one how to change a tire."

    "
Interesting..." Ash spat out the blood that filled his mouth.

    "
What? Did I hit you on the head too hard?" The demon drew his fist back, apparently aiming to "correct" his mistake.

    "
You actually thought I was stupid enough to fight you head on." Steam began to rise from the demon's hand. He released Ash and yelped in pain, gripping his hand.

    "
    What did you do, boy!?"

Ash snapped his fingers, revealing that their entire surroundings had been covered in runes made out of blood. Thousands of square feet of binding spells written in blood containing high concentrations of angelic divinity. Nephilim blood gathered over decades. "
All I needed to do was buy time for all of this to take effect." Ash placed his hand to his mouth, wiping his mouth clean. "I'd say that's eighty years well spent. Wouldn't you agree, father?" In this prison, the demon could lay no hands on him nor use his immensely powerful magic. There was nothing that could be done to peer into the prison nor break its seals save for Ash himself. Layer upon layer of protection had been placed, accounting for every eventuality. Every loophole had been considered. Ash knew he could not leave any chance of his father being accidentally set free as it would be...apocalyptic. If any layer of warding was broken, the most powerful spell he had ever devised would be unleashed ensuring that his father could never leave.

    "
Clever child. But why not just kill me now, mighty warlock?" The demon sneered.

    "
You're more useful to me alive."

    "
Is that it? Or is it because you're not sure that ace up your sleeve is enough to kill the big fish?" Upon seeing Ash's hesitation the demon's wide grin returned. "Oh? Ashy can't preform? Don't worry. It happens to the best of us."

    "
I'll leave you to your thoughts. The sooner you get comfortable spending eternity here, the smoother this will be."

    "
Leaving so soon? I haven't even had time to make another sibling for you to kill." Even as Ash ignored his father, the demon continued to taunt him as he made his exit.

Ash watched as Clary left, shaking his head at the attitude she had given him. As much as he wanted to keep an eye on her, he had to stand by what he had said. She was free to make her own mistakes. Once he took his belongings and made a trip to the basement, Ash left just minutes after the young ifrit. Everything had been settled but discomfort had settled in the back of his mind. He wondered about going back but knew that the effort would be pointless. It would not change anything.

With a deep breath, Ash made his way forward keeping his pace brisk to not waste any time during his trip back. He returned to the safe house moments later, having traveled faster without having to carry Clary around. The bodies and blood remained but Cin was nowhere to be seen. Ash doubted the knight could have gone too far. When he made his way deeper into the house it was immediately noticeable that fewer people remained. He appreciated that the place was less crowded even though he knew he would have to wait until others returned for the trip.

    Ash made his way towards
Morrigan and Masque who were, strangely, calmly conversing. It hardly seemed like a good idea. "Morrigan," Ash called out towards her. "A word?" The warlock motioned for her to come his way, not even giving Masque a glance his way as Ash's black eyes fixed on the fairy. He had told her he would explain everything when he returned and return he had.

Rhett eyed Brianne and smiled at her concern for him as it was more than he was used to from anyone. He adjusted his coat as he walked forward, the trio getting occasional glances from the other werewolves as they walked by. Several noticed that Brianne and Creed were not one of "them" but made no move. So long as they believed they were part of Rhett's pack, which was nonexistent, they would not make a move unless threatened...or annoyed...or looked at the wrong way. Rhett approached the bartender and leaned on the table, ignoring the passing gaze of a girl who was obviously eyeing him or, perhaps, just looking his direction. She and the wolf beside her both seemed too drunk to really be "all there".

    "
Any alphas in the house?" Rhett asked the man, showing no attempt at subtlety.

    "
    What?"

    "
Alphas. Any here? I'm looking to make some deals."

    "
No. But I suggest you get out of here. There's some wolves out looking for your head, Rhett." The bartender spoke gruffly, his eyes shifting from Rhett to Brianne and to Creed. His eyes narrowed suspiciously at them, glaring at the bunch.

    "
Why?" He raised his eyebrow wondering who could want him dead. The only ones that would even want to do that were probably all dead, being picked up by a desperate wolf looking for a pack, or in hiding...or...

    "
Rhett!" Upon hearing his name, he froze. He hoped the wolf who had shouted his name had been friendly but by the tone and low growl in the man's voice, Rhett knew otherwise. Slowly, he turned around to see five werewolves, all in ratty clothes, and their scents belonging to that only found from those in Keller's pack. They must have been some of the last remnants of the alpha's pack. The blood lust in their eyes was clear. Each wolf pulled out a silver blade and began to approach. The others in the club made no attempt to stop the fight that was about to break out. Obviously, they all wanted to see some blood spilled. Especially if it meant seeing a nephilim die.

The werewolves lunched at them. The song blasting in the speakers of the club switched. ...Battle...music..?

As soon as the demon began to bargain with the lives of others, Paragon knew it was time to act. As Slavko approached the door, Paragon burst through and fired a round into the demon's arm which held the chain "Not so fast" he said casually.

Nick was quick to act, as soon as the demon was distracted he took out his concealed stele and struck the demon around the head, knocking him to the ground. One of the men pulled out a pair of handcuffs, probably magical, and cuffed the creature. For extra measure, Nick placed a binding rune on him "Your reign of torment is over, Slavko. You tried to mess with the wrong guy" he stated emotionlessly
"Wonderful job Nicholas" Paragon complimented "Couldn't have done it better myself"
"My pleasure" Nick replied with a smile
"Black Pawn, White Pawn, take the demon away. Oh, but before I go..." Paragon turned to face the stunned patrons of the restaurant, some had hidden in fear, some were sitting in shocked silence, but they all looked towards the impressive man "This never happened. You all came out for dinner and had a lovely time, and now you're going to go home. As for you waiting staff, this was just another ordinary shift. Waitress, you got that injury when you slipped and fell" Paragons words mesmerized the humans, and as he finished all the patrons immediately left, their faces blank but content. The staff carried on as if nothing had happened.

The demon Slavko was awoken in Paragon's HQ, in a solid metal cell. A doctor peered through the narrow window, he wore thick glasses and a long doctor's coat that was black instead of white
"Good Evening, I am Doctor Bishop. I'm sure we'll get to know each other very well soon enough"

"Six, five, nine, two. Thank you." The Inquisitor punched in the numbers, opening the phone. He looked into her messages and saw a recent text from Alarick Lightwood. It appeared to be calling for a rendezvous at a certain location. It had an address. He smiled and took out his own phone, putting in the address. He now had a record of it. Corvo erased the Runes of Pain that he had written on to her body, relieving her of the agony that she was feeling. He looked over at the Seelie Queen again. "This seems to have worked out rather well. I've got exactly what I need to track down these traitors." He was about to remove her Rune of Binding, but then he remembered something.
"Thank you very much Roxanne. There's a last order of business that I need to discuss with you, now that we have this dreadful business sorted out. Tell me, how did you break the Accords?" The Inquisitor asked her in a polite tone of voice. "What have you done? Remember what I said, since you've worked with me I'll be able to reduce your punishment. I do however, need to know. I assume that won't be a problem after what we've just been through together, will it?" After this, he had to figure out what he was going to do with her. He couldn't exactly leave her to go outside without certain guarantees made, but how much he could trust her was severely in question. He had to ensure that she was not able to get in touch with Brianne, Alarick or any of the traitors. Simply put, she had to disappear. There could be no risk of anything being revealed. Unless of course, he moved quickly. If he could make a fast move, then it was possible that he could pull something off that could swing the game. Now that he thought about it, he did have the contact for Alarick, and he did have the means to deceive him. And some leverage. He eyed the Nephilim on the table.
"Well this is perfect." Corvo muttered with his lips contorted into a half-smile.

The Seelie Queen watched Corvo work, the scene causing an emotion which she could only identify as being the closest to actual amusement she had felt in centuries. "Never trust the word of a Shadowhunter." She turned to walk away from Corvo, snapping her fingers and causing two Seelie Knights to appear. More then enough to handle Roxanne, when the Inquisitor was finished with her. "Just like their forefathers. No matter which way you turn them you always end up with a knife in your back."

She half turned, the smile dropping from her face. "Take care what you do to those Lightwood twins of yours,
Inquisitor. I may have need of them yet, and if I find them broken beyond the means that fulfill my desire..." She didn't finish the sentence as her eyes glowed green. Most mortals could only dream of the agony of a painful death. Corvo, and perhaps a few others still alive today understood the fundamentals of true torture, but they hadn't had the centuries of life to perfect the exquisite art of soul rending torment. And Titania hadn't had a new plaything in far too long.

Clarity shrugged, the movement causing her to flinch. "How could I resist you, gorgeous? My heart was bleeding every second we were apart. Didn't you hear its pathetic cries?" She sighed, looking around the training room with only the slightest of interests. "But I must be honest with you, my heart belongs more fully to another. I have come to reclaim my knives, and my sword, which I assume are still in Hendrick's room."

She turned to go, shouldering past the unimportant werewolf with a, "Down boy," before turning to look at
Felicia over her shoulder, all cynicism gone from her voice. "You've made a mistake in trying to make this your home. I suggest you go out and parley with the two Shadowhunters that are waiting for their allies to arrive, before this turns into a total warzone. You've taken away something very precious, and they are desperate enough to incite violence for its return. Because when push comes to shove, they've saved my ass four times combined. Can't compare that to a measly one. Even if I am grateful." Clarity turned back around and walked up the stairs, intimately familiar with the Institute in a way no Downworlder should have been.

"Oh my babies, I'll never leave you again." She murmured, nuzzling the blade against her cheek as though it was a puppy. Stowing them back where they belonged, she looked around the room. "I have a feeling things are going to get uglier then the decor."

"It's nice to know I've incurred the jealous wrath of a forty year old man with a five year old's mind." Alarick replied quietly to Aethelrick, his arms folded across his chest as he waited. "I trust Clarity far more then I trust most other people right now. We wait." And that was what he intended to do. He didn't know what he was waiting for, and it made him slightly nervous, but he knew the ifrit wouldn't send him into the wolves' den alone. The three of them had watched out for each other far too many times for the tradition to be broken now.

Morrigan looked up at the sound of Ash's voice, and though she hadn't known it had existed, the knot in her chest slowly unwound. He didn't look amused, nor pleased to see her conversing with her would be murderer, and Morrigan would have had to agree, had she been in his shoes, she wouldn't have been that happy about it either. But Morrigan didn't wear shoes.

    Unable to trust the
vampire who had remained behind, unwilling to let the warlock out of her sight when he could so easily disappear, she motioned. "Come with me." She said it politely, but it was not a request. She was not letting Masque out of her sight until her desire to understand him was sated, and she was not letting anyone else have him until then either. She had claimed his life, and hers it would remain.

    Turning, she walked lightly towards
Ash, her eyes remaining on his face. "I see you've returned." She said quietly, her tone gentle. Her eyes were not. You can't have it both ways.

Brianne swore and yanked out her seraphim blade. "Haniel!" She yelled, just as one of the werewolves was nearly on top of her. The light blinded the man, and she used the hilt to smack the side of the Downworlder's temple. It was unsuccessful, and she found herself flying through the air. Tucking into a ball, she rolled, using gravity to her advantage, until she smashed into one of the tables and ended up on her feet. Whipping around, she caught the werewolf's fists between her hands as he bore down on her, using his superior size and weight to press in on her tinier form.

His eyes began to glow, and Brianne gritted her teeth before using an age old trick that Clarity swore by; she kneed the man between the legs. He went down like a sack of potatoes, and she pressed her knee into his massive back, seraphim blade against his neck. "Stay down." She growled to him, baring her teeth in a snarl before she switched her knee to a better position, cutting off the air supply to his diaphragm. He would be unconscious in a few seconds, but she realized she might not have that much time as another wolf, a female, started towards her.

    "
Guys!" She yelled, trying to indicate she could use some back up.

Felicia couldn't help but roll her eyes at the sarcasm dripping from Clarity's words. This girl really was a handful when push came to shove. Now that she was not as injured, she was more sarcastic than ever. There was a part of it that Felicia admired, but part of it that she hated. It could be quite annoying to deal with some times. Of course she only came for her knives as well, not that Felicia needed the thanks or loyalty of one Ifrit when she control most of the wolves in New York now.

    Felicia listened as
Clarity turned back to her before leaving, for once there was no sarcastic tone to her voice, that was new. "Listen, do you really think I am stupid enough to take this place for my home permanently? Do you think I am that stupid girl? The only reason I hold my position is for the safety of you and your little friend until I can deal with the inquisitor. Right now my little story is keeping him from torturing you for information about what you were doing here and finding out to go after that shadow hunter of yours. Though I suppose it isn't you I need to explain this to." Felicia stated as she got up and exited the room herself. At a snap of her fingers the two wolves who had originally followed her in to save Clarity the first time were at her back.

She soon found herself strolling out of the institute to face those she had taken it from. Perhaps if they see the situation they would let them stay until the
inquisitor was dealt with, or at least set up more solid protection for all parties involved. For now this was the best she could do. Felicia approached the small group of people standing outside. "So I suppose you are the shadow hunters that Clarity claimed to be here and angry. Listen I look for no war. Just borrowing what I need to keep a cover story to keep Clarity, and him safe." Felicia stated as she indicated to Athelrick. She didn't touch any of her knives, there was no use to become much of a threat to them yet. If they could talk it out, that would be much preferred.

Even as the Rune's of pain were removed from the body, Roxanne still lay there sobbing. The mental turmoil that she was going through was as bad as the physical one that she had just been through a moment before. She was done talking, but that didn't seem like an option. The Inquisitor had asked her a question and implied that if she didn't answer that he would cause her more pain. Although at this point she was sure someone would have a way of finding out what she did without her telling them anyways. At this point it was not worth trying to deny it, it wouldn't make her situation any better.

Roxanne tried to stifle her cries as she finally went to speak, what laws she had broken. Perhaps if she tried to explain properly then they wouldn't punish her as bad.
"I-I-I w-well.... So much has happened recently I was struggling keeping a grip on things.... I-I was looking for routine, but I didn't want to face Brianne to get a proper assignment. I-I don't know what I was thinking. I just went to look for someone who seemed like he would be on the list. Just do a job. I-I just needed familiarity." Roxanne explained with a shaky voice. She closed her eyes and turned her face away from everything trying to quiet the thoughts in her head telling her how stupid she was and how she couldn't help anyone now that she had done this. She couldn't stop Slavko from tormenting anyone else and she couldn't get her sister back.

"I also defied one of the Claves orders. I-I wasn't supposed to go anywhere without supervision. I-I broke his rules too. I-I'm sorry. I had to get away." Roxanne admitted. She didn't know why she was spilling her guts to him, except perhaps to make sure that there was no more pain for her. Even if they locked her up at least she would be alone for a little while, and that was something she needed right now.

As it seemed there was more reinforcements outside, one of which had a gun. The shots in his shoulder forced him to drop the weapon that he was holding. In this time Nick was able to knock him out, throwing everything into darkness. They hadn't killed him clearly, he had not returned to hell where he belonged, instead darkness remained his friend for a long while.

When Slavko finally woke up, he found himself in a cell. He glanced around it, assessing for a way out, but by the sound of Nick's words before he was knocked out, it sounded like these people already had an idea of how to deal with Demons. They were not going to let him go easily. That was okay, it wasn't like he was in a rush to be anywhere.
"Whats up doc?" Slavko said as he lay eyes on the man in the window. "I can see that you are making a mild attempt to intimidate me in a way, but it won't work. I am hundreds of years old and have died countless times. Yet here I am, always coming back. So do your worse, I dare you. I bet it won't be something I haven't already been through."

"No if you had incurred my wrath we wouldn't be talking." Aethelrick said as he waited with the Lightwood kid, he hated waiting. He examined the damage to the Institute more closely as he tried to pass the time. There was more than enough time and when he had been staring so much he started seeing double and everything blurred, he finally broke his gaze to see Felicia approaching. "Nice to see you again." Aethel said with a grin on his face. "And no we're not angry, dear wolfy, this good man right here, would just like to have his home back, you know the place you took up residence after we got Cyrus out of there. Must say you took the best place to occupy, but I think we can work something out right? As allies, of course, you helped Clarity, help me, so I guess I owe you one." He wasn't exactly wrong however he didn't exactly need to be protected with a cover story, the Inquisitor probably didn't even know where to look for him anyways.

"And who is Clarity?" Sien asked, adding another person to the list of people that he didn't know at all. It was a slowly growing list that only got bigger as someone else had walked out. It was a female like Clarity, and attractive female, but a female nonetheless. It appeared that see too had business with the Inquisitor as well. Maybe with any luck they could convince her to help them out, this of course coming from the one non Shadow Hunter in the group so far so Sien stayed quiet and waited to see what Alarick would say. He could probably handle this situation better than he could.

When the first blade wielding werewolf went to attack him, Creed quickly took a step back and stuck his foot out to trip said werewolf. Having been caught of guard and thrown off balance, the beast crashed face first into a glass of whatever it was that werewolves drink. This had left him the a daze, which granted Creed the perfect chance to grab the werewolf by its back and toss it towards the the female wold who had gone to attack Brianne. The two wolves collided and were sent away from Brianne. "I got you!"

