The Legend of Dragoon

Michael landed. He was approached by a few soldiers with concerned looks on their faces.

"What's the matter, soldier?"

"My lord, some of the troops are concerned about fighting alongside the teraw. They're afraid that we'll get stabbed in the back by them. Some are even thinking about desertion."

"I see...You can tell them that if they leave, they must disarm themselves and they will be stripped of their rank. I'm not going to let such petty excuses rip this army to shreads. If I don't have any problems fighting alongside the teraw, they shouldn't either."

"Aye, sir. I'll inform the rest of the men."

 

"how stupid." Sophia muttered as she landed beside soldiers, "like i'll stab you in the back." she said sacrasticly, she walked over to michael and sighed "why are they afraid of my kind?" she asked.

 

"Yes, why?" he asked, landing next to them.

 

"I have no idea. Still, I meant every word I said. I've got no time for paranoid cowards in my army."

 

"anyway my kind thinks it is dishonourable to stab someone in the back." Sophia said loudly.

 

"They shouldn't have anything to fear now. Besides, most of these soldiers don't know how to do anything other than being a soldier, so they wouldn't desert the army so easily."

 

"hum..." Sophia said, she just looked at one of the soldiers in the eye and nodded, "i have faith with you, michael and you too cliff." She said.

 

"And I have faith in you, Sophia."

 

"Fighting is what I've spent most of my life doing, besides, I can't die yet. I'm going to be a married man soon."

 

Sophia nodded and said to cliff and michael, "may the gruadian spirit of teraw watch over you."

 

"He bowed to her. "May it watch over you as well." he said. "May it watch over us all."

 

"May the four wind gods also bless us."

 

"idened, ti lahsl." Sophia answered in her own tongue.

 

"And may the divine dragon protect us."

 

"idened, ti lahsl." sophia said again, she jumped back into the air and flew above the clouds.

 

Michael turned to his troops.

"So, any of you feel like quitting now?"

One of the soldiers stepped forward.

"No, sir! I speak for the rest of the men when I say that we would follow you to the very gates of hell if we must."

"That's very reassuring, soldier, but I don't plan on going there anytime soon."

 

"nor would i." Sophia said as she came down, "if i may ask you, soldier have you been trained out smart a demon?" she asked.

 

"No, I haven't." The soldier said. "Why do you ask?"

 

"You may need to." he said.

 

"because we might be fighting demonic creatures." Sophia answered.
