Roxanne gave Hendrick a nod as he told her to open the door. She drew her knife and held it at the ready as she reached for the door handle and flung it open. Roxanne expected a horde of enemies, she was surprised to see only one, disappointed even, and perhaps a little worried. She was surprised that there were so few guarding the entrance. Disappointed that there was so few because it meant she couldn't show off. And she was worried because if only one was here, where were the rest? It could mean that Brianne was in great danger.

"Helloooooooo......." Roxanne said to the wolf to really draw it's attention and annoy it slightly before she began attacking. One damn little wolf didn't scare her. "Stay back old man. I got this!" She told Hendrick before being forced to start the fight by the wolf that was getting ever more annoyed with her. She kept her movements swift as she attacked and dodged. She got the wolf worked up so it's movements were sloppy then did a single flip landing her feet on it's back knocking it to the ground. "Bye bye!" She announced as she stabbed it a couple times to kill it. "Lets go find Brianne now old man!" She called back at Hendrick.

Ash left with Rhett in his arms, the fey girl trailing after him with a couple of worried glances thrown her way. Brianne turned her attention to the matter at hand, the five werewolves in front of her that were circling ever closer. She backed up a couple steps, taking a deep breath, and waiting. Neither side broke the silence as both waited for the other to make a move.

Finally, one of the wolves, a more impatient enemy, lunged forward, starting the attack. She dodged to the side, stabbing him in the side before whirling in a circle to side step the assault of a smaller female wolf. The fey girl, even Ash had nothing to worry about from a few scratches and bites. But Nephilim were not immune to the demon's disease, and one bite had the power to forever change her future.

She ducked under the lunge of a third and rolled forward, gutting it with her stele before whipping around just in time to slam the blade of her stele in between the snapping jaws of the female. The force of the attack knocked the Shadowhunter to the ground, the wolf piling on top of her. She elbowed the wolf in the face, nearly losing her hand to the snapping teeth, before stabbing the Downworlder in the throat. That left three more, all of whom were descending on her quickly as she pushed the bleeding body off of herself.

Hendrick followed after Roxanne and they ran into a wolf as soon as they entered. The girl decided to go and annoy the werewolf, taunting it. Risky tactic sure it became more predicatable as the anger made it focus more on the offense, but if they landed hits it would be a lot worse. Roxanne however told him to stay back, she probably didn't realize that he could strike from afar or she just wanted to keep him safe. Eitherway he stayed back with the bow still drawn, waiting for an opportunity to fire, but Roxanne's dancing around unpredictably made him consider every opening he got. Which was a good thing or he'd have shot her several times, some of which lethal.

When the wolf was dead, he motioned for her to lead the way. They had to be quickly this few wolves out here, meant more out there where
Brianne was so they had to hurry, going through the building he kept his bow drawn near corners and junctions. His caution however didn't remain unrewarded as he followed Roxanne closely through the building. A werewolf rounded the corner, he fired an arrow just past Roxanne's face, it not hitting her, but the wolf was struck in the shoulder, Hendrick quickly redrew his bow, adrenaline surpressing the pain and pushed Roxanne aside and fired again, and again. His bow not having as much stopping power as it normally would have the wolf began to charge him as he released the bow one final time, the arrow striking it straight through the heart as it stumbled and fell skidding to a halt just in front of him.

He took out the arrows and stabbed one final time with his Nephilim blade just to be sure. "Come on, we gotta find Brianne, I don't like this at all, there should have been more guards." Hendrick said as he grabbed his stele and drew a speed rune, something he didn't think he needed but now clearly was the time for it. Again his saying had been true no plan survives contact with the enemy... He just prayed to the Angel they wouldn't be too late.

Roxanne and Hendrick walked further inside, Roxanne taking lead. However when they came across another werewolf Hedrick didn't even give her a chance to attack, instead pushing her out of the way and fighting it himself, shooting arrow after arrow into it. "I could have handled that myself you know. You are supposed to be staying back and not putting too much strain on yourself. It would help you know." Roxanne instructed Hendrick once the wolf was dead. She didn't like the fact that he was taking kills that could have been hers. She was just using his injury as an excuse to complain.