Now who's got Creed, that would be the wolf who had decided to attack from his blind spot and tackle him to the ground. On the one hand, this had caught Creed completely off guard and left him vulnerable to being attacked, but one the other hand not only was the werewolf who had attacked Creed currently trying to get his weapon out, but by tackling him he'd knocked his own weapon onto the ground next to him. Once he had a grip on his bearing, Creed saw his katana within arms reach and reached out for it. With any luck he'd be able to grab it before he was impaled by a silver blade.

"I realise you might not be fond of them Titania, and I may be having to deal with traitors, but they are still my people." Corvo reminded, not allowing himself to be swept up into the trap that was the Seelie Queen. If he started agreeing with her on matters concerning the way he dealt with Nephilim in his role of Inquisitor it would be a betrayal. As it stood, this was an alliance of convenience and he had no interest in being pulled down the rabbit hole that was her friendship. "Not all of them are traitors. It just seems that these ones are. I'll deal with the Lightwoods as I see fit. If they surrender peacefully then I'll make the process as painless as possible." But he knew that it wouldn't come to that. People with the nerve to even start a rebellion would never willingly give up when caught. He was going to have to make some power plays in this little game, and Roxanne was going to be the tool he used. He had to get to the Lightwoods first, that much was clear. The Seelie Queens had designs of their own and traitors they may be, he had to protect them. He looked at Roxanne again.
"I see... So you've killed an Unlisted Downworlder and you disobeyed orders from your superior. The latter would be forgiveable, except for one thing. Roxanne, this is how you shall serve out your punishment: You'll be serving under me now." Corvo ordered, looking down at her on the table. "You and I are going to make things right. We're going to stop these traitors, we'll bring them in peacefully and all will be well. You will erase your sins, and the Clave will be none the wiser to any of your actions. It'll be our little secret." He smiled at her, a genuine one. He didn't want to have to resort to anything drastic to deal with them unless he had to. Once again, he reminded himself that it was easy to get swept up in vengeance and anger, but at the end of the day they were fellow Shadow Hunters. Hurting them wasn't necessary. He just had to bring them back into line and get them to help the cause.
"Unless, you'd rather another way. I'd much prefer it this way. Please." He needed this to work. He needed allies, ones that weren't the Seelie Queen. She was dangerous, and just being in this place was a risk. He took out his Stele and prepared to erase the Rune of Binding. "Work with me and we'll make everything alright again."

Alarick blinked. Took a deep breath, and blinked again. "You are probably the most ignorant creature I have ever had the displeasure of working with. And I work with him." He jerked his head at Aethelrick. "You're doing this to protect them? You've just signed their death warrants. And yours." He pointed at the Institute. "No Downworlder is supposed to be inside of there. Ever. You've just destroyed every chance we had of talking to the Clave and coming to some sort of truce. Now we have no choice but to fight them if we want to retain our lives, and keep you from losing yours. And right now, I don't see why I should take that option."

He gritted his teeth, voice rising. "You have damned every single one of us to torture, at which we can only pray they'll give us death. Do you even understand what that means? Can you even begin to fathom the consequences for your carelessness?"

Clarity's head jerked up. Was Alarick shouting? She turned and bolted down the stairs as fast as her trembling baby deer legs could carry her. Shoving past the werewolf guards, she almost tumbled into the Shadowhunter himself, tripping over her feet and nearly throwing herself at Aethelrick to steady her legs. "Don't get your hopes up, big boy." She told Aethelrick as she righted herself. "I've a strict relationship with my bed. We're very serious about each other. I think it might be love. No room for anyone else."

She turned to Alarick, eyes widening a fraction. He was more upset then she had ever seen him, and she had seen him standing over an unconscious Brianne. "Hey." She reached forward and placed blue palms on either side of his face, forcing him to look at her. "Breathe." She reminded him, frowning until he did as she commanded.

    "Now. You and the
werewolf will discuss strategy, inside. I would rather not be sniped by your crazy Inquisitor, specially since he might be inwardly bleeding and angry about it. Felicia is one of the most stubborn fluffies I've met, and if she says she's not going anywhere, then she's not. You both are going to start getting along right f*cking now. We need each other. Capische?" She waited until Alarick nodded, then turned to Felicia. "Right this way to the honeymoon suite. You two make the most perfect couple." Dropping the gushing tones in her voice, she turned on her heel and went inside, heading for the medical room. If nothing else, she wanted to sit while they discussed important things.
