Ehhh I don't trust that one too much since it was a filler arc and generally the Shippuden filler have all been really meh

That said I feel like Sasuke's jump into darkness should've ended after he fought Itachi. I got his hatred for Danzo & Konoha elders* but I still don't understand how he made the jump from them to the entire village at large being responsible for everything.

*especially the Third, like...letting Sasuke continue to live in a compudn where his entire family was slaughtered and only providing Naruto with money/shite apartment and nothing else is bonkers

I saw Kizumonogatari (well, Part One) in an American theater

I saw that they would be playing Only Yesturday in Albuquerque in two weeks. I'll be up there for a catheder/check-up, so I'm hoping to get a chance to see it. Although, I don't know how screenings for Ghibli films work; like, is it only showing that one day or will is screen like any other film...

 

I got Celibi this morning. You can apparently also receive your legendary Pokemon via the Mystery Gift when you first turn on the game.

Honestly the only event Mons I'm waiting on are Jirachi, Darkrai, Arceus, and Genesect. The rest I've got at least one each in some way.

 

Celebi is through Mystery Gift, not a code. Just Receive Gift Via Internet.
I got one for both AS and Y, aside from the other two I already have.
Also, Pokemon Bank is giving out the three Regis sometime this month through October.
EDIT: Turns out, it starts tomorrow! And they have their Hidden Abilities~

No, only some of them. It's weird that they didn't just go all one way.

 

Me, too, but turns out they're not. I had to go back to this post to figure it out (after I already made my trip to Gamestop. They were busier than normal and I didn't feel like waiting so I left).

So by my experience, the ones that say Nintendo Network (Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Shaymin, Victini, Keldeo, and Meloetta) you can just download via mystery gift.
And by extension, download one per game.

Well, just try the Internet Mystery Gift first. Nothing means drive.

 

I know lol. I'm just clarifying that for Pokemon, Nintendo Network means to download through Mystery Gift.

 

Atom from Pluto, and by extension Astro Boy from Astro Boy, is the first Japanese character I recognize as a superhero.
what i mean is that from everything I've read/watched Atom comes the closest to the what I recognize out of familiarity as a superhero


this isn't a statement on quality. the Japanese idea of a superhero is this amorphous summation of qualities that is less definitive than the quintessential american hero, though how they differ now is mostly in presentation as even the idea of the american sh has been blurred and smudged throughout the decades, and now it's impossible to say at what point you pin that bone fide superhero badge to and have it apply to everything across the board. it doesn't work. but that doesn't matter because the point of what I'm saying is that he's a pretty damn good character altogether. everyone should read Pluto. i read it in two days. Urasawa's a master. some of his blatant american criticisms rub me the wrong way but I can overlook that in favor of how excellent he is at writing a story.
