"Where are we?" Kai grabbed onto Michael's hand.

 

"Apparently, this was the sealed library of Uschtenheim...but it looks like a fire broke out here."

"I wonder where this wire goes...."

Zephyr followed the wire, until she ran into the back wall.

"You okay, Zephyr?"

"Just fine, despite the fact that I hit my head on a wall."

 

Kai walked up to Zephyr. "You're alright." She smiled.

 

The white haired child appeared again, this time he was sitting on the floor crying.

"Father...where are you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I've been wating for my father here....I have seen him push a brick on that wall and walk through a door that appeared, but I haven't seen him come out...."

Zephyr started pushing on bricks. The child then dissapeared.

"He looks a lot like me...."

 

Kai looked at Michael. "Who do you think that is......"

 

"I don't know..."

Zephyr pushed another brick and the wall opened.

"The wire continues on. Let's go."

"Slow down, Zephyr!"

 

"Yes! We don't want to lose you!" Kai ran after her.

 

Zephyr continued on, until she hit a strange glass tube.

"Ouch.....what the heck is this?"

"Looks like some kind of lab."

Michael looked on the table. On it was a book. Written on the cover was 'Keldon Regeneration Project.'

Michael flipped through the book. It detailed plans to revive dead keldon by pulling their souls from the spectral plane and placing them within souless shells called 'Homunculi'. The project hit a snag, however, as the revived keldon had no emotions or memories of who they were. Most of the specimens in the project died, but the survivors went into a berserk rage, and went on a killing spree. The project was later abandoned. At the end of the book, there was a note from the head of the project, begging for forgivness for the sins he had commited. It was signed 'Lord Alastor Nightroad'.

"Lord Alastor Nightroad...My father was a king?!"

 

"What?! It would mean..... you would be a prince?!" Kai backed away from Michael.

 

She made it to the top after a hard climb and occasionally falling down.

*panting* That.....was...an unnecessary climb......I'm surprised I'm not dead from that last fall.......I can't believe no one heard that.....if there was anyone here...

Nearly scared me half to death when your hand slipped....

I was worried you'd die but I couldn't let that happen to you. I would die too.

*sigh*...but...we finally...made it......owww.......my back.....

She collapsed on the balcony on her back.

 

Michael fell to his knees.

"Imagine that....Michael Nightroad, prince of a dead kingdom...."

He started to laugh.

 

Kai slowly walked up to him. She reached a hand to touch his shoulder. "Michael......"

 

"Why did he never tell me what I was....How could he commit such horrible atrocities..."

 

Kai got on her knees, and grabbed Michael by his shoulders. "Listen! If your father was still on that path, you never would met me! And we would never be where we are now! I would never felt this love!" She pushed herself toward him and kissed him on the lips.

 

Such drama.......

*sigh*....okay....I'm done resting....ugh....I still....feel...dizzy......

She gets up but took a step backwards on accident.

W-what's going on?....

Angel! You're falling!

This is too high!

She plummets downwards in the palace.

 

OOC: Watch that first step.....got to go, I'll be back in a few minutes.

 

OCC: Alright. See ya in a few.

 

OOC: Sorry, but, um, what just happened?

 

OCC: Michael just found out his father was a king of a dead kingdom. But Kai told him what would happen if he was there.

 

OOC: Oh, okay, thanks...are we still in the ruins of the city (or town)?
