The Legend of Dragoon

Michael sighed.

"Never have liked the rain.....seems like only bad things happen when it rains."

 

When he was finished eating, he went outside and joined Sophia.

 

"Might as well try out my new power. Never know when I will have to use it."

Michael summoned his sword and went out to the courtyard. He focused the winds as Fenrir had instructed him to. Time seemed to slow to a crawl. Michael ran and swung his sword at the raindrops. When he stopped, time resumed its normal flow. All of the raindrops he slashed split open and smaller drops splashed on the ground.

 

Sophia saw Michael and smiled, she made the rain fall faster and harder.

 

"Cut it out, Sophia! I'll never get my wings dry now!"

 

Cliff grew bored and lay back.

 

"i can always make the water come out ya'know anyway was only trying to help." Sophia sighed and walked inside.

 

"Hey! Wait for me!" he said, getting up and going inside.

 

Michael went back inside and took off his armor, leaving him dressed in the black robe he wore underneath. He sat the armor on the stone floor and let it dry out as he shook water from his wings.

"Why couldn't these things be waterproof?"

The jade dragon laughed

"You look like a drowned rat."

"Not now, dragon."

 

Sophia waved her hand and the water can out of his wings, "there," Sophia said not bothering to look at him. Sophia closed her eyes and wondered about the wingly.

"Sorry I overreacted, Sophia. It's just that the rain brings up bad memories for me...."

 

Sophia kept her eyes closed "hum..." she said simply.

 

"Is something wrong Sophia?"

 

Michael pulled out the orb of orcrist again. Once more it shined a pale green light.

"Why is the orb activating? Unless there are other souls nearby..."

Slowly, souls of fallen knights and keldon warriors appeared in the room.

"No....This couldn't be....."

"But it is, boy. This is the Fortress of K'eld Ner, one of the human's bases during the Demonium War."

 

Sophia looked at the warriors and stepped back.

 

"What the hell is going on here!?"

 

"That accursed war....the very reason my people lie on the verge of extinction."

Michael clenched his fist in rage.

 

Sophia walked out the door, and suddenly the rain came faster and heavier.

 

Cliff also went outside.

 

"Cliff, go away!" Sophia shouted her eyes turning blue, She turned and ran to the forest.
