The Legend of Dragoon

"I sense two auras, one feels like Sophia's and the other's probably the dark dragoon."

 

"Can you see which way they went?"

 

"It's hard to tell, but one thing's for sure. Sophia's alright, and the dark dragoon seems like she's looking for somethings."

 

"Good, now draw your sword and throw away the sheath, you aren't going to need it anymore."

 

Kai did as she was told. "Now what, Michael?"

 

"Just wait....."

As soon as Michael said this, Kai's sword vanished.

 

Kai looked in surprise, but then her sword appeared in her hand again. "I can summon my sword....."

 

Michael summoned his blade.

"Your weapon has been symbiotically attached to your soul, that's why you won't need a sheath anymore. Now we had better get moving if we are going to find Sophia."

 

Kai nodded in agreement. "Right. Can you sense the auras, too?"

 

"From what I can see, they left a trail of spritual essence heading north, but the trail stops some distance ahead. We will probably find some clue to their whereabouts at the end of the trail."

 

"That's one clue. Cliff, you better come with us."

 

Michael heard something stirring in the bushes.

"Seems that we're not alone...."

 

Kai readied her sword for battle.

'Okay. Lets do it!'

 

A wolf lept from the bushes, seeing what had invaded its territory. It growled as it readied to lunge at its opponents, but stopped as it stared at Michael.

"Kain, is that you?"

The wolf stopped growling and walked back through the bushes returning with a piccolo. Kain laid it at Michael's feet.

"This is Sophia's. She must have dropped it."

Michael handed it to Cliff. "You better hold on to it."

 

"You know it!"

Kai held out her hand to the wolf, so she could pet it. "Maybe he'll like me, too."

 

Kain sat down as Kai petted him.

"Guess he likes you."

Michael looked at Kain.

"Can you take us to where you found the piccolo?"

Kain stood up and barked in approval. The group followed the wolf.

 

"It's weird, I always thought I was human, but I found out I'm a Keldon. Before this, I thought we were like characters in the play and my favorite story, Beauty and the Beast."

 

"So you're saying that I's some kind of beast?"

 

"Of course not. While everyone else thought you were a monster, I was the only one to see kindness in you. If you were a beast, you're a very handsome one."

 

"Thanks....I think."