    As they started off again
Hendrick mentioned he didn't like how things were going. "So you noticed too?" She responded as she continued forward. She just hoped they weren't too late. Another death of a friend, she didn't know if she could handle that. Actually she knew she couldn't, she had to hurry, but she couldn't leave Hendrick behind either.

Moving as fast as bother her and
Hendrick could manage she made her way towards the courtyard. As she got there she saw a sight that she didn't one to see. Brianne was pushing the dead body of one werewolf off as her as three others looked prepared to attack. "Stay back and stay safe. I have to help Brianne!" She shouted at Hendrick. She didn't want to leave the older nephlim's side, but she had to for Brianne's sake.

"Lets have a little fun!" She giggled finding the side of her saved for killing, the side that found it very fun. She darted at the wolves as quick as she could. She jumped over one and landed between it and Brianne. "Yoo hoo! Guess what? Roxi is here! You have to get through me to get miss serious over here. Good luck with that!" Roxanne announced proudly as she got ready to fight. Her eyes danced as she prepared for the first attack. One wolf lunged and she spun out of the way slashing it's leg before looking at the next who was preparing to attack. None of them she wanted to die too quickly, she wanted to have a little fun with them before they died. So right now she aimed to simply injure. The second one jumped at her and she ducked under grabbing it's tail with one hand and stabbing it's back thigh with the other, taking advantage of the strength rune she wore to throw it to the side. All three were on their feet once more but two being injured found it harder to attack.

    "So is
miss serious going to help or does Roxi need to take care of these mean pups?"

Brianne didn't think she had ever been so glad to see Roxanne in her life. That the girl was in a jovial mood told her Hendrick was nearby. She smiled in spite of herself, readjusting her grip on her stele before moving to stand next to Roxanne. "I think we can handle them." She told the other Shadowhunter, narrowing her eyes at the remaining enemies. "I'll take the one on the left, and you take another. We'll have to leave the third for Hendrick." If he was using his bow, he would be trying to find a vantage point. Might as well give him one less target to worry about.

Brianne slid to the slid, slashing upwards and out. The wolf jumped back before lunging forward as she yanked her arm out of the jaw's reach before moving in to attack once more. Her blade nearly landed its mark, but the wolf was wounded, and much more cautious. She paused, wondering if perhaps the creature could be reasoned with.

The second she let her mind wander, the werewolf snatched the opportunity to grab her arm in its jaws. She punched it in the side of the head before the teeth could break through her leather clothing and skin, landing another blow to the animal's side as she stepped back once more.

As per his newly assigned role, Sien was covering the secondary exit should Masque try to flee. How he got there? Like any normal person would of course. The fire escape. So yeah, that's pretty much where Sien is at the moment.

After the implied off screen interrogation of the wolf that Valister had caught, he'd learned quite a few interesting things. It truly was a good thing that he decided to go out tonight, otherwise he might've missed all this. Clearly he was going to need to take a closer look at what was going on, but first there was something else that he needed to address. During his interrogation, someone else had appeared. A woman to be exact. "You're welcome to follow if you so desire." Short, simple and to the point.

Valister then proceeded to make way into the courtyard by leaping whatever wall/fence may have been in the way and stood on the very other side. After doing so, he say that he wasn't the only one who had been there which wasn't surprising given the recently received information. Instead there were four (?), none of which matched the description that he was given by the wolf.
It would appear that I'm not the only one who decided to go the the police station. Since no one had noticed him, Valister decided to stand back and watch as they ones who where here before him fought off the wolves.

She was not sure what the man was up to with the wolf, but she was sure she would find out sooner or latter. The for some reason the man wanted her to follow him. While, she did not have anything better to do, so why not. She followed through the courtyard doing so with ease ending up close to the man. (But not to close) as she was not sure what the man was up to. "Do you mind telling me what you are up to?", she asked in a low voice. She somewhat wondered what was going on, because at this point she had no clue. She looked out to see there was more wolves out there. Was this man some sort of wolf hunter? At would appear to be the case considering that when she found the man he was holding onto a wolf's tail. Now the man was right next to more of them. She also wondered what she had just gotten herself into. She wondered if this was what her informant wanted when he told her to see what was happening with all the killings. She did not think that she would never find out and it would be best to look at the task at hand.

