The Legend of Dragoon

Kai sat down near the spring in the center of town and sighed. She started to sing.

"Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you. That is how I know you go on......"

 

Michael heard Kai at the spring and headed over there, careful not to get her attention.

He snuck up behind her and grabbed her.

 

Kai gasped and saw Michael. She laughed.

"Hey, Michael......"

 

"I meant to ask you before, what is your dragon like?"

 

"Well, my dragon is bugging me like our engagement, and when we're in the play."

 

"So does mine. I think my dragon is like a lecherous old man!" Michael started laughing.

 

Kai laughed, too. She stared into the sky.

"It's weird. Before we met in my village, I kept dreaming I would meet my angel. And I did."

 

"Must have been fate...."

 

"Yeah. I dreamt about you. Did you dream about me?"

 

"Seems like from the time I first met you, I couldn't get you out of my mind."

 

"If I explore your mind, most of your thoughts would be of me, huh?"

 

"More than likely, but I'm sure that the opposite is true for you."

 

Kai only smiled, she sighed. "What did you mean?"

 

Oh crap oh crap oh.....crap...my god...that was close...dang....they fire arrows way better than any human being would....ah!.....I've got to get out of here fast....

Guard the gate! Don't let it escape! We must avenge Villgust!

It?....I'm an "it" now?

Well....that's you two....ah!....they're throwing axes now?! Whoa! Damn it...gotta run faster.....oh no...there's a line of them up ahead....

She jumps high above the line of Keldon guards in the street and the chase continues.

Okay....that....wasn't so bad.....now....do we stay in this town or do we go?

I thought you were going to get skewered......okay...well....you could try hiding in this place and if they're still trying to go after you then you can leave.

"I mean that most of your thoughts are of me, right?"

 

"Yeah....." Kai felt something, and looked toward the gate. "Did you feel that? Felt like the dark dragoon......"

 

Meanwhile, Cliff was sleeping.

 

Hey! There's that inn up ahead!........I made a giant u-turn?.....oh well.....lets hope the guy let's us in.

She quickly runs into the inn and ducks behind the counter of the bar.

Hey! What're you doing here?

Oh...hi! Remember me?

No I d-...oh! you're that piano player.....what're you doing here?

Nothing...just.....hanging out....

What's that racket out there? Something about the Black Monster being here...yeah right....this place is securely guarded.

Uh...y-yeah....crazy isn't it?

 

"Why does she keep following us? It's getting rather annoying...."

"Arrogant, aren't we?"

"I'm just getting tired of being followed by her...."

 

Kai looked at the sky.

"Looks like a thunderstorm. We better get back to the inn. Um, Michael, can I sleep with you.....?"
