The Lightning Thief

I remember seeing a short commercial for it. I can't quite recall where, either. But I've read the book, and it's amazing. I can't wait to see it in live action.

 

Trailer looks awesome.

 

Honestly i never really read the book.

But hearing that it involves Greek Gods/Goddesses really caught me onto it, it sounds interesting

 

Not liking the fact they aged up the characters, but I suppose it was to avoid child labor laws.

Never imagined Grover as black, but we'll see how it turns out in February.

 

I can't wait until February, this the first movie made from a book that I REALLY liked. I hope they don't mess it up.

 

I always thought Grover was white.

 

I have mixed feelings about this. I haven't read the books mainly due to the fact that the first one just released in Greece but i have a sense that this is nothing but another HP wannabe.

And i am a bit annoyed by the fact the Olympians are placed in the U.S
What? They don't like Olympus any more? Go figure....

 

Olympus was placed in the west. Not just the Olympians.

 

Olympus moved to the West because of the fact that this is where most people now lived and something like that. They explain it in the book.

 

Loved the books, I still need to read the 4th one. The movie looks interesting, cant wait to see it.

 

lol Now that is interesting. As long as it makes sense in the book...

 

I don't see why everyone is stressing over Grover being black. I personally don't care. I loved the books, and I think the movie looks really good.

 

I suppose they made the characters a bit older to get more attention from teenager and adult audience. I'm not bothered that much about it.People can be so stupid sometimes really, they even critized the fact that the changed the beginning and that Grover is black? Some changes are not that bad, they're actually good.


Anyway, I've only read the first book..the whole Greek mythology thing was what got me interested in the books and the trailer looks good, I'm pretty excited to see this and see Annabeth in action, she's my favorite character.



..and also Logan Lerman.. that guy is just simply good looking anomnomnom~

 

~Bump~ for the release of the film 8D.

I'm a bit worried about how it's gonna turn out; the critics are at about 50% on Rotten Tomatoes and they keep comparing it to Harry Potter, but I'm going to go see it this weekend.

Anyone who's seen it yet?

 

If I do go out and see this movie, Logan would be the only reason why I went.

Never read the book, but from looking at the trailer, the main character kind of seems too childish for my taste.

Oh! Just remembered, I think I saw Uma Thurman for a brief second the same trailer. If she is in it I'll defiantly go. I don't usually go see movies for it's actors, but I'm a fan of hers. I think she plays Madusa. Is she a main character?

 

Medusa... Eh, no, she's a villain. It's been a while since I read the books, but I know

they defeat her and she doesn't cause any more trouble, or at least for a while.

I can't remember if she comes back. ._.
I'm pretty sure that's Uma Thurman though, yeah.

 

Saw it today. Pretty entertaining movie. Didn't like the acting very much though.

 

Saw it, Compleatly different plot from the book=(. Some of the characters wre spot on, others not so much. Some didn't even make an appearance! Anyway it was entertaining, but still mostly a dissapointment.