The way home was somewhat long, but he had to be fast, because he did not have much time if he took his time. She arrived at home opening the door as quickly. He then made his way to the kitchen table, where his mother was and took a seat. 'you should start thinking about eating lunch at school.' "yea, I do not think that is going to happen any time soon." He then told her about what happened at school. 'Another fight? What am I going to do with you Adam?' "But, I did not fight him. He said that he was going to kill me." 'People say all sorts of things that are not true. The boy, Jon might just want a friend.' He did not thin he would ever be the boy friend. He was not all that nice.

Hendrick smiled when Roxanne berated him for his actions "I ain't one for sitting still and looking pretty, then again I couldn't look pretty with a face like mine." Sure it hurt to strain himself like that, but hey the wolf never had seen it coming as he had marked himself with an invisibility rune. He could stand in front of them and they wouldn't know. Roxanne asked him if he had noticed it too, good so it wasn't just him that had done so. She had realised this on her own too, it would appear his mentioning of environmental factors to them did strike home somewhere.

    As they had found
Brianne it was as he had feared, she was pushing a corpse off herself. Roxanne took up position with the head of the Institute leaving, Hendrick by himself. Good, it was showtime. As the wolves pounced and one tried to rip into Brianne only to release her after it wa punched in the face, Roxanne was faring a bit better but she was playing around too much. Hendrick sighed, he knew this was going to happen as soon as Brianne had been lifted off by Paragon, which was nowhere to be found. Just as expected, not trustworthy. He had thought he had taught these two better but he was proven wrong. Well time to get to work...

An arrow flew towards the wolf that had bitten
Brianne, and another one, aimed to kill. The Nephilim began to slowly pace forward as he kept on firing another set of arrows, one for each of the wolves Roxanne had injured, his face contorting a little and a soft grunt escaping every time he drew the bow. Brianne was trying to fight these things with her Stele which was an even more horrible idea than trying to capture one. Between two shot he took the hilt of his Seraphim blade and threw it towards her. Shouting "Brianne! Catch!" she had seen him use it more than enough to know it's name for activation, however this betrayed his position in more than one way and he stopped firing to find a new firing position, no matter how well this hammer and anvil was working, he had to stay out of melee especially now that he had lost his main melee weapon.

"Tell that to your friend Rhett" Paragon stated coldly, he didn't believe the man's words, he was simply a violent psychopath. He was not deceived by the man and noticed the wolf trying to sneak up on him. In one quick move he shot the wolf in the forehead with the silver bullet. His guns were silent, all that could be heard was the thwish of the bullet zooming through the air. With a spin and flourish he continued, one, two, three, four. Four shots thwished through air, skin, bone. Four werewolf bodies dropped to the floor in unison. With a glance at a nearby CCTV camera, he shut it off, and fluttered down to Grayson, pointing his handguns at the wolf "Three shots left. Do you want to risk it?" he asked the werewolf. Behind him appeared two figures clad in black "Are you going to come peacefully, or will I have to get my friends here to apply some force?"

Masque hissed as his knife was taken from him, but sat back hopelessly as Alarick tried to calm him down. The fairy's words and the shadowhunter's echoed in his mind and he hissed with fury and sorrow Will you not even defend yourself? No one will look at you, How pathetic With a sudden violent urge Masque leaped forward, hands outstretched, grabbing for the fairy's throat "WORM? WORM???" he tried to throttle the man. worm. You can make this easy, pathetic, No one is going to harm him, I shall enjoy watching make this one squirm. Masque slumped suddenly and held his head in his hands, tears could be seen welling in his almost reptilian eyes. "Just kill me already, I'm a monster, I've killed so many" Masque spat through gritted teeth "You shouldn't have taken the knife from me. The fairy in central park, is she dead? I thought so. She was such a fighter. She could have been so much" worm worm worm worm worm worm worm worm worm Calm down it's all going to be alright. A new voice pervaded Masque's thoughts

"Calm down. It's all going to be alright" Nick knelt by the warlock, trying desperately to calm the tragic figure down. He hoped Cin or Alarick wouldn't react too violently to Masque, couldn't they see he felt guilty? Couldn't they see the emotional turmoil?

