"You mean I wasn't disqualified when I fell asleep?" he asked, taking the money.

 

"ah, but i did tell you remember, before we set off i said that the night of the dragon was on during the wind festival." she smiled.

 

"She's got ya there, buddy!" he said, smiling. "Anywho, what actually happened?"

 

"No Cliff, you were still in the ring when you fell asleep. The officials thought you were waiting for your chance to strike. It's a shame that you slept through the match, you missed out on a intense battle."

Michael turned to Sophia again

"Sorry, forgot that you told me about the night of the dragon, just was not expecting what had happened."

"It was weird though, the dragoon spirits began glowing, then it was like our powers were going out of control. Thought the dragons were trying to speak to us, but I could not make out what they were saying."

 

"Hmm." he said, thinking. "I had a dream that a Golden dragon was speaking to me, but it was like it was speaking in a different language or something. I couldn't understand a word it said!"

 

" i know something but i will have to do it again soon to be understand what it meant and cliff on the night i'm doing it again make sure the divine dragon is locked up tight; i have a fear that the dragoon spirits might go to far and summon the dragons, that will cause trouble."

 

He pulled out the box and said "Don't worry, I'll keep it locked and take it with me everywhere I go."

 

"sometimes the dragon language is understandable but you have to be able to turn the words into a song and then listen to it carefully. like if you turned 'the dragon's essesence' into words it should be in dragon lauguage what is why the dragoon spirits acted like that." Sophia smiled and looked at her piccolo then said "Michael you can play the flute can't you?" she asked.

 

"Yes I can. In fact there is a music competition tonight, I was thinking of entering."

Michael heard some church bells in the distance.

"Why are the bells ringing? That church has been sealed and abandoned for years. I'm going to take a look."

 

Sophia smiles with delight "i think i'll enter too and do a ancient song from my village and no i don't think it will cause the dragoon spirits to try and contact us."

 

"Sounds good. I am going to check out the church, so I will meet you in the town square later."

Michael ran towards the church.

 

"I won't enter cause I can't play an instrument, but I'll listen to you guys play!" he said. *sigh* "If only there was a rock sculpting contest."

 

*Jeraxan teleported into the town where everyone was at*
"So, the dragoons are here..........This should be fun......."

 

"you should learn to play." *she shivers* "i suddenly don't feel right." she said to Cliff.

 

Michael entered the church and saw a strange man sitting on the altar.

"Long time, no see brother." The man said.

"Edrick?! What are you doing here?"

"Taking back what is mine!" Edrick swung his sword at Michael, barely giving him time to block.

"What are you talking about?"

"The Dragoon Spirit, brouther, what else? I killed father for it, but he gave it to you, so here I am."

"Murderer!!" Michael screamed, driving him into a rage.

The brother's blades clashed, making sparks, then suddenly, the church burst into flames.

The two continued to battle. Michael eventually disarmed Edrick and pointed his sword at Edrick's throat.

"I should kill you now for what you did, but that would make me no better than you, so I will spare your life. Pray that you don't see me again, for I will kill you next time."

Michael turned to leave, when Edrick charged at Michael with a dagger.

Michael thrust his sword back, stabbing Edrick in the chest.

"Coward, I show you mercy, and this is how you repay me?!. May the spirits condemn you to hell!"

He pulled the sword from Edrick's chest and sliced off his head.

"Father, you are avenged." Michael thought to himself as he left Edrick's body to be consumed by the flames.

 

Worried, he put his hands on her shoulders and asked "What's wrong!?"

In one of my earlier posts, I said my character's brother hated him for being the next chosen dragoon. Figured the two needed some closure.

 

"Micheal, is something wrong?" Kai asked, seeing Micheal walking out of the church.

 

"i don't know but there is something in the air." Sophia said.
