Bellatrix shook her head and looked up at him in the tree, "i can barely rememebr anything anymore. all i remember is darkness so yeah....was the battle really that huge?"

 

Lynn looked for Nova

 

Caeres sighed. "Yes it was. Unfortunately I'm the last paladin now." He frowned and looked into the sky.

 

Nova grabbed the rose and layed it on a mound of dirt. I mean it. They will pay.

 

"last? hm....well can't more people become paladins? or do you have to be specificlally picked?"

 

"Hand picked. And it's not easy." Caeres frowned.

 

Nova threw a knife at a tree nearby in fury making it tilt a little. You should've never gave your life to me.

 

"ah.well what do you have to do?" she asked.

 

"Too much for you to go through unless you are really good. you have to be born to be one. one way to know is if you have a special sword like ours. finished being forged the same minute you're born."

 

"well that definetely counts me out..." Bella muttered and sighed "so the swords are really special huh? what can they do that the others can't?"

 

"One, transform. Two, they are connected to our soul. They are not just swords, they ARE US." Caeres was starting to get annoyed by all the questions.

 

"what do they transform into?" Bellatrix asked, still very curious, "and how are they connected to your soul??"

 

"That is something only a paladin needs to know. I mean about the soul. And mine personnaly can turn into a dragon made of fire. My sword's name is brandor." Caeres was getting really irritated by now but suppressed it.

 

"ok, a couple more questions" Bella said, " one, why only them? two, what does the transformation depend on, and three, got any cookies?"

 

"The transformation depends on the person. each person has a special power that's put into the sword. You'll never be able to unlock it until you have your sword. I found Brandor lying on the streets. You know if it's the sword. My feelings at the moment of the battle affect the sharpness of my blade. When you want me to fight, you say that as if you were talking to two people. And I don't have any cookies."

 

"ok. now what do you mean by power exactly? shouldn't you get the sword and how did you it was meant for you or how exactly did you recognize it? and ok i got it. and sigh" Bellatrix said, suddenly hungry.

 

"You just know it's that one. And it's finished it's forging the second you got it. There's a way to know without seeing it at the forge. And by power I mean such as brandor's transformation. He has about 10 more." Caeres saw that she was hungry and threw a loaf of bread at her. "It's all I've got."

 

"ok, no more questions. wouldn't want you to start getting annoyed at me" she laughed and took the bread, "thanks" she tore off a piece and ate it, "its no cookie but it'll do"