"Nick, move back." Alarick commanded. He didn't want to hurt the warlock, but the risk that something would happen to the younger Shadowhunter was too great. He quickly performed the rune of Binding, the air around Masque stirring before going still again. "He won't come to any harm, but we can't risk our own safety. We're needed too much." He glanced at Cin; the fairy had mentioned he was looking for his brother's intended. Exactly how many missing fairies were there?

Instead of asking, he turned to
Sien. "Can you put a glamour on him? We need to find a way back to the Institute, quickly. Nick, keep an eye on him and keep your stele drawn." He frowned. "I was hoping one of you would know how to hotwire a car. We can't exactly take the train back."

Grayson flinched as his pack went down; even his beta. As he stared at their forms, he felt...nothing. "I'd rather not mess up this suit any more then it already has been." He murmured as he kept his eyes on his second in command before raising them to Paragon. I'll make you pay, one day. But right now, he needed to survive, to live. "I'll come quietly."

One for each of them. That seemed fair. Roxanne didn't like it but it seemed fair. It just meant she had more time to play with her prey. That being said, Hedrick wasn't being fair and keeping just to his wolf. It was so mean. She could take care of it herself. Her face now looked very determined as she started circling around the wolf. The hunter would now become the hunted.

Roxanne was the first to make a move, lunging at it aiming for a strike to it's shoulder. The wolf managed to dodge however and almost caught her in the leg with it's teeth. Lucky for Roxanne she was able to avoid it, if just barely. Now it was time that she went on the defense and let the wolf go on the offense. It snarled and jumped at her, though it's movements were a little more sluggish thanks to it's injuries. This gave Roxanne time to counter and take out it's other leg. The wolf now could barely stand, perfect.

"It is fun time!" Roxanne announced as she approached the wolf who seemed to be looking at her with pleating eyes. "Aw did the puppy get beaten?" She asked as she held her kitchen knife up wondering just how she could make this things death as painful as possible. Soon she came up with her idea. "Down puppy. On your back now." She instructed and she forced the wolf onto it's back and started to make an incision on it's stomach. From there she started to skin it alive while it whimpered and clawed at her. It was not able to do much more damage then shred the bottom of Roxanne's shirt before it lost the energy to struggle anymore. Slowly the light began to fade from it's eyes as well as Roxanne worked her knife just under it's skin, taking off the pelt for herself. Who needed to carve out a heart when you could have wolf skin boots?

Brianne caught the blade that Hendrick tossed her way with a shout of thanks before turning and whispering, "Azazel." The blade glowed with new life as she shoved both hers and the stele into the werewolf's side, killing it quickly. She found as she turned, to her horror that Roxanne was not thinking the same way. Shoving her stele in its sheath and striding towards the other girl, she grabbed her shoulder, yanking her backward and away from the now dead Downworlder. "Stand down, Roxanne." She hissed, hands clenched.

How could she do that to another living creature? Was the Nephilim bond all that stopped the girl from pursuing the same course of action with herself or
    Hendrick?

"Another move like that and I'll take that damned thing away from you." She continued, pointing a finger towards the kitchen blade. "You kill them quickly, or you finish them quickly if they are wounded. We are Shadowhunters, not some twice damned Inquisition from the Angel cursed sixteen hundreds. We are the descendants of fucking Angels. Act like it. Do I make myself clear?"

Roxanne went completely nuts and Hendrick just sighed, seriously..... seriously. Brianne on the other hand was more closely following his favoured style, quick and cleaning no ****ing around. Roxanne was playing around way too much and as all wolves had been put down, Brianne immediatly ripped into her for it. Good, then again he hadn't forgotten what Brianne herself had done. He casually went to retrieve his arrows as the head of the Institute told Roxanne to keep it cleaner. His own actions were going to get critisized as well he was sure of it, but he knew what he was doing and regret would come probably tonight when the wounds would ache like hell from his added stress to them.

