I really enjoy the Link one. It looks like you stretched it a little far, but that's fine either way. And the color and lighting workds really great. I may not be the best critic, but this is a great piece
Well, first of all, when you're resizing ALWAYS hold down the shift key. That will lock the proportion of the image so that it doesn't get the 'stretched' look. Anyway, I think it's good that you're playing around with sharpening/blurring, they're excellent for creating depth and giving your signature a more finished look. I think the blending efforts on Link are really nice, too--I only wish you had maybe tried some of the same on the Halo one! I think your backgrounds are pretty interesting as well, but try to stay away from creating one part that is entirely one color--it makes things look very flat. See that large yellow area in the upper left of the Link tag? That's what I mean. Keep going at it. =]
Both seem...nice.But What really annoys me is the link one is stretched out a little.Surprisingly i think the bored actually make the thing look somewhat better :D XD
Link's looking a bit thin, don't you think? And about the dissolving look on his arm and shield, that may be a little too much of it. On Master Chief, his blur to the bottom is a bit to...well, blurred. Ease up a bit? I like them anyway, nicely done.
Take Misty's advice. That's the biggest problem I have with these though. For 1, the smudging looks a bit off to me. Try toning it down and making it flow a bit better. That will help. For 2 it looks great. The color scheme works great for the Halo stock.
I like the link one, though I dont get the background really. If you think this hurts, try the burning tool.
I like the Halo one best out of the too. The Link one is bit stretched for my liking but I like the blending effects on the Link quite abit. Overall good job (:
