" What!?" Lament said turning suddenly to look at him.

 

"I'm just asking"Vulor said looking innocent

Thorn layed down by a tree, and tilted his head up. "This is great. I'm supposed to avoid the person who is staying at my house, and I'm leaving it up to a kid to be the one who helps me distract her. Could things get any worse?" he muttered to himself

 

Lament chuckled. " Your cute you know that." She said to Vulor.

 

"I'm not"Vulor said trying to look angry but he didn't quite make it

 

Lament started laughing at the face he made.

 

"its not funny"he complained like only a six year old could do

 

" I'm sorry." Lament said smiling.

 

Vulor was acting mad

 

Lament stood up and hugged him. " Please don't be mad." She said.

 

"I'm not mad i just don't like people thinking of me as cute"Vulor said

 

" Ok your not cute, your big and strong." She said letting go of him.

 

Vulor smiled "thanks"

"Vulor where are you"Sara's voice shouted

"I'm not here"Vulor said hiding behind Lament

 

Lament looked back at him. " Who is that?" She asked.

 

"Sara she's my aunt, even though she acts like my mother"Vulor said
