The Light V.S The Darkness 2

Gex ran after her, feeling his bones jar in his flesh with each landing of his feet. Such a wild spirit. The only things that were even close to her were killed by his hands years ago. It was nice to have a breath of fresh air from someone like that again.

 

She waited till he was almost in front of her in the alley, then jumped at him, grinning from ear to ear. Let's see if he can stop this.

 

Being taken by surprise, he didn't even fight back as he was thrown to the ground. It had happened so fast. What was she gonna do now? It was all so confusing. If it had been anyone else he'd have been dead.

 

Grinning devilishly, she pinned him, then put her mouth by his ear. "Gotcha." she whispered, barely breathing as her heart sped up. He could easily turn the tide, but for now she held the upper cards.

 

"yeah you do."
Smiling a sheepish smile, Gex didn't know what to do. It was all new to him. What was going to happen next? what would she do?

 

Kira grinned, experimentally skimming her fingers over his neck. "So I wonder..." she murmured, her grin slowly dimming to a smile. "What it's like to be like you."

 

He looked away at the question, his eyes have closed. No one ever asked that before. All they wanted to do was use him, kill him, or beg for their lives at his feet. No one ever cared about what it took to be him.

"It..." He paused
"It is confusing. Like being in a tornado where nothing makes sense."

 

Kira tilted her head, listening. "That doesn't sound so fun." she asked, gently running her fingers over his chest. "Maybe you should try riding the tornado."

 

Gex let out a small chuckled at her remark.

"Well, that's what I'm doing right now...with you."

 

She smiled, then realized where she was with him, exactly, and blushed. Twice in one day. Was the world going to end? She slowly got up, and offered him a hand up.

 

He took her hand gently and helped him self up. The moments that have just passed here were heavy with importance. Gex knew that. What he didn't know is what the importance was.

 

She smiled, then turned, looking up. Slowly climbing up the ladder of vines, she reached the roofs again. The fastest mode of travel in this world. She loved it. "Coming?" she called back

 

He looked up at her in amazement. How could she do that?

"Wow, how'd you do that?" He never knew someone could go that fast with just their arms.

 

She giggled. "Practice. I didn't just sit around waiting for you, ya know. I had to do something." she cartwheeled on the rooftop, then looked out, maybe for some new victims.

 

Bright sat back and watched things unfold. "Well, it seems all is calm. Too bad, I was hoping for some action."

 

Hoping to follow her, Gex grabbed on to the vines. They were flimsy, so he didn't think it would support him.

 

She glanced back, then looked down at him. "Are you afraid? Or you need help?" she teased, a smile lighting her face.

 

Gex looked up at her, a nervous grin on his face

"both?"

 

Kira grinned, then leaned down, extending her good arm. "C'mon, I'll help you up." her skin turned pale in the sunlight, making her look more fragile then she was.

 

Gex looked up at her and sharply looked away in embarrasement. He had never seen anything so fragile looking that wasn't already broken.
he didn't know what to do.