    He joined
Brianne and Roxanne when he had gotten all his arrows back. "That was pretty reckless, you should know better, both of you." Hendrick said "Where the **** did that treacherous son of a ***** go?" Refering to Paragon, who claimed he had been helping them, but had seemingly disappeared when things got dicey. "First of all next time we go out, you're going to bring your own Seraphim blade, grab one from the armoury, fighting things with your stele is highly ineffective you should know that. You blindly went in, had it not been for us, you'd be worse off than me. We should have discussed our tactical options before going in. Had Paragon dropped me on the roof I could have provided support without risking being torn to shreds. By the Angel these are basics concepts." Hendrick was clearly angry with his student, well she had only been her student for a little while but still.

He then turned Roxanne "She's right, I know you like to play around, but try and cut the crap, it'll get you killed one day if you keep it up. And you wouldn't do anyone good when you're dead." He was a bit lighter on Roxanne simply because she hadn't made as grave errors and well the simple fact that she wasn't as accountable as Brianne, because of her mental problems. He held out his hand to Brianne, asking his blade back. After all it had only been for borrowing. "We should go, nothing left here for us to do..." Grayson had probably gotten away by the looks of things, had that not happened they might atleast have a corpse on their hands which still meant a mission complete.

"Let go!" Roxanne demanded back as Brianne yanked her off the wolf. In the end she did stand up away from dead wolf to face her superior, but she didn't like it. That was why she tended to hunt alone and not bring the others along on tasks. She liked to have fun with her prey. That being said there was not much she could say to Brianne about the situation, only listen to her. "Yes your majesty." Bitterness dripped from Roxanne's lips as she spoke. Quick and clean just wasn't her style of fighting.

Of course it didn't end with just
Brianne yelling at her, Hedrick had to get in on it as well. "It isn't like any of you would care if I am dead. One less person to babysit." She responded to him scolding. With that she turned around and started to walk away. As much as she wanted to get away from both of them, she knew there was no where else to go but back to the institute. At least if she could make it there before them she could find a dark corner to curl up in and hide for a while.

"Watch your tone." Brianne hissed, her eyes narrowing in anger at Hendrick. "I made the call to take an ally, who should be referred to with respect, up on an offer that would have saved another life. Someone who happens to now owe us a great personal debt. Not to mention Rhett was one of the nicer werewolves, and having Ash owe us a favor could be powerful indeed.

"It doesn't matter if you wouldn't have done what I did. It doesn't even matter that it was wrong. I saved Rhett's life, got us a favor, and we managed to get most of the wolves. Paragon went after Grayson." She stepped closer to Hendrick, tossing the blade in the air and catching it before shoving it at him, handle first.

"I don't need a babysitter. I need someone to watch my back." She said, her tone icy. "And since that clearly isn't her," she jerked her head at
Roxanne's retreating back, "I had hoped it would have been you. Feel free to resign from that particular post when we get back to the Institute. Why don't you go deal with her? I'm going to clean up this mess." She turned on her heel, pulling her stele out and walking up to the first body.

They had broken the Accords, broken Nephilim law. That one moment had stripped them of their rights, but she still murmured a prayer to the Angel for them before casting the rune to create the hottest fire she could. As the body slowly burned, she went to the next, completely ignoring the other Nephilim behind her. If she wanted to an angsty teenager, she could have just brought
Nick along. She had hoped to be working with reasonable adults. Clearly that was too much to ask for. Instead she got a man nearly twice her age who questioned her actions and a psychotic girl who went from sadistic to pathetic in the blink of a second. By the Angel, what did I do to deserve this?

