The Lost Ones

Kain shrugged and put his hand over his mouth, then he looked at Thorn, there was anger in his voice. "What were you doing in Water City?"

 

"Watching" thorn said. Even though he had to say the truth, it was not like he would have to speak the whole truth, since he still had some control

 

"watching what?", Kain asked him. He was getting impatient because Thorn was avoiding answering the only question he wanted answered.

 

Lament shook her head. She had never had one of her potions go wrong before.

 

"Watching water city get attacked" Thorn said. He truely was struggling against the potion, and if it wasn't for his strong will, he would probably be completely under the potions control. He would have to avoid it as long as possible though

 

Kain got angry and kicked him in the head. "You deal with him, I'm out of here.", he said to the others as he walked for the exit.

 

Lament sighed.

 

Thorn gave a sigh, as he looked back at the ground. He hated being like this, trapped, not able to move, completely helpless. He felt like he did when he was first brought into this mess

 

" Why were you watching th water city get attacked?" Lament asked softly, just out of curiosity.

 

"Felt like it" thorn said, saying only some of the truth, once again

 

" I know that's not the whole answer. And I'm not asking this question for investigation. I'm just curious why someone would just watch a city get destroyed." She said.

 

"Like I said, you should dye your hair blonde. It suits someone of your smarts" thorn said. He was calling her clueless

 

" Do you really want me to get mad? I don't get mad often, but you're starting to ge on my nerves." Lament said.

 

"Oh no, why would I POSSIBLY want you to get mad. After all, ITS NOT LIKE I'M LOCKED UP AGAINST A FREAKEN WALL, AND BEING HELLED AGAINST MY WILL!!!!" thorn yelled.

 

" You really should learn to control your temper." She said and sat down.

 

"The worst part is that the only reason I am here is because I got shot by some half @$$ archer, simply because I was tryen to tell him not to kill you. Well then, I guess that that was a big mistake" thorn said with a sigh

 

" What?" Lament asked looking up at hims surprised.

 

"You already heard what I said" thorn said. He wanted to make a smart @$$ comment, but due to the truth syrum, he couldn't

 

" So you're down here for trying to save me?" She asked standing up.

 

"Yes" thorn said. He was actually getting more pissed off since it was in his nature to make a smart @$$ comment to what lament just asked.