Hendrick merely stared Brianne into her eyes unflinchingly as she tossed the blade into the air and shoved it towards him. He countered quickly and with the normal strength, sending a grimace across his face, taking hold off the blade, deactivating it and putting it's hilt at his side. Being the head of the Institute didn't make you an exception to criticism. She told him he was free to resign from watching her back if he wanted to when they were back at the Institute. "Oh no, you ain't getting rid of me that easily." His tone sharp. "As you said you need someone to watch your back, it ain't gonna be Roxanne, so I'll gladly accept that responsibility, after all I need someone to watch my own back as well and it ain't gonna be Nick, Roxanne or that brother of yours."

He helped Brianne clean up the wolves, glancing over his shoulder to watch Roxanne go, who hadn't thought much of their criticism. She had said that they didn't care if she were dead. She nor Brianne saw that his criticism was also a way to watch their backs. "So it was Rhett who had been attacked... how is he?" His earlier fears had been confirmed by this, as for Paragon going after Grayson and in her eyes still demanding his respect? Oh no, you didn't abandon your allies in the middle of a fight. And if she had already gotten pissy with him over his riticism of saving Rhett, he couldn't wait for when he told her what had happened back in Prague, part of him silently hoped she had forgotten about his offer for an explanation, but he had made a promise and would keep it.

    "
Paragon, will get my respect when he deserves it, you don't abandon your allies to go after a priority target, no matter how high the priority." Hendrick stated, having calmed down from his outburst but there was still venom in his voice. With the last wolf remains set alight, he looked at Brianne. "Come on, we should go. If the Clave is gonna give us **** for breaking the Accords, I'll take the responsibility, you still got potential to rise through the ranks, shame to throw it away. My carreer has already been shot out of the sky so it can take the hit." Hendrick said, he knew full well what he was asking her to do, lying to the Clave, it was a risk in his eyes worth taking.

"Not sure if I can hot wire a car, but I can put a glamour on him." Sien answered. Once again since most of his traveling was done via rooftops, there wasn't much need for him to learn how to hot wire a car, no matter how situationally helpful it could be.

"The answer to your question is a simple one, I'm here to observe and act accordingly." Valister replied. Speaking of acting, the group before him had finished dealing with the wolves. Thus the silence that he had hidden himself in was broken by the simple act of clapping.
"Congratulations on dealing with the wolves. Now if I may asked, just who are you all?"

This was turning out to be a huge waste of time. This man was wasting her time. She could not believe this. The man said that he was here to observe. This was not the full story. She could see that the man was watching the wolves. "What", she started, but thought better to watch this man. She would have liked a more detailed response, but she did not think that she was going to get it. She watched the man closely for might be coming and would stay in the shadows for now, for there was nothing better to do.

Roxanne ran as far away as she could from the police station. Everything in her mind was screaming at her that she messed up. She couldn't protect her friends. It was telling her most of all, that she lost. The evidence of that was written on her skin in the form of two long, jagged scars. She couldn't stand it, she didn't know how to handle it. All she knew was she couldn't go back to the institute. She couldn't return to those she failed.

After a while Roxanne found herself under a bridge. She looked at her scar's and began to cry and yell.
"Get them off! Get them off! I didn't lose! Nick killed him!" But the voice in her head said that she still lost and would have died if it wasn't for Nick. Roxanne began to tear at her skin with her nails, trying to rid herself of the scars. The pain didn't register as her nails managed to break skin. She didn't have the sense to stop as she made herself bleed. All that was going through her mind was that she had to get the marks off her by whatever means necessary.

Brianne ignored Hendrick, the same way he had ignored her orders, and turned to go when-

She drew the stele, eyes focused on the
newcomer. Was he here to hurt, or help? And just how long had he been there? "Brianne, of the Shadowhunters. This is Hendrick." She replied, nerves taut. Could this day get any worse? "And who are you?" He didn't look like a werewolf, but it wasn't safe to judge a book by its cover, and if she were any more careless, she was sure Hendrick would comment on it too, and probably in front of the stranger, with all the tact he had. But then, why should she change her behavior because of his criticisms? It had gotten her this far in one piece.

She straightened, keeping her stele at her side. "
Hendrick, please go and get Roxanne. I'll meet you both back at the Institute." She didn't look at him, keeping her focus on the newcomer. "If he meant to harm us, he would have done so before when it was most opportune."
